Ashi Singh
, who is currently seen as Kairi Sharma in Ufff Yeh Love Hai Mushkil, recently addressed the much-discussed age gap between her and her co-star Shabir Ahluwalia. In an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV, Ashi shared her thoughts on the dynamic and her experience working alongside the seasoned actor.
Talking about their onscreen equation, she revealed, 'Till now we are mostly doing that nok-jhok and clash session and I really hope that this chemistry — because that is more difficult to show — I hope that comes out very well. Rest, when you work with Shabbir sir, it never felt like I am working with someone very senior.'
Despite Shabir's long-standing presence in the industry, Ashi emphasized how grounded and approachable he is on set.
'Of course, I know in my head that he is very senior, he is amazing in his work. But he never gives you that vibe, he never makes you feel that way. So it's a very comforting space with him. So it's not that difficult to work with him. He is an easy person to work with,' she added.
Addressing the topic of age-gap romances, Ashi reflected on how perspectives have evolved, both onscreen and off. 'In fact, I would say recently and in the last few years only we are watching this age gap thing.
Before that, there was nothing like that. In our real life, there was a taboo that age difference should be this much. Like we used to say that the girl should be younger. So now in our real life, there is nothing like this.
Girl can be older, boy can be older… If your age is 18 and you want to marry a 40-year-old, you are free to do what you want to do.'
The actress believes the audience is more accepting today. 'So even if we are showing this, people are accepting that this is possible.
This is not something that can't happen.'
Describing her character, Ashi said, 'Kairi is full of life, hope, and conviction — she's someone who truly believes in love, in purpose, and in creating her own path. What drew me to her character is that she's not afraid to be vulnerable, yet she's incredibly strong in her beliefs. She's the kind of person who walks into a room and lights it up but also has the depth to navigate the most difficult situations with grace. Working with Shabir has been amazing; he brings so much nuance and restraint to his performance, and that contrast plays out beautifully onscreen.

Exclusive: Sneha Bhawsar on Ishani's new time and playing an antagonist; says ‘People love to hate Ankita and that's the biggest compliment I can get'

Ishani, the spin-off of the popular show Jhanak, premiered on July 3 and has already carved its own space on television. Actress Sneha Bhawsar, who plays the manipulative and complex Ankita, is thrilled with how far the show—and her character—have come. Speaking to Times of India TV, she shared her excitement, fan reactions, and what it means to play such a layered role in a prime-time slot. Reflecting on the show's evolving journey, Sneha said, 'Who would've thought… from being part of a show, to a spin-off airing at 11 PM (yes, the 'sab so rahe hote hai' slot), to now becoming our very own show at 7:30 PM with a fresh storyline and identity — it's been a rollercoaster! The love you've shown for Ishani has been unreal, and honestly, that's what kept us going. This journey is just getting started… Stay with us, kyunki abhi toh bas shuruaat hui hai — picture abhi baaki hai!' On audience feedback, Sneha gleefully shared, 'Oh, people love to hate Ankita—and honestly, that's the biggest compliment I can get as an actor! The hate is pouring in—and I'm loving every bit of it! People are genuinely furious at Ankita, and that tells me I'm doing my job just right. That fine line between annoyance and fascination? That's where Ankita lives… rent-free in people's heads.' Looking ahead, fans can expect drama at its best. 'Ankita and Yash's wedding is coming up—it's going to be beautiful, dramatic, and full of unexpected moments,' Sneha teased. Speaking about the prime-time shift, she added, 'Playing Ankita in a prime-time slot is a dream. Most people expect female characters to be likable or redeemable—but Ankita isn't either, and I love that. This slot ensures more people witness her manipulations unfold in real time. That challenge? I live for it.' With intensity, mystery, and emotional depth, Ishani and Sneha's Ankita are clearly here to stay—and stir things up.

Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 winner and actress Divya Agarwal , who recently made her acting comeback with Badass Begum, is all praise for her husband Apurva Padgaonkar. She credits him for being a constant source of motivation, encouraging her to chase bigger goals and explore new heights in her career. In an exclusive chat with Times of India TV, Divya called Apurva the wind beneath her wings and also revealed his reaction for her latest project. Speaking about Apurva's reaction to Badass Begum, Divya shared, "He's genuinely overjoyed — he absolutely loves it. His wife being an actor makes him even more connected to the experience. One thing that really stood out to him was seeing my name, Divya, appear first in the credits. It's usually the male actor who gets listed first, but here, my name leading the credits made him proud. He sees me as the main hero, the main villain — basically, the heart of it all. " Divya further shared how her family pushes her to do her best in her career and be fearless. She said, "Yes, Apurva is the wind beneath my wings. I'd say that quite beautifully. At the same time, I strongly believe that choosing not to become a mother doesn't make someone any less of a woman. My nurturing side is very much alive and I express it with my family, my team.
