Afropop sensation Mthunzi is set to bring his soulful vocals and infectious energy to the Sunday Loving experience at Lumo Lounge & Living in Ruimsig, Roodepoort, on Sunday.
Best known for his collaboration with Kabza De Small on the chart-topping EP Isimo, Njabulo 'Mthunzi' Ndimande has carved out a space as one of the most compelling voices in the South African music scene. The project raked in more than 40-million streams across digital platforms, with the standout hit Imithandazo becoming a global fan favourite.
In an interview, Mthunzi reflected on his musical journey and how his passion was sparked at an early age. 'I started singing when I was just three years old. My mom noticed my love for music early on and has supported me ever since,' said the artist, who hails from Hammarsdale in KwaZulu-Natal.
The Sunday Loving event promises fans an intimate night of live music and vibes. Organisers say Mthunzi's performance will be a key highlight.
Lucky Mpilo of Lumo Lounge told TshisaLIVE: 'We are excited to have a mega artist such as Mthunzi in our establishment. His fans are in for a treat. It's going to be the best Sunday for our patrons.'
With his blend of heartfelt lyrics and genre-blurring sound, Mthunzi's set is expected to be nothing short of magical.

Wimpy's South African rhino-tigers and the meaning of 'just now'

Wimpy has launched its proudly South African Two Tiger Deals – a deliciously local campaign where R19.90 (or 'two tiger' in SA slang) unlocks a variety of delicious, feel-good menu items. From half waffles with ice cream, filter coffee, soda floats, shakes, and more – all for just Two Tiger . To bring this celebration of local flavour, language, and lekker vibes to life, Wimpy partnered with viral duo Judy and Addi of Logan Fam, fame – known for their hilarious cross-cultural commentary and infectious family dynamic. In their latest video, shot at Mall of Africa, the couple dives headfirst into the quirks of South African lingo: Cathy Qama, Marketing Manager Wimpy says, ' At its heart, the Two Tiger Deals campaign is a love letter to South African charm – our sayings, the family moments, the shared meals, and the way we turn something as simple as R19.90 into an experience worth remembering, at a place where everyone's welcome. The branded content piece is a heartwarming exploration of Mzansi-isms – from 'serviette vs napkin' to the mysterious meaning of 'just now,' all wrapped around a table of joy. As the family tucks into their Two Tiger spoils, the film bursts with flavour, love, and local pride. The classic 'chips vs fries' debate gets rehashed, and Addi tries (and fails) to say 'tomato sauce' with a Joburg accent. Qama concludes, 'Two Tiger Deals aren't just about value, they're about celebrating the way South Africans speak, share, and enjoy time together. These are small, joyful moments – just like our menu deals.' Available Two Tiger Deals (R19.90 each): Half waffle & ice cream Short filter coffee Small classic shake Small soda float Ice cream delight

Afro-pop singer AllOver I reveals musical inspirations and his new project

Afro-pop sensation Mxolisi Ngcobo, better known by his stage name AllOver I, is making waves in the local music scene with his heartfelt and socially conscious sound. The rising star recently opened up about the musical influences that shaped his journey and the powerful message behind his latest project. Speaking to TshisaLIVE, AllOver I revealed that his passion for music was sparked by international hip-hop icon 50 Cent. 'Growing up, 50 Cent's resilience and his come-up story spoke to me. His confidence and how he turned his pain into power inspired me to do the same with my story,' he said. On the home front, he draws influence from kwaito legend Zola 7, who is widely celebrated for using music as a tool for empowerment and storytelling. 'Zola 7 was that voice for the voiceless. He made us believe that no matter where you come from, your story matters. That stayed with me.' AllOver I's latest project Ukubona Abantu Abacindezelwa explores the struggles faced by everyday South Africans. The title, which loosely translates to 'seeing the oppressed people,' reflects a core theme of resilience and hope. 'The inspiration came from seeing people who are constantly beaten down by life — by poverty, by unemployment, by personal loss — but somehow they rise. Bouncing back, sophumelela as if akaze kwabheda (they succeed as if things were never bad),' he said. Blending smooth Afro-pop melodies with lyrical depth, AllOver I hopes his music will uplift listeners and spark conversations about healing and survival. 'This is for the people who keep going even when life doesn't make it easy. I want them to know I see them, and they're not alone.' With an ever-growing fan base and authentic storytelling at the heart of his music, AllOver I is a name to watch in the Afro-pop landscape.
