CBSE Invites Nominations For National Awards To Teachers 25; Applications Open Till July 6
National Teacher Award 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the self-nomination process for the National Teacher Award 2025. Teachers and principals from CBSE-affiliated private independent schools are eligible to apply for the prestigious recognition through the official portal.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible teachers must have completed at least 10 years of continuous service in schools affiliated with a recognised board of school education as of March 31, 2025.
For principals, the eligibility requires 10 years of service as a teacher and 5 years as a principal in CBSE-affiliated institutions by the same date.
Those who retire on or after March 31, 2025, can also apply.
However, principals are not permitted to apply under the teacher category, and applicants may apply under only one category.
How To Apply
Applications must be submitted online only through the CBSE website, cbseit.in/cbse/2025/tchawrd. The deadline for submission is July 6, 2025.
Applicants must upload:
A declaration confirming the authenticity of all submitted information.
Recommendation letters and service certifications signed by the school manager.
Academic documents including certificates from Class 10 to post-graduation.
Class results from Board or school-level examinations.
All documents must be in PDF format, under 1MB in size, and duly verified by either the school head (for teachers) or the school manager (for principals).
Selection Process
CBSE will evaluate applications based on criteria such as service duration, qualifications, age, and exam performance. A merit list will be prepared, and the top 24 candidates will be shortlisted.
In case of ties, additional parameters may be applied. Shortlisted applicants will have two days to upload verified documents. Final selections will be made after an interaction round conducted by a National Level Scrutiny Committee, which will choose six awardees.
Heads of institutions are advised to circulate this information widely among eligible staff members and ensure timely application submissions.

Candidates will get 15 minutes of reading time before the exam begins. The duration of each exam is specified on the date sheet and the admit cards, which students must carry to the exam centres. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 results for 2025 were announced on May 13. The Class 12 results had an overall pass rate of 88.39%, with girls achieving a pass rate of 91.25%, while 85.31% of boys passed. In Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.66%, with girls outperforming boys by scoring 95.00%, while boys had a pass rate of 92.63%. This year, more than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board examinations, which were conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025. 75,000 students take part in Karnataka Examinations Authority's seat-selection programme
Bengaluru: Around 75,000 students participated in Karnataka Examinations Authority's UGCET-25 seat-allocation Manthana programme Saturday at govt engineering colleges across the state. The programme was arranged to help students navigate the seat-selection process. Higher education minister MC Sudhakar inaugurated the programme at the VTU-affiliated engineering college in Chintamani, Chikkaballapur, and interacted with students and parents, answering questions raised during the session. KEA executive director H Prasanna participated in the event at Government Engineering College in Hassan. Each participating college had one KEA representative and technical staff. Due to the large turnout, multiple sessions were conducted to facilitate smooth participation. Over 75,000 students, parents participate in UGCET Seat Allocation Manthana
Aiming to streamline the admission process for professional courses, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) organised the 'UGCET-2025 Seat Allocation Manthana' programme on Saturday at various government engineering colleges across the state, which received an overwhelming response. Higher Education Minister .M.C. Sudhakar inaugurated the programme at a VTU-affiliated engineering college in Chintamani andinteracted with students and parents, answering questions raised during the session. KEA executive director H. Prasanna participated in the event at the Government Engineering College in Hassan. Each participating college had one KEA representative and the necessary technical staff assigned. Due to the large turnout, multiple sessions were conducted to facilitate smooth participation. In Bengaluru, the Manthana event was held at BMS, Ambedkar, and SKIT engineering colleges. At BMS college of engineering alone, more than 10,000 people attended, prompting the use of 19 rooms to conduct simultaneous sessions. Commonly asked questions such as 'How does counselling work?', 'How to choose a college?', and 'How to do option entry?' were explained through video demonstrations detailing the entire seat allocation process. Participants were also cautioned against falling prey to fraudsters promising seat allotments through dishonest means.
