A major road was closed in both directions after a serious collision, police said.Northamptonshire Police was called to the incident on the A14's eastbound carriageway, between the junction for the M1 and junction one near Welford, at about 09:00 BST.Drivers on the A14 eastbound carriageway were unable to access the M1 southbound and the M6 at the Catthorpe interchange.Traffic on the westbound carriageway was also stopped.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it attended and both emergency services asked motorists to find alternative routes.
