2026 Toyota Corolla Cross price, spec details leaked
Key details of the updated 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross lineup, including pricing, has been leaked online.
A dealer bulletin shared on the Toyota Corolla Cross Owners Australia group on Facebook reveals the entire lineup will receive a $960 price hike, while also detailing some of the spec changes coming to the small crossover SUV.
Toyota has previously confirmed a local launch for the upgraded small SUV in the second half of 2025. We've contacted the company for an update.
Per the bulletin, the Corolla Cross will arrive at dealerships in late July in both GX and Atmos trims, with the GXL and new GR-S trim (pictured below) arriving in early October.

The bulletin mentions 'production delays due to pending certification' for the GXL and GR-S, which were originally set to arrive alongside the rest of the range.
The updated lineup will open at $37,440 before on-road costs for the base front-wheel drive GX, and top out at $50,990 before on-roads for both the all-wheel drive Atmos and GR-S.
All variants get HF01234YF refrigerant for their air-conditioning systems and an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) to alert passersby to the hybrid SUV's presence.
The front and rear Parking Support Brake function, which applies the brakes if it detects an object or vehicle and which was previously exclusive to the Atmos, is being rolled out to the GX and GXL. Supplied Credit: CarExpert
The GXL also picks up the following features from the Atmos: Rain-sensing wipers
Surround-view camera
Snow drive mode (all-wheel drive model only)
Wireless phone charger
Heated front seats
The Atmos gains ventilated front seats.
There's also updated centre console trim for the GX, GXL and Atmos. Supplied Credit: CarExpert
The new GR-S (or GR Sport) variant revealed in May features unique front and rear bumpers, as well as lower sports suspension, retuned steering, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels.
Ever since petrol-powered variants were dropped locally in 2024, all Australian-market Corolla Cross vehicles come with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid powertrain delivering 146kW of total system power.
The wider range receives refreshed exterior styling including new LED headlight internals for the GXL and Atmos.
Toyota may be the best-selling car brand in Australia by a country mile, but the Corolla Cross was only the seventh best-selling vehicle in its segment last year, behind the MG ZS, Hyundai Kona, GWM Haval Jolion, Mazda CX-30, Mitsubishi ASX and Subaru Crosstrek. Supplied Credit: CarExpert

Greenvale family home sold to first-home buyers at auction
A young Greenvale family has sold their first home under the hammer for $850,000, handing it over to a pair of first-home buyers after nine years of ownership. Sellers Ryan and Michelle Sacco bought 32 Ventura Way as first-home buyers and raised two children in the house, which features a contemporary design, open-plan living and a low-maintenance backyard. 'Honestly, it was just the design of the house,' Mr Sacco said. Tragic side of Aus housing crisis exposed 'It had a really modern, smart layout that just worked, the moment we saw it, we could picture ourselves living here.' The home became the heart of their family life, with the lounge room a particular favourite. 'That was our go-to space — open, bright, and perfect for spending time together as a family,' he said. 'It's been perfect. We raised both our kids here, everything about the house just suited our needs as a young family.' 'One memory that stands out the most is probably just the kids playing in their bedrooms when they were little. Those early years, hearing them laugh and run around, that sticks with you.' The couple said the sale marked a 'bittersweet' moment as they prepare to upsize. 'It's our first family home, and that's always going to be special,' Mr Sacco said. 'But mostly, we're just happy. Happy we had the chance to enjoy it, and now someone else will too.' The successful buyers, Olga and Guiseppe, were attending their first auction after recently securing permanent residency in Australia. Olga is originally from Russia and Guiseppe from Italy. 'It was our first auction and our last auction,' Olga said. 'We are shocked and very excited. 'We saw so many people at the auction and everyone was bidding, so we thought we might be in trouble, but it worked out very well for us.' Ray White Gladstone Park director and auctioneer Malek Younan said the home attracted 61 buyer groups over a shortened three-week campaign, with five active bidders on auction day. 'Bidding opened at $700,000 and it came down to two bidders fighting it out at the end,' Mr Younan said. 'The winning bid went to a lovely couple of first home buyers.' Mr Younan said the home's single-level layout and quality finishes appealed to a broad range of buyers. 'It was especially attractive to first-home buyers and downsizers looking for low-maintenance living close to transport, parklands, and still with space to entertain,' he said. The Ray White Gladstone director added that confidence had returned to Melbourne's outer north. 'Sydney and Queensland had their run, now it's Melbourne's time to shine again,' he said. 'We're overdue for a rebound, and Greenvale is leading the charge.'

Public transport fares are set to increase on public transport in Sydney
Public transport users in Sydney will soon fork out more for their trips as Opal fares are set to increase. From July 14 most fares will be adjusted in line with the annual consumer price index movement. This means an average increase of 2.5 per cent across Opal fares and single trip tickets. Adult customers will have a new daily travel cap of $19.30 between Monday and Thursday, and $9.65 between Friday and Sunday, and on public holidays. That is an increase of 60c on weekday travel and 30c on weekends. The cap for children and concession card holders will jump to a daily weekday cap of $9.65, while the weekend and public holiday cap will hop up to $4.80. That increase is 30c on weekdays and 15c on weekends. Airport travellers will also face an increase, with the station access fee increasing from $17.34 to $17.92 for adults — a 58c increase — and from $15.50 to $16.03 for kids, seniors and concession card holders — a 53c increase. The weekly airport travel cap of $35.16 for adults and $31.51 for kids and concession card holders will increase to$36.36 and $32.58 respectively. Weekly travel caps on the network will remained capped at $50 for adults and $25 for children and concession card holders, while seniors and pensioners with a Gold Opal card will still be charged no more than $2.50 a day. Transport for NSW Secretary Josh Murray said the fare increases were necessary to help recover the cost of running the network. 'We've leveraged the discounts available to us to protect the hip pockets of those most reliant on our public transport system,' Mr Murray said. 'We've done our best to minimise the impact on passengers and the 14 July changes will see average weekly adult travel costs go up by an average of $0.50, and less than $1 for 99 per cent of passengers' Mr Murray said.
