Sidharth Malhotra- Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari Likely to Move to August , Paving the Way for Solo Release of Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar 2
Maddock Films is reportedly postponing the release of *Param Sundari*, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, from July 25 to August 29. The lack of promotional material and a revised teaser hint at the shift. This move potentially allows *Son Of Sardaar 2* a solo release, avoiding competition with other major films already slated for earlier August dates. In what seems like a strategic reshuffle on the release calendar, Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films appears to be quietly moving its upcoming romantic drama Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor , from its original July 25 slot to the end of August. If industry chatter is to be believed, the film is now eyeing an August 29 release. Mohit Suri Spills On 20 Years In Bollywood - Ahaan & Aneet, Alia Bhatt Dream Collab & More The first indication of Param Sundari's postponement surfaced in the first week of June 2025 when Bollywood Hungama exclusively reported that Dinesh Vijan was considering shifting the film's release. As July 25 began to inch closer with no sign of the film's promotions — no new posters, songs, or trailer drops — it became evident that the romantic drama wouldn't meet its original release date. In fact Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri which is slated to release on August 1 has already released its trailer. While an official announcement was awaited, makers of Param Sundari dropped a subtle confirmation just yesterday. Maalik, starring Rajkummar Rao , released in cinemas on July 11, and attached to its theatrical prints were two teasers — one of them being Param Sundari. Interestingly, while the teaser was the same as the one that had been released back in May, there was one key change. The new teaser mentions, 'In cinemas worldwide this August'. August 29 seems to be the only probable date as 1st August already has Dhadak 2 and August 14th has Hrithik Roshan- NTR Jr and Kiara Advani;s War 2 and Rajinikanth's Coolie. Param Sundari's shift would conveniently allow Ajay Devgn 's Son Of Sardaar 2 a solo release on 25th July. An official announcement is expected soon, but as of now, all signs point to Param Sundari lighting up cinemas on August 29.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office Collection Day 1: Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor starrer love flick hit the silver screen on July 11, marking Maheep Kapoor-Sanjay Kapoor daughter's debut on the big screen. The film received cold response at the box office as it kicked off with a slow start. Bollywood's latest love flick featuring Janhvi and Khushi's cousin is adapted from Ruskin Bond's short story The Eyes Have It. The movie, headlined by Vikrant Massey, raked in ₹ 35 lakh net at the domestic box office, according to film industry tracker Sacnilk. Amid dry revenue flow for the movie, the footfall reveals the bigger picture. The movie 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' registered an overall 9.92 percent Hindi occupancy on Friday. The movie released alongside James Gunn's Superman and Rajkummar Rao's Maalik faces stiff competition from other contemporary releases, including Sitaare Zameen , Jurassic World Rebirth, F1 and more. IMDb gave 6-star rating to the movie and stated, 'Explores the romance between two visually impaired characters, navigating both the joys and complexities of modern love.' The romantic drama, backed by Zee Studios, Mini Films and Open Window Films, features 138 minutes run-time and is reportedly produced on a budget of ₹ 20 crore. The movie performed much below the expected estimates given by film trade analyst Sumit Kadel. In a post on X on July 10, Sumit Kadel had said, '#AankhonKiGustaakhiyan is expected to open in the range of ₹ 50-80 lakh nett, which would be a disastrous start." Predicting its business over the weekend, he stated, "Only exceptional word of mouth can help it doing some kind of respectable business over the weekend.' Streaming platform Zee5 acquired the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of the Vikrant Massey-Shanaya Kapoor starrer, according to an OTTPlay report. However, the OTT release date is yet to be finalised.
