Arsenal parts ways with defender Tomiyasu after injury-ridden season
The 26-year-old suffered multiple knee and calf injuries during his four years at the North London club, some of which sidelined him for months. He remains sidelined since undergoing knee surgery in February.
'Unfortunately, injuries have limited Tomi's time on the pitch in the past two seasons, with the defender making just one substitute appearance last season,' Arsenal said in a statement.

'It was therefore mutually agreed to end Tomi's contract in order for him to start a new chapter in his career.'
The former Bologna player made 65 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, scoring two goals.
Arsenal, which has finished second in the league for the last three seasons, begins its 2025-26 campaign at Manchester United on August 17.

Kyle Walker joins Burnley on two-year contract
Burnley: Kyle Walker has joined newly-promoted side Burnley on a permanent transfer ending his highly successful stay at Manchester City. After a short loan spell in Italy with AC Milan last season, Walker returned to Man City but could not find a place in the squad which was eliminated by Al-Hilal in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup. Walker, 35, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Turf Moor and links up with his former Spurs and England teammate, Clarets boss Scott Parker, ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season. With 410 English top-flight appearances to his name, Walker - widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Premier League history - has enjoyed a trophy-laden career during his time as a Manchester City player, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one Champions League, as well as being named in the Premier League Team of the Year on four occasions. The 28-year-old Jota and 25-year-old Silva were found dead near Zamora in northwestern Spain after the Lamborghini they were driving crashed and burst into flames on an isolated stretch of highway just after midnight on Thursday. At the match between Al Hilal and Fluminense at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, players formed a circle at midfield as the video board displayed a photo of the Portuguese football players. Neto held up the jersey during the moment of silence with the help of Enzo Fernández. Spanish police are investigating the cause of the crash, which did not involve another vehicle, they said. They said they believe it could have been caused by a blown tire. Jota's death occurred two weeks after he married longtime partner Rute Cardoso while on vacation following a long season when he helped Liverpool win the Premier League. The couple had three children, the youngest born last year. Silva played for the Portuguese club Penafiel in the lower divisions.
