'The Four Seasons' gets the green light for season 2 after its debut success

"The Four Seasons" fans will get another chance to vacation with their besties when the series returns.
Netflix recently announced the renewal of the comedy, despite the show initially being a limited series.
After making its debut on May 1, the show quickly climbed to the top of Netflix's most-watched list, prompting a swift greenlight for more episodes just two weeks later.
The streaming giant teased this exciting news on Instagram, asking fans, "Who's ready for another vacation?"
Starring Tina Fey (Kate), Will Forte (Jack), Steve Carell (Nick), Kerri Kenney-Silver (Anne), Colman Domingo (Danny) and Marco Calvani (Claude), the series has captivated audiences with its relatable exploration of friendship and love in middle age.
Adapted from Alan Alda's 1981 romantic comedy of the same name, "The Four Seasons" follows six lifelong friends, three couples, who embark on a weekend getaway. However, the holiday takes a dramatic turn when one couple announces they are on the verge of splitting.
Co-creator Fey spoke about the theme of the show in an online interview stating: "We've talked about the show being a love letter to long-term relationships, both platonic and romantic. Sometimes when you are struggling with something with just your spouse, you need a group of friends to bring humour to it."
This witty and poignant examination of the highs and lows of close-knit friendships strikes a chord with viewers, earning its spot atop the viewing charts.
The first season concluded with a gripping cliffhanger, the death of Nick and the revelation of his girlfriend Ginny's pregnancy, however, there remains uncertainty about the direction of the upcoming season.
It's yet to be finalised whether the next season will continue the existing storyline or introduce a completely new cast and narrative as an anthology series.
Co-creator Tracey Wigfield mentioned that if they were to proceed with the same group, Ginny would play a significant role, forming connections with Anne as their children become siblings.
The early renewal excitement does come with one problem though: the A-list cast's demanding schedules could affect the production timeline.
Fey is currently busy executive producing "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins", while Domingo is involved in numerous projects, including a much-anticipated Michael Jackson biopic.
As a result, fans may face a longer wait than desired for the next instalment of "The Four Seasons".

And a rib-tickling one at that. If you are looking for a delightful movie to enjoy this weekend, look no further than 'Semi-Soeter' . Reset restore all settings to the default values Done Beginning of dialog window. Escape will cancel and close the window. Firstly, picturesque Cape Town shines in several of the frames. This sequel to the 2012 'Semi-Soet' kicks off with Jaci van Jaarsveld (Alexander) and JP Basson (Panagio) having their hands full babysitting the rambunctious brood of Hertjie Greyling (Louw Venter) and Karla (Vaughn). While they love their best friends' little ones, they are grateful to be able to give them back to their parents. The career-driven couple decided a long time ago that children were not on the cards. However, their world is upended by a major pitch for an international baby brand that could turn the fortunes of their company around. At first, it appears to be a smooth-sailing pitch until they learn that Joubert (Van Jaarsveld), a college rival of JP's, is also in the running. The competitive streak between the two overshadows the pitch, with a well-meaning Hertjie and Karla deciding to loan their baby boy, Henry, to their best friends to help them land the deal. Kris Jenner rewears Kim Kardashian's iconic Dolce and Gabbana gown in Venice
Kim Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner in the same dress. Image: Instagram / krisjenner Kris Jenner has once again cemented her status as a style icon by confidently stepping out in a look that fans of the Kardashian-Jenner family have seen before. The 69-year-old momager took to Instagram on Monday to share a series of photos from the weekend, where she dazzled in a dramatic purple Dolce & Gabbana gown. She wore the show-stopping piece to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's star-studded wedding celebration in Venice over the weekend. If you're a devoted follower of the family, you probably already know that it's the same one Kim Kardashian wore in 2023 at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show in Puglia. Rather than brushing over the fashion repeat, Kris leaned into the moment with a playful caption. 'DOLCE DOLCE DOLCE in my best Carrie Bradshaw voice… We'll always have Venice!' she wrote. 'Thank you Jeff and Lauren for the unforgettable memories, we love you!!' She went on to make a candid style confession saying: 'P.S… Kim wore this amazing dress at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show in Puglia a couple years ago, and I was so in love with it, it was just too beautiful not to bring back for this special weekend!!' And, true to form, her choice didn't go unnoticed by the family. 'I may have gotten called out on the family group chat…' she joked, before adding: 'Kim, you're my inspiration!!' While some might hesitate to rewear a look that's already had its moment, Kris wore it with confidence and grace, radiating elegance in the regal, flowing gown. The Dolce & Gabbana number wasn't her only fashion win of the weekend. She also stepped out in a vintage black Valentino gown, featuring sheer white sleeves, which was a timeless, classic ensemble that highlighted her enduring sense of style. From her glamorous looks to her self-aware sense of humour, Kris Jenner proved yet again that great fashion knows no age and that confidence is always in style. IOL Lifestyle
