'This Trinny London launch let me down and then won me over'
All my fellow beauty girlies will know the joys of Trinny London, the eponymous brand from makeover queen Trinny Woodall. Known for its clever, stackable pots and ultra-wearable formulas, Trinny London has carved out a loyal following for products that are equal parts practical and glow-inducing.
I've been lucky enough to try a fair few of the brand's cult favourites over the years (for the record, Lash2Brow is my holy grail), so when I heard about the launch of its newest product, Miracle Halo, I was excited to give it a go. The latest drop is a radiance-boosting illuminator designed to provide skin that lit-from-within glow, wearable on its own or easily mixed in with moisturiser and foundation.
Now that summer is in full swing, I avoid foundation as it doesn't hold up when the heat hits. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to sacrifice a flawless complexion, so I'm hoping Miracle Halo could be the lightweight alternative I've been searching for.

My honest review of Trinny London's Miracle Halo
Miracle Halo comes in Trinny London's signature sleek silver packaging, giving it a luxe feel that far exceeds its £32 price tag. It looks good sitting on my vanity, which is always a plus.
There are four shades available: Starlight, Candlelight, Sunlight, and Firelight. I opted for the latter, a gentle neutral bronze. Since I regularly wear fake tan, I figured it would give me that post-holiday glow.

However, I'll admit that things didn't get off to the best start. The pump, unfortunately, is a bit of a menace. I was hoping for a controlled dose, but instead, one press dispensed way too much product - more than I'll ever need in one go - which was a massive waste.
I worried I was being too heavy-handed, so I tried again when I needed a subtle highlight to accentuate my cheekbones, but the same thing happened. It's definitely a product where less is more, and the pump didn't seem to have received the memo.
For those who prefer to avoid pump mishaps, I recommend Fenty Beauty's Liquid Killawatt Fluid Freestyle Highlighter (£26). It comes in a squeezable tube, making it a much better option for controlled use. Otherwise, a powder highlighter, such as MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Highlighter (£34), is a good alternative.
I also had a moment of panic that Firelight was too dark for my skin tone, even with my tan. But, as with many things in beauty, first impressions can be deceiving.
I decided to mix a couple of small dabs of Miracle Halo into my favourite Laneige moisturiser, and this is where things turned around. The product blended beautifully into my skin; it's incredibly lightweight, to the point where I couldn't even feel it on my face. That's exactly what I want during the warmer months when foundation can feel like a sweat-fest.
The glow it gives is subtle but effective - more of a healthy, sun-kissed boost than a noticeable shimmer, which makes it ideal for no-makeup makeup days. After layering on my usual bronzer, blush and concealer, everything sat perfectly on top. Miracle Halo acted like a glowing base, pulling everything together and giving my skin that elusive 'well-rested look' I'm always chasing.
To finish, I applied a little more highlight to my cheekbones, and it made them pop, giving them a glowy, dewy look. I looked radiant and put-together, without the heavy feel of a full face.
A little really does go a long way with this product, so despite the pump situation, this tube will last me all summer (and then some). Though I'll definitely need to figure out a way to control the pump so I'm not wasting precious drops of glow each time.
Despite the rocky start, Miracle Halo has firmly earned a spot in my summer lineup. If you're after an easy, breathable glow without the weight of foundation, this one's well worth a try.

Send an emoji – it can be anything, like a heart or football – and then tap it. It'll take you through to a secret paddle game where you have to keep a ball aloft by scrolling left and right. There's a rolling library that Amazon (which owns Audible) updates, and you don't need to have a membership to claim them. If you have a Premium membership, you get 15 hours of audiobook listening time every single month. FREE PHONE STORAGE Always running out of phone storage? Often the advice is to back up your media to the cloud – but that fills up pretty quickly too. Advertisement Thankfully there are some ways to get free cloud storage. For a start, Apple offers 5GB of cloud storage for free through iCloud. You'll have to pay for extra – but it's at least something. 14 iCloud comes with 5GB of storage for free Credit: Apple Then every Google account comes with 15GB of free storage. You'll be able to use that in Google Drive or Google Photos (but it also pulls from Gmail). So if you want to just store photos and videos, consider setting up a second free Google account to put those there – and keep the storage on your main account for emails. The TOWIE star, 38, has previously revealed her plans to reverse her Brazilian bum lift and breast implants after hating the size of them. Lauren displayed her curves in the barely-there swimwear as she posed in all angles while enjoying a relaxing day at the pool. In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail in March, she shared: 'I was terrified [of getting it done] which is what I'm working on, I'm working on that. 'I've delayed it for a year now. I was meant to get the implants out and I want them out because that will transform me. 'It's not even about my weight, it's more my boobs and bum. If I could get rid of them I'd feel and look so much better.' She added: 'I've got such a big bum and ginormous boobs, that I look so much bigger than I am because If you catch me at an angle I can look a lot bigger and if they were gone I'd look much more in proportion. 'So I don't really think it is all together my weight, it's more because I need to get rid of the surgically enhanced assets which is my bum and boobs. 'Lets hope I can do it this year because I will feel so much more comfortable.' Lauren also admitted to The Sun that the surgery she has undergone has left her thinking her body looks 'abnormal'. She said she thinks her 'massive boobs and bum' have made her look bigger than she actually is and shared her plans to look like her old self again. 'I tried Rodial's cult £45 setting powder with a 5,000 person waitlist'
Shopping writer Lauren finally got her hands on Rodial's sell-out beauty product - here's her verdict I'm a sucker for a viral beauty product, from Laneige's cult Lip Sleeping Mask to Color Wow's Dream Coat Supernatural Spray. So when I heard that Rodial's Glass Powder - which has sold out six times and reportedly flies off shelves at a rate of three units per minute - was finally back in stock, I knew I had to see what all the fuss was about. The ultra-fine finishing powder has been popular in the beauty world for its ability to blur pores, reduce shine, and leave behind a soft-focus, almost airbrushed finish. It racked up a 5,000-person waiting list, and fans say it gives skin that elusive 'glass skin' glow without any shimmer or cakiness. On the powder, Rodial founder Maria Hatzistefanis said: "When we created Glass Powder, our goal was to deliver instant, flawless skin with zero compromise, and the overwhelming response shows we have done just that." At £45, it's more of a splurge than a casual add-to-basket buy. But with hype this strong and a track record of selling out fast, I was intrigued. When I put the powder to the test, would it live up to its reputation? Let's find out below. My honest review of Rodial's Glass Powder The Glass Powder comes in a sleek little 18g pot, which was smaller than I expected but entirely my own doing. Note to self: always check the measurements before hitting checkout. Packaging-wise, it features a sifter top with tiny holes designed to stop the powder from spilling everywhere. It's smart in theory, but in practice, I struggled to get much of the product out. I had to close the pot and tap it firmly against my desk to coax a little powder to the surface. While I appreciated that it didn't make a mess - unlike my go-to Morphe Bake & Set Setting Powder (£12.75), which has a habit of puffing out in clouds, it was mildly frustrating to work with. Once I had enough, the application was thankfully straightforward. I used a medium-sized brush and gently swept it across my face, focusing on my T-zone and around my nose, which are oilier areas on my face. The results were instant. My pores looked blurred, my skin tone more even, and the finish was natural, not too matte and not too overly dewy. It felt lightweight, didn't cling to any dry patches and gave me a soft, filtered glow. For those who love the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (£30.80), Rodial's version has a similar blurring effect with a slightly more luminous finish. It's less mattifying, but in a good way, making my skin look alive and vibrant rather than flat. As for longevity, it didn't quite hold up during a humid London walk (to be fair, few products do), but for a regular day indoors or out and about, it performed well. I did need to blot my face a couple of times, but overall, it kept my skin looking smooth and fresh for hours. It's also compact enough to pop into my handbag, which is ideal for touch-ups on the go. Plus, I love that it's a universal shade, working whether I'm rocking my natural pale look or wearing fake tan. It means there's no need to buy two separate pots. So, while the packaging could be improved, the actual formula impressed me. It's lightweight, pore-blurring and shine-reducing without flattening the skin, and I can see why it's a best-seller.
