Here's why the Miracle Halo illuminator is shopping writer Lauren's go-to summer product
All my fellow beauty girlies will know the joys of Trinny London, the eponymous brand from makeover queen Trinny Woodall. Known for its clever, stackable pots and ultra-wearable formulas, Trinny London has carved out a loyal following for products that are equal parts practical and glow-inducing.
I've been lucky enough to try a fair few of the brand's cult favourites over the years (for the record, Lash2Brow is my holy grail), so when I heard about the launch of its newest product, Miracle Halo, I was excited to give it a go. The latest drop is a radiance-boosting illuminator designed to provide skin that lit-from-within glow, wearable on its own or easily mixed in with moisturiser and foundation.
Now that summer is in full swing, I avoid foundation as it doesn't hold up when the heat hits. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to sacrifice a flawless complexion, so I'm hoping Miracle Halo could be the lightweight alternative I've been searching for.
Scroll down to see how I fared - and whether this glow-giver has earned a permanent spot in my summer makeup routine.
My honest review of Trinny London's Miracle Halo
Miracle Halo comes in Trinny London's signature sleek silver packaging, giving it a luxe feel that far exceeds its £32 price tag. It looks good sitting on my vanity, which is always a plus.
There are four shades available: Starlight, Candlelight, Sunlight, and Firelight. I opted for the latter, a gentle neutral bronze. Since I regularly wear fake tan, I figured it would give me that post-holiday glow.

Product Description
However, I'll admit that things didn't get off to the best start. The pump, unfortunately, is a bit of a menace. I was hoping for a controlled dose, but instead, one press dispensed way too much product - more than I'll ever need in one go - which was a massive waste.
I worried I was being too heavy-handed, so I tried again when I needed a subtle highlight to accentuate my cheekbones, but the same thing happened. It's definitely a product where less is more, and the pump didn't seem to have received the memo.
For those who prefer to avoid pump mishaps, I recommend Fenty Beauty's Liquid Killawatt Fluid Freestyle Highlighter (£26). It comes in a squeezable tube, making it a much better option for controlled use. Otherwise, a powder highlighter, such as MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter (£34), is a good alternative.
I also had a moment of panic that Firelight was too dark for my skin tone, even with my tan. But, as with many things in beauty, first impressions can be deceiving.
I decided to mix a couple of small dabs of Miracle Halo into my favourite Laneige moisturiser, and this is where things turned around. The product blended beautifully into my skin; it's incredibly lightweight, to the point where I couldn't even feel it on my face. That's exactly what I want during the warmer months when foundation can feel like a sweat-fest.
The glow it gives is subtle but effective - more of a healthy, sun-kissed boost than a noticeable shimmer, which makes it ideal for no-makeup makeup days. After layering on my usual bronzer, blush and concealer, everything sat perfectly on top. Miracle Halo acted like a glowing base, pulling everything together and giving my skin that elusive 'well-rested look' I'm always chasing.
To finish, I applied a little more highlight to my cheekbones, and it made them pop, giving them a glowy, dewy look. I looked radiant and put-together, without the heavy feel of a full face.
A little really does go a long way with this product, so despite the pump situation, this tube will last me all summer (and then some). Though I'll definitely need to figure out a way to control the pump so I'm not wasting precious drops of glow each time.
Despite the rocky start, Miracle Halo has firmly earned a spot in my summer lineup. If you're after an easy, breathable glow without the weight of foundation, this one's well worth a try.

Advertisement 14 Spotify has plenty of free music – but it's not your only option Credit: Spotify 14 Amazon customers can bag free music too Credit: Amazon To save you searching, we've tracked down some of the most tempting freebies hiding on your phone or tablet today. FREE MUSIC It's no secret that Spotify offers a free tier. You won't be able to choose specific songs and you'll endure ads – but it's free. However, there are plenty of alternatives to Spotify that you might prefer. Advertisement One potentially cheaper option is Amazon Music Prime, which comes included with your regular Amazon Prime subscription. It gets you more than 100 million songs, and it's totally ad-free. So if you're already paying for Prime, then this is a great freebie that'll save you sitting through Spotify ads (or paying for Premium). If you're an Apple fan, you have two great options available to you. The first is Apple's "new device offer", which gives you three months of Apple Music for free. Advertisement This is Apple's own Spotify rival that normally costs £10.99 a month. You get it if you've recently bought an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or HomePod, or a pair of AirPods or Beats headphones. Set up your new device, then just launch the Apple Music app and your offer should appear right away. Claim it and away you go. Sky customers can claim delicious freebies in new giveaway scheme Apple Music can also be heavily discounted if you're a student. You can claim a one-month trial, and then pay just £5.99 a month for up to 48 months. Advertisement All you need to be eligible for the offer is to be enrolled in a degree-granting university. It means you'll save £240 over the course of four years. Not a bad saving. 14 Apple AirPods entitle you to a handy music freebie Credit: Apple FREE TV There's also no end of free telly available if you know where to look. In the Music section above, I mentioned how you could get half-price Apple Music. Advertisement Well, if you're eligible for that offer, Apple also chucks in Apple TV+ at no extra cost. Yes, really. Once you start the Apple Music Student subscription, just go to Apple TV and it'll work right away. The only catch is that you can't share it with Family Sharing. 14 Apple Music Student subscriptions also come with a special TV perk Credit: Apple You can also get Apple TV+ for free if you buy a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac. You'll be able to bag three months of membership – normally that would be £8.99 a month, totalling £26.97. Advertisement And you can even share this with up to five other family members through Family Sharing. You'll just need to claim the deal within three months of first setting up new new Apple gadget. 14 Apple TV+ is packed with top telly, including hit footie comedy/drama series Ted Lasso Credit: Apple But what else is out there? If you're an Amazon Prime member, you probably know that you get Prime Video as part of your membership. Advertisement But you can also take a cut-price membership that only gives you Prime Video, which costs just £5.99 a month instead of £8.99 for full Prime. There's also a deal that gets you full Prime for £4.49, as long as you're a student or aged between 18 and 22. 14 Prime Video is loaded with amazing telly Credit: Amazon How much does Amazon Prime cost? Here's how the prices break down... Prime monthly (£8.99 monthly) – £107.88 a year Prime annual – £95 a year Prime Video (£5.99 monthly) – £71.88 a year Prime 18-22/student (£4.49 monthly) – £53.88 a year Prime 18-22/student annual – £47.49 a year Prime 18-22/student monthly + 6-month free trial – £26.94 for first year Prime 18-22/student annual + 6-month free trial – £23.75 for first year Picture Credit: Amazon An even thriftier option is to take advantage of the endless supply of free TV apps out there. Normally, the catch is that you'll need to view ads – but you'll also have to sit through commercial breaks even on the cheapest paid-for Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ tiers. Advertisement I tested a load of free TV apps earlier this year, and some of my favourites included Tubi, Plex, and Pluto TV. If you've got a Samsung TV, then you probably know that you can enjoy Samsung TV Plus for free. That'll get you loads of live TV channels. 14 Samsung TV Plus isn't just for televisions – it works on your mobile too Credit: Samsung But it's also possible to unlock Samsung TV Plus on Samsung phones and tablets too – something many telly fans miss. Just go into the app store and download Samsung TV Plus and you'll get the same enormous library of free telly. Advertisement FREE GAMES Obviously, there's no shortage of free games out there on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. In fact, I served up free top picks that you'll actually play for hours earlier this year – check out my guide to the best free mobile games. 14 Apple Arcade is filled with premium games for you to play Credit: Apple But there are some great ways of playing premium titles for free, too. Once again, there's a nice Apple freebie available if you've snagged one of the company's gadgets recently. Advertisement If you've bought a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac, it comes with three free months of Apple Arcade (and up to six family members can access it). Apple Arcade is a special subscription service (normally £6.99 a month) that gets you access to more than 200 games. These are all free from ads, don't have any hidden fees or micro-transactions, and can't be found for free elsewhere. Just set up your device and then tap the Apple Arcade app within the first three months to claim your trial period. Next up, there's a nice perk for anyone with an Amazon Prime subscription. Advertisement Amazon operates a special "cloud gaming" service called Luna. It's a bit like Netflix, but for video games. 14 Amazon Luna lets you stream console-quality games over the internet – and you don't even need a console Credit: Amazon So instead of needing a console, you can just play the games over the internet. Normally this would require paying for an £8.99-a-month subscription to Amazon Luna+. But if you have a Prime subscription, you can play a rolling selection of games for free. These are console-quality games. Advertisement One of them is Fortnite, a shooter game that's one of the most popular titles in the world. AMAZON LUNA – CAN YOU PLAY? Here's what you need to know... Amazon says that you need a minimum internet speed of 10Mbps. Advertisement Amazon also hosts a cloud storage service that offers up 5GB of free storage. But if you have Amazon Prime, you can bag unlimited storage for photos. That's a pretty generous offer, so consider taking advantage of it for backing up your pics. 14 Google also offers up free cloud storage for your files Credit: Google Microsoft's OneDrive also offers 5GB of free storage with a Microsoft account, and Dropbox Basic gives you 2GB of no-cost storage.

Lauren Goodger proudly shows off outrageous surgery transformation in thong swimsuit after revealing plans to reverse BBL and breast implants

proudly showed off her shocking surgery transformation in a black thong swimsuit as she posed poolside on holiday in Portugal last week. The TOWIE star, 38, has previously revealed her plans to reverse her Brazilian bum lift and breast implants after hating the size of them. Lauren displayed her curves in the barely-there swimwear as she posed in all angles while enjoying a relaxing day at the pool. In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail in March, she shared: 'I was terrified [of getting it done] which is what I'm working on, I'm working on that. 'I've delayed it for a year now. I was meant to get the implants out and I want them out because that will transform me. 'It's not even about my weight, it's more my boobs and bum. If I could get rid of them I'd feel and look so much better.' She added: 'I've got such a big bum and ginormous boobs, that I look so much bigger than I am because If you catch me at an angle I can look a lot bigger and if they were gone I'd look much more in proportion. 'So I don't really think it is all together my weight, it's more because I need to get rid of the surgically enhanced assets which is my bum and boobs. 'Lets hope I can do it this year because I will feel so much more comfortable.' Lauren also admitted to The Sun that the surgery she has undergone has left her thinking her body looks 'abnormal'. She said she thinks her 'massive boobs and bum' have made her look bigger than she actually is and shared her plans to look like her old self again. Lauren said: 'I've ruined my looks with surgery - I hate my fake boobs and bum now. I feel like my body looks abnormal - I don't need these massive boobs and massive bum. She added: 'When I look at myself naked in the mirror, all I see is lumps and bumps everywhere.' In May, Lauren revealed she is having her 'heavy' breast implants removed and can't wait to go back to a 'natural look'. Lauren took a plunge in the water to cool off The reality star put her bottom on display in the thong one-piece She admitted her breasts were 'perfect' before although now they simply 'make her look big' while opening up about her breast-reduction journey on Instagram. The reality star shared on her Instagram page a snap posing in a sheer dusty pink baby doll, showing off her very ample assets. She wrote in the lengthy caption: '11 years ago I had a breast augmentation, one of the things I regret later in life. 'I had the perfect boobs .. they have been great over the years but since being a mum and breastfeeding for 1 year they have now changed and I've always found they make me look bigger! 'Also they are heavy and I don't like the idea of an implant being in me all these years and I miss my old boobs so much.. so after looking around I've found someone that I feel really keen with having my consultation with @marksolomos. 'This is a HUGE step for me I've wanted to have them removed for so long but suffering with serve anxiety surgery is the last thing I can do ! Lauren finished: 'So it's early stages but I am bringing you a long with me! 'I'm terrified but also for health reasons I'm having implants removed and bring back more to my normal self wanting to reverse everything back to natural.' Lauren's inner circle are reportedly concerned about her growing closeness with her ex Charles Drury as they fear she is 'planning a future with him. The reality star appeared to have gotten back with Charles earlier this year after spending time together at the zoo, three years after Charles was accused of attacking Lauren on the day of their daughter Loren's funeral shortly before their split. Charles was then charged with assault and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards Lauren, which he has denied. Lauren shares daughter Larose, four, with Charles and tragically lost their second daughter in 2022 after she was stillborn due to complications with her umbilical cord. The pair recently enjoyed a spa break, fueling rumours they've reconciled - though Lauren has yet to confirm the romance publicly. According to The Sun, Lauren's pals have 'serious reservations' about the reunion - despite her reportedly believing there's still a future with Charles. MailOnline contacted Lauren and her representative for comment at the time.

'I tried Rodial's cult £45 setting powder with a 5,000 person waitlist'

Shopping writer Lauren finally got her hands on Rodial's sell-out beauty product - here's her verdict I'm a sucker for a viral beauty product, from Laneige's cult Lip Sleeping Mask to Color Wow's Dream Coat Supernatural Spray. So when I heard that Rodial's Glass Powder - which has sold out six times and reportedly flies off shelves at a rate of three units per minute - was finally back in stock, I knew I had to see what all the fuss was about. The ultra-fine finishing powder has been popular in the beauty world for its ability to blur pores, reduce shine, and leave behind a soft-focus, almost airbrushed finish. It racked up a 5,000-person waiting list, and fans say it gives skin that elusive 'glass skin' glow without any shimmer or cakiness. On the powder, Rodial founder Maria Hatzistefanis said: "When we created Glass Powder, our goal was to deliver instant, flawless skin with zero compromise, and the overwhelming response shows we have done just that." At £45, it's more of a splurge than a casual add-to-basket buy. But with hype this strong and a track record of selling out fast, I was intrigued. When I put the powder to the test, would it live up to its reputation? Let's find out below. My honest review of Rodial's Glass Powder The Glass Powder comes in a sleek little 18g pot, which was smaller than I expected but entirely my own doing. Note to self: always check the measurements before hitting checkout. Packaging-wise, it features a sifter top with tiny holes designed to stop the powder from spilling everywhere. It's smart in theory, but in practice, I struggled to get much of the product out. I had to close the pot and tap it firmly against my desk to coax a little powder to the surface. While I appreciated that it didn't make a mess - unlike my go-to Morphe Bake & Set Setting Powder (£12.75), which has a habit of puffing out in clouds, it was mildly frustrating to work with. Once I had enough, the application was thankfully straightforward. I used a medium-sized brush and gently swept it across my face, focusing on my T-zone and around my nose, which are oilier areas on my face. The results were instant. My pores looked blurred, my skin tone more even, and the finish was natural, not too matte and not too overly dewy. It felt lightweight, didn't cling to any dry patches and gave me a soft, filtered glow. For those who love the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (£30.80), Rodial's version has a similar blurring effect with a slightly more luminous finish. It's less mattifying, but in a good way, making my skin look alive and vibrant rather than flat. As for longevity, it didn't quite hold up during a humid London walk (to be fair, few products do), but for a regular day indoors or out and about, it performed well. I did need to blot my face a couple of times, but overall, it kept my skin looking smooth and fresh for hours. It's also compact enough to pop into my handbag, which is ideal for touch-ups on the go. Plus, I love that it's a universal shade, working whether I'm rocking my natural pale look or wearing fake tan. It means there's no need to buy two separate pots. So, while the packaging could be improved, the actual formula impressed me. It's lightweight, pore-blurring and shine-reducing without flattening the skin, and I can see why it's a best-seller. It's available to shop via Rodial here - but shoppers should be quick if they're tempted, as it's likely to sell out again soon.
