Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up rumours so far including X Factor icon and Olympic legend
Strictly Come Dancing season is nearly upon us, with rumours swirling over which names will be revealed as part of the 2025 line-up.
Though the beloved BBC programme has been swept up in scandals over recent years, with Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima stepping back as professionals and Wynne Evans being axed from the live tour the following year, fans are patiently waiting for the competition to return to screens.
The professional dancer line-up has already been confirmed, with reigning champion Dianne Buswell (who made history and won the glitterball trophy with Chris McCausland last year) joining the likes of Amy Dowden, Nikita Kuzmin, Katya Jones and Gorka Marquez.
The BBC has yet to announce any of the stars taking part but which celebrities are rumoured to be joining?
Stacey Solomon
(Image: PA)
Former Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon is believed to have caught the eye of Strictly Come Dancing bosses.
'Stacey is a hit with viewers thanks to her lovable personality. The BBC always want to showcase their own talent on Strictly, and Stacey's show has already bagged them an NTA,' a source told The Sun.
'Fans will also love watching her husband Joe Swash in the audience cheering her on every week.'
The X Factor legend previously said she would 'never say never' to Strictly but admitted she's a 'terrible dancer'.
'I'd be one of those people who would go out in week 1, and they'd be like, 'Well, that was a waste of time!'' she quipped.
Angellica Bell
(Image: 2025)
Former Celebrity Big Brother star Angellica Bell's name has recently joined the rumours surrounding the Strictly 2025 cast.
The star was reportedly dumped from The Martin Lewis Money Show in 2023 but is said to be ready for a new opportunity.
'Angellica has been very vocal about her desire to be on Strictly,' a source told The Sun.
'Her confidence was massively knocked by the whole Martin Lewis drama but she's had a new lease of life since doing Celebrity Big Brother.
'She wants to grab every opportunity and has no qualms about making known what she wants.
'She's hugely energetic and will throw herself into training. Strictly bosses think she'll be a great fit.'
Dani Dyer

Love Island winner and daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, Dani Dyer is said to be taking part this year.
Following a fairytale wedding to footballer Jarrod Bowen, it's bound to be a busy year for the mum-of-three.
A source told The Sun: 'Bosses are thrilled she's agreed to take part and are ironing out her fee.
'She's bubbly, down-to-earth and straight-talking and producers reckon she'll make an ideal contestant – not to mention the bonus of having Jarrod and dad Danny in the audience supporting her.'
Tom Parker Bowles
(Image: David M. Benett/for Fortnum & Mason)
Queen Camilla's son Tom Parker Bowles is reportedly at the top of Strictly bosses' wishlists.
The 50-year-old is a food critic writer who is no stranger to telly, having appeared on MasterChef, Market Kitchen and ITV's Food Glorious Food.
An insider told The Mirror: 'Top of their wishlist is MasterChef star Tom. His name was also sounded out last year but never materialised. Bosses hope they'll have better luck this year.
'It would be a coup to sign someone with such a strong royal link. Maybe we could see Camilla and Charles in the audience?'
Ashley Cain
(Image:)
Former Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain is also rumoured to star on Strictly this year.
'He's a proper character with a very interesting background that looks the part,' one source told The Mirror.
'He would be a great addition to the Strictly lineup. He's presented a couple of shows and has really impressed.'
The reality star has previously said he would love to take part in Strictly as a tribute to his late daughter Azaylia, who died at just eight months old in 2021 after suffering from leukaemia.
Ashley previously told The Sun that he used to dance 'for hours and hours' while holding Azaylia in the hospital and would love to do a Lion King-themed dance in her honour.
Sir Mo Farah
(Image: Adam Davy - Pool/Getty images)
One of the first names who entered the line-up rumours has been Sir Mo Farah, with sources claiming talks were at an 'early stage' last month.
In a bid to return Strictly to its pre-scandal glory days, an insider claimed the 'national treasure' would be popular with viewers.
They told The Sun: 'His personality would provide the perfect tonic to the toxicity that's overshadowed Strictly.
"Bosses would love to sign him up but the talks are at a very early stage.'
Paul C Brunson
(Image: Channel 4)
Married At First Sight expert and podcast host Paul C Brunson's name has also been thrown into the list.
After appearances on Celebs Go Dating and alongside Amanda Holden on Netflix's Cheat: Unfinished Business, it's been claimed he could be heading to the ballroom.
A source said: 'Paul would be the ideal tonic to the dark clouds over Strictly as he's clean-cut, very intelligent and has no scandals to worry about.'
They added to The Sun that he'd been involved in chats with producers, saying: 'Everyone is hoping he'll sign on the dotted line and is keen to make it happen.'
Gladiators' Nitro
(Image: BBC Studios/Guy Levy)
Hot on the heels of fellow Gladiator Fire, who was partnered with Johannes Radebe on Strictly last year, it's been claimed Nitro has 'signed up'.
The ex-Olympic sprinter, whose real name is Harry Aikines Aryeetey, already stunned fans by appearing in the Christmas special.
A source has now said: 'Bosses have been desperate to get Nitro on the series for a while.
"They were in talks last year but couldn't get the timings to marry up with his work.
'He was a huge hit at Christmas prancing around in lycra and showing off his biceps.'
They added to The Sun: 'The Gladiators' fanbase is growing, and kids love them, so he'll be a hit with younger viewers, too.'
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.

Vicky Pattison 'set to join Strictly Come Dancing line-up after wowing bosses'
Vicky Pattison has reportedly been offered a spot on this year's Strictly Come Dancing. The reality TV star, 37, is said to have caught the attention of producers when she cheered on pal Pete Wicks from the audience during last year's series - and now bosses are keen to bring her centre stage. A source told The Sun: 'Vicky loved watching Pete on the series and was in awe of the detail that goes into every performance. 'She has great energy and will no doubt be a hit with the viewers. 'Vicky's done plenty of reality shows but is ready to be out of her comfort zone on the dance floor.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for Strictly Come Dancing and Vicky for comment. The Geordie lass rose to fame in 2011 on MTV's Geordie Shore, becoming known for her wild nights out and on-screen flings. But Vicky turned things around and went on to be crowned I'm A Celebrity's Queen of the Jungle in 2015, a moment she's since called the 'best thing' she's ever done. Last year, the Newcastle-born star revealed that wouldn't say no to Strictly, but admitted dancing wasn't her strong suit. She told the publication: 'When I found out Pete was doing it, I called him straight away to check he was alright. 'Because me and him are more 'stand in the corner, drink and have a laugh' than the 'centre of the dance floor' people.' She added that as she's got older, she knows she should be pushing herself out of her comfort zone. The rumour comes after Strictly bosses announced the professional lineup for this year's show and revealed there will be two brand new dancers joining. Dianne Buswell, who lifted the glitter ball in December with Chris McCausland, will be joining Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal in returning to the dance floor this September. They will be joined by Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Nancy Xu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola who will all take to the floor once more alongside two new stars, who will be announced closer to the time. Amy Dowden, who pulled out in the opening weeks of last year's show due to a foot injury, will also be back on Strictly for 2025, as will Carlos Gu and Kai Widdrington, who didn't have a celebrity partner last year. Despite rumours that he might be making a return after missing out on last year's series, Giovanni Pernice will not be heading back to the ballroom this time around. Sarah James, Executive Producer, BBC Studios said : 'The excitement is already building ahead of the new series and in addition to welcoming back our fantastic returning Pros, we are looking forward to welcoming two brand new Professional Dancers to the line up who will help bring another unforgettable series of dazzling dance and loads more besides to viewers later in 2025.' As well as the pros taking part in the competition itself, all of them will be taking to the floor each week in group routines. MailOnline previously revealed that Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen will return to the BBC show this year. It was rumoured that the programme's longest-serving dancer was axed by bosses, sparking an 'ageism' row among the cast but it has been confirmed that the star, 42, will be back as normal when the series returns in September. Karen, who joined the lineup in 2012, is yet to win the glitter ball trophy but has reached several finals including with celebrity partners Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing and former TOWIE star Mark Wright. Last year, Karen was partnered with former footballer Paul Merson, 57, but the pair were eliminated in week five and the previous season the dancer performed with DJ Eddie Kadi. A TV source told MailOnline: 'Karen is a well loved and respected member of the Strictly cast and there's no way she would be axed, especially not because of her age. 'She has dedicated years to the programme and can't wait to get back in the training room with a new partner in the next coming months.' Following speculation surrounding whether she would axed from the long running series due to being in her 40s, Karen spoke about not being 'threatened' by younger competitors. Indeed, she said performing alongside new joiners makes her feel empowered and she is 'inspired' by the younger generation.
