Kate Winslet latest star to take on role for King's charity
Winslet joined the King at the charity's awards ceremony in St James's Palace a fortnight ago, where she told him: 'Don't worry, I'll be all in – I've got your back.'
The star said following the announcement: 'One of my passions is exploring ways that we can protect and promote the natural world – something I have in common with His Majesty.'
In a video marking the news, Winslet added that the foundation's work protecting the planet and encouraging young people to learn about the 'beautiful' countryside was 'deeply important' to her.
She said she was looking forward to collaborating with the other ambassadors on how to make a difference.
'I am so thrilled to become an ambassador for The King's Foundation, particularly as the charity celebrates its 35th anniversary this year,' Winslet said.
'The King's Foundation does such fantastic work to prioritise and protect nature and our wonderful planet, in particular championing field to fork farming, as well as getting young people outdoors and learning about our beautiful countryside and how we can all play a part in protecting its future, all things that are deeply important to me and to so many of us.
'And it's been fascinating learning about what the foundation does over these past few months, and I am really looking forward to collaborating with the other ambassadors so we can discuss ways in which we can collectively make a positive difference.'
Other famous names who have signed up as ambassadors include TV stars Sarah Beeny, Patrick Grant, George Clarke and Alan Titchmarsh, musician and presenter Jools Holland and rugby player Maro Itoje.
The King's Foundation, previously known as The Prince's Foundation following an amalgamation of Charles's charities in the year he turned 70, aims to 'advocate for the change His Majesty wants to see in the world'.
It works to train the next generation of young craftspeople in heritage and endangered skills such as millinery, embroidery and woodworking, but also focuses on sustainability, farming and agriculture, health and wellbeing, and architecture and urbanism.

London's V&A Museum, which is behind the new David Bowie Centre, said Rodgers has also selected a bespoke Peter Hall suit worn by Bowie during the Serious Moonlight tour for the Let's Dance album. Photographs of Bowie, Rodgers and guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan recording Let's Dance in New York will also feature. The David Bowie Centre will open within the museum's new East Storehouse in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in Stratford, east London, on September 13, where it will host items including costumes worn during the singer's Ziggy Stardust period. Rodgers said: 'My creative life with David Bowie provided the greatest success of his incredible career, but our friendship was just as rewarding. 'Our bond was built on a love of the music that had both made and saved our lives.' Rodgers produced Bowie's single Let's Dance and the 1983 album of the same name, as well as his 1993 album Black Tie White Noise, with the personal correspondence in the exhibition relating to the latter. Brit Award-winning indie rock band The Last Dinner Party have also curated part of the exhibition, describing Bowie as a 'constant source of inspiration to us'. Their items include Bowie's elaborate handwritten lyrics for his song Win, and notes and set lists for his 1976 Isolar tour. The band said: 'David Bowie continues to inspire generations of artists like us to stand up for ourselves. 'It was such a thrill to explore Bowie's archive, and see first hand the process that went into his world-building and how he created a sense of community and belonging for those that felt like outcasts or alienated – something that's really important to us in our work too.' Access to the David Bowie Centre will be free, with tickets released nearer its opening. The David Bowie archive, which boasts more than 90,000 items, was acquired by the V&A with the help of the David Bowie Estate, the Blavatnik Family Foundation and Warner Music Group. The centre will be spread across three zones, which will include curated displays, audio visual installations and quieter study areas, allowing visitors to view the Bowie archive on their own, from musical instruments to stage models. Small displays will tell the stories behind the singer's albums and also look at his multi-dimensional creative approach, including unrealised projects, collaborations and influences. The East Storehouse opened at the end of May, and features the Order An Object initiative, allowing visitors to pre-book to see an item from its entire collection. The V&A will also open the V&A East Museum in spring 2026, in an area named East Bank. Its main museum is in South Kensington, west London, and it also runs the Young V&A in Bethnal Green, east London.

Frankie Grande, the elder brother of pop sensation and Oscar-nominee Ariana Grande, has released a debut album entitled 'Hotel Rock Bottom'. It is inspired by his sobriety journey and was released in tandem with Pride month. 'I'm eight years sober,' he told ITV News. 'Had I tried to release an album while I was drinking and using, I probably would have never released it, it probably would never have seen the light of day. If it did, god knows what it would have sounded like. I'm grateful that I took my time and waited until my instrument was clean and pure, and I could tell the stories that I wanted to tell.' Frankie, 42, is an American actor, singer, dancer, television host and producer who boasts 1 million Instagram followers and 1.5M TikTok followers. He performed on Broadway as Franz in the musical Rock of Ages (2014–2015) and in Mamma Mia! (2007–2010) and has also starred in regional theatre productions. Bodycare brand loved by Kim K to pay homage to LGBTQ+ community in London event
A luxury cosmetics brand, cherished by Kim Kardashian and other celebs, will return with its annual library event to provide a platform for trans and non-binary authors One of Kim Kardashian's most-trusted bodycare brands has confirmed it will clear its shelves to honour Pride and its many queer icons. The premium brand Aesop has been snapped in several posts uploaded by the fashion mogul, most notably its Reverence Aromatique hand wash pictured in the businesswoman 's bathroom. This £33 hand wash, and its accompanying products, are firm favourites, not just amongst celebs but all Aesop customers. Now, after launching its Queer Library in 2021 to provide a spotlight for LGBTQIA+ authors, Aesop continues to expand its platform into the initiative's fifth year, this year in London. "The Queer Library affirms literature's ability to broaden minds and embolden individuals, and seeks to provide a platform for underrepresented voices," The Australian cosmetics brand explained, before confirming that "This year, the Library celebrates the liberating possibilities of LGBTQIA+ self-expression, with a particular focus on trans and non-binary voices." Trans refers to transgender, when someone feels their gender is different from, or doesn't sit comfortably with, the sex they were registered at birth, while Non-binary is the term for those whose gender identity falls outside of the traditional man/woman label. Trans artist, Tourmaline is the author of this iteration's hero title, with their work focussing on Marsha P. Johnson's struggle for queer rights. Aesop added: "In addition to perusing the shelves, this year visitors will be able to express themselves through an interactive literary card game of sorts, based on the archetypal Aesop fable 'The North Wind and the Sun'—a tale about the value of gentle persuasion over force. "Visitors can draw a selection of cards, each imprinted with a word from the fable—using them as creative prompts, they will have an opportunity to reveal their own take on the story." The library's reading list is curated by independent bookstore and queer institution, Gay's The Word, designed to promote marginalised trans and non-binary voices, along with titles selected by Aesop team members. While some of the reading materials were sourced by the bookstore, many were purchased "at a generous discount from Penguin and a variety of other publishers." The event will coincide with the Pride in London parade, taking place on Saturday. Last year's event saw more than 35,000 people take to the streets to celebrate their identity, accompanied by thumping pop tunes and colourful displays.
