Soundcore V20i by Anker Headphones Are 53% Off, Almost Free and Cheap Enough to Stock Up
Amazon is currently offering the Soundcore V20i open-ear headphones in black for just $23, thanks to a generous 53% discount off their original $50 price. Prefer something a bit lighter? The blue and white versions are also on sale for $28, so you've got options.

The pair features an open-ear design that utilizes air conduction instead of plugging into your ear canal. Sound is not pushed directly in; it travels around your ears. Since this keeps you aware of your surroundings, you get a much more natural listening experience. Basically, you won't be completely zoned out while having these on.
TPU material makes them both soft and lightweight, while four adjustable ear hook positions let you find the right fit for yourself. Rotate the hooks until they sit just right – maybe go for a stable fit during a run and a more relaxed angle for when you're at home.
Performance is to be taken just as seriously. 16mm dynamic drivers with BassUp technology analyze the music in real-time to automatically optimize the sound levels. Deeper bass and a punchy, clear output are a given, regardless of what you're listening to. Even better, the four built-in mics use AI noise reduction to reduce background noise during voice calls. Take meetings in a cafe or hop on calls during your commute without compromising voice quality. IP55 dust and water resistance means they can handle outdoor use without a problem.
Of course, the battery life doesn't fail to impress either. You get 8 hours of playtime on a single charge and around 36 hours with the charging case – more than enough to get through a few days without plugging them in. And for when you're in the mood to add some personality to your playlists, the V20i earbuds come with customizable lighting that syncs with your music.
Overall, there's a lot to like here if you're looking for comfort, great sound, a solid battery life, and more without spending much. This deal gets you the black version for just $23, but it might not stick around, so it's worth grabbing while it's still live.

Respiree Secures Second FDA 510(k) Clearance, Expands Cardio-Respiratory Wearable to Home Use via 1Bio™ Connected Care Platform
HOUSTON and SINGAPORE, Aug. 05, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Respiree, a health tech company developing artificial intelligence (AI) platforms to manage disease progression across the healthcare continuum, today announced it has received its second U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance. The clearance expands the use of its RS001 cardio-respiratory wearable to home environments and includes approval for its connected care platform marketed as 1Bio™. Illustrative Image of Respiree's RS001 Wearable With its Connected Care 1Bio™ Platform The RS001 is a chest-worn device that directly measures respiration and offers passive cardio-respiratory monitoring. Originally cleared for in-patient clinical use, the RS001's use in home settings marks a significant step toward more accessible and preventive healthcare. The device connects to a cellular hub, which enables data to be visualized in real time via the connected care 1Bio™ dashboard. 'Respiration is the most predictive vital sign for clinical deterioration, yet it remains underutilized – particularly outside hospital settings,' said Dr. Gurpreet Singh, CEO and Founder of Respiree. 'This FDA 510(k) extension allows healthcare systems to passively and accurately monitor leading indicators in the home, enabling earlier interventions and reducing the overall burden on healthcare infrastructure.' The announcement follows Respiree's recent US$11.6 million Series A financing round, led by We Venture Capital and ClavystBio, which will accelerate development toward potential regulatory approvals and global market expansion. Respiree also announced plans to pursue additional FDA clearances for its proprietary AI software, aiming to integrate artificial intelligence models into the 1Bio™ platform for both inpatient and home-based care. 'These are exciting times for us,' added Dr. Singh. 'Our first 510(k) was for the wearable; this second one is for the platform. We are now focused on bringing our flagship AI models into the fold as a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).' About Respiree Respiree™ is an AI/ML health tech company building state-of-the-art clinically-validated artificial intelligence (AI) for managing disease progression across healthcare's care continuum. The 1Bio™ platform by Respiree™ uses data from the EHR and its proprietary US-patented and FDA-cleared sensors to longitudinal measure and track disease progression. Respiree™ is now available in U.S., Australia and Asia-Pacific (APAC). Respiree™ is CE marked, has received regulatory clearances in Australia from the Therapeutics Goods Administration and has received the 510k clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). US Charges Chinese Nationals With Nvidia Chips Export Breach
(Bloomberg) -- Two Chinese nationals were arrested this week on charges that they sent tens of millions of dollars worth of advanced AI chips made by Nvidia Corp. to China in violation of US export restrictions, according to authorities. Mayor Asked to Explain $1.4 Billion of Wasted Johannesburg Funds PATH Train Service Resumes After Fire at Jersey City Station All Hail the Humble Speed Hump The defendants used a company based in El Monte, California, to export sensitive technology, including graphics processing units, used in artificial intelligence without obtaining the necessary government licenses, the Justice Department said in a statement Tuesday. According to a criminal complaint provided by the agency, the two individuals shipped Nvidia-designed chips including the company's H100 AI accelerators, which are the basis for computers used to create and run artificial intelligence software. Such chips require official approval for sales to certain countries. The accused were identified by authorities as Chuan Geng, 28, of Pasadena, and Shiwei Yang, 28, of El Monte. They have been charged with violating the Export Control Reform Act and could face up to 20 years in prison, according to the Justice Department. Lawyers for the Geng and Yang couldn't be immediately located for comment. Spokespeople for Nvidia didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. Over the past several years, the US has steadily tightened restrictions on exports of semiconductors and chipmaking equipment to keep China from gaining ground in the race for AI dominance. The Trump administration is exploring ways to include enhanced location-tracking in AI chips to help with export control enforcement. Up until being superseded earlier this year by a new line of products from Santa Clara, California-based Nvidia, the H100s were considered the most capable such processors. Their export to China and other countries the US has deemed a threat to national security requires licenses from the Commerce Department that are not usually given. In the complaint, authorities called the H100 'the most powerful GPU chip on the market' and claimed the defendants sought to evade US export restrictions on it by shipping through third countries. The Justice Department said Geng and Yang operated a company called ALX Solutions Inc. that was founded in 2022 shortly after the US Commerce Department began requiring licenses to sell such chips to overseas buyers. Export records and other business documents indicate that the company sent at least 20 shipments to shipping and freight-forwarding companies in Singapore and Malaysia but never received payments from those entities, the Justice Department said. ALX Solutions instead received 'numerous payments' from companies based in Hong Kong and China, including a $1 million payment from a China-based company in January 2024, the DOJ said. Those records show that in December 2024, the company had sent a shipment of GPUs that it claimed was in compliance with US export rules, the DOJ said, but neither ALX Solutions nor the defendants had received the US licenses required for such a transaction. Authorities said they searched the ALX Solutions office and seized phones belonging to Geng and Yang and found evidence of communications about shipping chips covered by export controls to China through Malaysia in violation of US restrictions. Yang was also accused of overstaying her visa, according to the Justice Department. Geng is a legal permanent resident, authorities said. A federal judge in Los Angeles on Monday ordered Geng released on a $250,000 bond and scheduled a detention hearing for Yang on Aug. 12. The court did not take any pleas in the case. The Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security is assisting the probe, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. --With assistance from Ian King.
