His cancelled show comes six months after he was forced to pull out of several upcoming shows after it was revealed he had fallen ill.
Sting was due perform in Parco Ragazzi del '99, a park in Bassano del Grappa, a city in North East Italy, as part of his Sting 3.0 tour.
The performance was due to take place on Sunday, but due to bad weather conditions, the Mayor advised that the event should be postponed.
With weather proving to be an issue, a warning for a severe thunderstorm threw Sting's performance into chaos.

On Sunday, the temperature was 27 degrees but a severe thunderstorm had been predicted for the afternoon.
There was a possibility of "lightning and extremely high winds", which made up the minds of the organisers.
Organisers of the gig were concerned, with heavy thunderstorms still expected Monday through to Tuesday.
Sting took to social media to share the sad news of his gig's cancellation with fans.
"The mayor of Bassano del Grappa wisely said it would have been too dangerous for the performance to take place with the possibility of lightning and extremely high winds last night," he said.
"The safety of my audience, band and crew is paramount.
Sting's son joins the police and says he has landed his dream job
"I promise we will return as soon as we can," Sting concluded.
Though his fans were devastated, they understood and praised that he put "safety first".
"Last night we were very sad but the weather was terrible and safety is the first thing.. we wait for you soon," commented one.
Another said: "Safety for you, your band and for us. We're waiting for you next time!!!"
"It was heartbreaking, but you're right, safety first. Can't wait to see you live someday," added a third.
A fourth then wrote: "I was so looking forward to the concert, hopefully it can be re-organised soon!"
And a fifth said: "Better safe than sorry. Always. Thank you for looking after everyone."
Back in January, Sting was forced to pull out of a performance on doctor's orders.
"On advisement from his doctor, due to illness, it is with sincere regret that Sting must cancel his appearance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday," a statement read at the start of the year.
It went on to reveal that he would also "postpone his STING 3.0 concerts in Phoenix, AZ (originally scheduled for January 24) to June 1 and Wheatland, CA (originally scheduled for January 26) to May 28 as well as his performance at the Cherrytree Music Company's 20th anniversary, now taking place May 29".
The statement went on to say: "Fans should retain their tickets for the postponed shows, as they will be honoured on the new dates.
"Sting sincerely apologises for any inconvenience and extends his gratitude to the fans for their understanding."

Kate Moss's daughter Lila launches first Barbie doll with type one diabetes

The 22-year-old, who is also a model and has diabetes, was also presented with a one-off Barbie doll of herself during the launch, which comes after the release of deaf, blind and Down's Syndrome versions of the toy. Moss, whose father is British publisher Jefferson Hack, said: 'I think to have a Barbie doll that looks like me with type one diabetes is completely surreal, and it makes me very proud to be able to represent this community. 'I get so many messages every day about how I've helped someone be less insecure or helped them be more proud of their diabetes patches, and so to be able to represent the community in this way is very exciting and special. 'The accessories the Barbie has is a blood glucose monitor and an insulin pump, and they're very important because they keep me alive, and they make living life with type one diabetes much smoother and more practical. 'They are less hidden, so it makes people feel a bit more insecure, but I think it's really important to embrace this technology, especially because it makes living with diabetes so much easier and more practical. 'I think it's so important to embrace these patches and having them, and not hiding them or being insecure about them – I think it's really cool to have them. 'I think my younger self would be really excited about how cool my Barbie's outfit is, how nice her dress is, and she's got a little gold bangle on and she's really chic, but also just proud to represent a really important cause and something so special and close to my heart.' The diabetes doll, which is released on Wednesday and priced at £13.99, wears a blue polka dot top and matching skirt, as the colour is used for global symbols that represent diabetes awareness. Barbie partnered with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), a type one diabetes research and advocacy organisation, for the doll, with Mattel UK donating £20,000 to the charity on behalf of Moss. Krista Berger, senior vice president of Barbie and global head of dolls, said: 'Introducing a Barbie doll with type one diabetes marks an important step in our commitment to inclusivity and representation. 'Barbie helps shape children's early perceptions of the world, and by reflecting medical conditions like type one diabetes, we ensure more kids can see themselves in the stories they imagine and the dolls they love.' The NHS says the condition stops the body from making a hormone called insulin, causing the level of glucose in blood to get too high. It says symptoms include feeling tired, thirsty, going to the toilet more regularly, and fast weight loss. In May, former Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa saw a Barbie doll made in the likeness of his character from the BBC science fiction series.

US rock star drops out of huge band's gigs for the rest of the year to have surgery to stop ‘permanent damage'

He previously took a break in 2023 to protect his mental health OFF STAGE US rock star drops out of huge band's gigs for the rest of the year to have surgery to stop 'permanent damage' A US rock star has dropped out of his band's gigs for the rest of the year to undergo career-saving surgery. Fall Out Boy guitarist and founding member Joe Trohman, 40, revealed he is stepping back from touring in a bid to prevent permanent damage to his hand. 3 Fall Out Boy's Joe Trohman is stepping down from live gigs for the rest of the year Credit: Getty 3 The guitarist needs surgery on his hand Credit: Getty He wrote on Instagram, "After years of managing ongoing issues with my right hand, it's become clear that I need surgery to avoid permanent damage. 'Unfortunately, this means I'll have to take the rest of the year off from playing with the band. 'The silver lining is that I'm on track for a full recovery. The band will still be playing all scheduled shows. 'I'm looking forward to recovering so I can get back out there with the guys. Thanks so much for the love and support.' The band is playing in Calgary, Canada tonight and have festival dates in Japan and Brazil over the summer. Fans sent their well wishes, with one writing, "It's okay Joe, we love you and I hope everything goes well, take all the time you need." Another said, "I just fell to my knees in Walmart. Wishing you luck Joe." In 2023, Trohman took several months off the road to focus on his mental health. His guitar tech Ben Young stepped in on that occasion. Speaking at the time, Trohman said, "Neil Young once howled that it's better to burn out than to fade away. But I can tell you unequivocally that burning out is dreadful. Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years. 'So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell. It pains me to make this decision, especially when we are releasing a new album that fills me with great pride (the sin I'm most proud of).' Listen to Fall Out Boy's single Sugar, We're Goin Down The guitarist spoke of his "severe" mental health issues in his 2022 memoir, None of This Rocks. Trohman has been in and out of therapy since the age of 10 and said he often sees things "through dark-tinted lenses a little bit". Fall Out Boy achieved underground success in 2003 after they released their debut album, Take This to Your Grave. They skyrocketed to worldwide fame in 2005 after the release of the album From Under the Cork Tree, with its lead single Sugar We're Goin' Down reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In 2006, the band was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. A year later, their third album, Infinity On High, topped the Billboard 200. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2009, citing exhaustion as the key reason. "We were being pushed too hard, we were working too often, and I think we had no grounding. There was no, 'This is where I live, this is my family, this is my house, here's where I get mental health assistance, I take my medication this many times a day,'" Trohman shared in an interview with Kerrang. "None of that stuff was happening, it was all just go go go, different places, different things, if you have to succeed you've gotta do this. "And it got to a point where — I can only speak for myself here — but I thought, 'I think we've succeeded… can we stop for a minute? I need to go to my house.'" They reunited in 2013 with the release of the album Save Rock and Roll.
