
ALSAYER celebrates the successful conclusion of the GR Yaris Cup Kuwait Season 2
KUWAIT CITY, May 21: Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L proudly announces the successful conclusion of the second season of the GR Yaris Cup Kuwait, a groundbreaking sporting event that has significantly advanced motorsport in the region. Launched in 2023 as the Middle East's first FIA-certified racing series dedicated to the iconic Toyota GR Yaris.
This season marked a notable milestone featuring the first-ever GR Yaris Regional Cup between Kuwait and Qatar, in cooperation with Al Abdulghani Motors. The Kuwaiti team clinched the inaugural Gulf Championship title amidst fierce competition, highlighting Kuwait's rising prominence in regional motorsports.
GR Yaris Cup Kuwait, organized by ALSAYER, reaffirmed Toyota's dedication to inspiring motorsport excellence in the region, strengthening regional relationships, and engaging local youth through exciting and safe racing initiatives. The passion and enthusiasm continue to drive the growth of motorsport in Kuwait and beyond.

Boursa Kuwait ends higher as Premier Index jumps 2.12 pct
KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Boursa Kuwait concluded Sunday's trading session with notable gains across major indices, despite a slight decline in the main market index. The general index surged by 145.11 points, or 1.75 percent, to settle at 8,438.48 points. Trading activity remained brisk, with 759.1 million shares exchanged through 35,844 cash transactions, amounting to 162.6 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $531.6 million USD). In contrast, the main market index edged down by 5.98 points, or 0.08 percent, closing at 7,245.13 points. A total of 469.1 million shares were traded via 22,647 cash transactions, valued at 60 million dinars (about $196.1 million USD). The Premier Market Index outperformed, climbing 190 points, or 2.12 percent, to 9,153.22 points. This rally was supported by the trade of 290 million shares through 13,197 transactions, worth 102.5 million dinars (roughly $335.1 million USD). Meanwhile, the Major 50 index advanced by 103.39 points, or 1.45 percent, reaching 7,256.36 points. Debtor accounts to be frozen on court order
KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) has stated that, in compliance with Law No. 59/2025 for amending certain provisions of the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law, all Kuwaiti banks are committed to strictly abiding by the law's provisions, particularly regarding the seizure of debtors' balances, to ensure full compliance, and to protect the rights of all parties involved. In a press release, KBA explained that banks receive executive seizure reports on debtors' funds electronically from the Judicial Execution Directorate via its official email. Upon receiving a seizure report, banks freeze the relevant accounts until they receive a lifting report from the Judicial Execution Directorate, based on the specified percentages and instructions. Kuwaiti banks are taking all necessary measures to ensure the proper implementation of the law. Furthermore, KBA affirmed that member banks are fully prepared to receive complaints and suggestions through their official channels and to address them diligently.

Kuwait Club continues Handball Cup dominance
KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Kuwait Club continued its stronghold on local handball by narrowly defeating Al-Qadsia 30-29 in the final of the 57th edition of the Handball Cup at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex in Sabah Al-Salem. In the third-place playoff, Al-Salmiya secured a 34-28 win over Kazma. This latest triumph marks Kuwait Club's 15th Handball Cup title and its 12th consecutive victory in the competition. The win also completes a remarkable league and cup double for the 2024-2025 season, while Kazma claimed the Super Cup. Khaled Al-Ghanim, Chairman of Kuwait Club's Board of Directors, emphasized that the championship was the result of exceptional teamwork and collective effort, which have cemented the club's prominence in the local handball scene.
