Wrexham actor Harrison Tipping to star in Off-Broadway show

After attending the Delta Academy in Wrexham's Caia Park at nine-years-old where he first recognised his acting talent, Harrison decided to move to the US to turn his dreams into a reality.
At 18, he moved abroad and attended the world-famous Stella Adler Studios in New York where Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro trained. Harrison graduated in 2022 and has worked professionally in film and theatre ever since.
He received great praise for his debut feature in US film 'Protocol 7', in which he starred in as a lead role opposite Eric Roberts and British actor Mathew Marsden.
Now 25 years old, another milestone moment was achieved for Harrison this week when it was confirmed that he would be playing one of the lead roles in an Off-Broadway production in New York.
Off-Broadway is known for innovative and experimental shows, including original plays and musicals.
Harrison is set to play 'Young Bobby' in The Honey Trap, which is set in 1979 Belfast.
Written by Leo McGann and directed by Matt Torney, the play focuses on the troubles in Ireland and gives a very exciting and layered perspective.
Looking forward to the new adventure, Harrison said: "It's so special for me to be performing Off-Broadway with such a reputable company. My Family are going to come out and see it too which makes it all the more exciting."

Harrison also reflected on his time learning his craft back home in Wrexham.
He said: "I can't help but reflect on performing at the William Aston Hall every Christmas and summer when I was younger to now be performing in NYC as a lead role.
"Having had Ryan Reynolds' support earlier this year to now landing this role feels like a full circle moment for me and I'm filled with gratitude and appreciation for all those who support me - I have so much love and support from all my family and friends.
"I'd like to give a shout out also to my niece Beatrice, my brother's first baby, who is only 6 months!"
The cast of The Honey Trap will include the likes of; Doireann MacMahon, Daniel Marconi, Samantha Mathis, Molly Ranson and Annabelle Zasowski.

Andi Oliver is also a British chef and presenter who has starred in a number of shows over her successful career, including Great British Menu, where she is a judge. She is also a radio presenter and former singer who has authored the book The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table.
