Bobby Brazier's desperation over brother Freddy's latest move

Daily Mirror08-06-2025
As Freddy Brazier's reported feud with his dad Jeff is thought to be rumbling on, a source has revealed what his older brother, EastEnders star Bobby, thinks of the family divide.
The alleged feud between Freddy Brazier and his dad Jeff has left Freddy's older brother, EastEnders star Bobby, sad and praying for his family to be reunited, a source has told Mirror.
The brothers – the sons of late TV personality Jade Goody – previously enjoyed a tight-knit relationship with each other and their TV presenter father, but in recent weeks 20-year-old Freddy has reportedly been living with his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden. The aspiring model was allegedly seen 'smoking a joint' with Jackiey, 68, who has a history of drug abuse.

'Bobby wants the family to be reunited, he hates the divide. Bobby and Freddy both love their grandmother very much, she's Jade's mum and a connection they have to her – it's all the more poignant and sad given that it was their mum's birthday on 5 June,' claims the source.

The source continues, 'But Jeff is livid over the whole thing. He feels that he has brought the kids up single-handedly and Jackiey is a bad influence. Drugs are not something Jeff wants the boys around and he's not happy with the whole situation.'
Pictures of Jackiey and Freddy together surfaced just days before what would have been Jade's 44th birthday. Jade, who was a contestant on Big Brother in 2002, tragically passed away seven years later, aged 27, following a battle with cervical cancer.
She was in a relationship with Jeff for two years up until their 2004 split, with Jeff going on to raise their two children following her death.
However, Jeff has had a long-standing feud with Jade's mum. Previously he said that during his sons' childhoods, Jackiey would spoil them with 'unsuitable' gifts, claiming she once bought Freddy a hamster without checking with him, and supplied the boys with mobile phones during a visit. 'I just wish we could work together a little better,' he said in 2012.
However, the relationship later broke down completely and Jackiey didn't see her grandsons for a period of time, before regular visits began again. 'As she settled in herself, the boys kept a lot of contact with her and at the moment she's very helpful and very prominent in their lives,' said Jeff in 2014.

Things have once again turned sour between the pair, however, with Jackiey claiming in 2023 that she'd had to buy her own ticket for the National Television Awards where Bobby was being honoured with the Rising Star award. Asked about her thoughts on Jeff by reporters, Jackiey bluntly retorted, 'He's a c**t.' She added, 'He has been one for f**king nine years.'
Now, more than a decade after Jade's tragic death, the source claims a family feud is the last thing she would have wanted.

'Jade wouldn't have wanted a divide within the family, it's the last thing she saw for them. This time of year is already difficult enough without any extra drama. The boys always remember Jade together and it's not nice doing it with drama over their heads.'
In what appeared to be another snub to the family, Freddy is thought to have skipped his older brother's 22nd birthday last week. As the actor marked the milestone with loved ones including dad Jeff, 46, and stepmum Kate, his sibling was noticeably absent. However, Freddy did acknowledge Bobby's birthday on Instagram.
And last Friday, days after he was spotted smoking what appeared to be a joint with Jackiey, Freddy revealed he was checking into rehab. He wrote in his Instagram Stories that he was going to be 'cutting down' as he headed to a rehab centre in Marbella.

'I've been smoking from the age of 12 and it's time to stop,' he wrote. 'It was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction – something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and somewhat OK.'
Continuing that he had found a rehab centre where he could heal, Freddy added, 'I want to be clean so I can live life happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather than feeling like I'm in the middle and have to choose a side. I haven't been able to feel love properly as I have never loved myself and it starts now. I want to play football and take up boxing. I want to be happy and be in a healthy relationship and have a healthy relationship with my Nana and my father.'

Explaining that Bobby and Freddy remain close, but are struggling with the family dynamic, the source claims, 'It's difficult for Bobby and for Freddy as brothers, especially considering Bobby's success in recent years with Strictly and EastEnders – Freddy feels like he's fallen into the background.

'It's a case of him rebelling against it all. But they are really close as siblings and Bobby wants more than anything for his brother to come home and for the family to be back together again. He hates seeing his dad so anxious.'
While Bobby has carved out a successful TV career, Freddy's profile is also on the rise. He describes himself as a 'model and TV personality' and appeared on Celebrity Race Across The World alongside Jeff.

On the show, Freddy and Jeff's close relationship was clear for viewers to see, but it appears that things with Jackiey could be jeopardising that.
Jeff has reportedly taken legal action in a bid to prevent Jackiey from seeing Freddy, citing concerns over his wellbeing.
However, it has been claimed that the move has backfired on Jeff, with a source claiming recently, 'Jeff was never going to keep Freddy away from his nanny for very long – they've always had a strong bond. Jeff may hate her for all sorts of reasons going back many years, but Freddy loves her very much.'
Meanwhile, our source maintains that Bobby is stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his dad, brother and grandmother.
'Both the boys love Jackiey and have a close relationship with her, but Freddy is closer to her. He loves going to her flat and having time together. Bobby is happy to stay home with his dad and respect his wishes, but Freddy doesn't feel the same way, so Bobby feels stuck in the middle. He wants them all to be a family.'

JESS BOULTON: 'Strictly star should feel a shiver down their spine after latest move'

Daily Mirror's Jessica Boulton unleashes her latest Jess Saying column: From King Charles to Gwyneth Paltrow to one very brave Strictly star's safe Jessica Boulton works on the Mirror's features desk, specialising in celebrity features and interviews. She also writes a weekly observational comedy column Jess Saying, which runs each Saturday. In addition, she oversees the entertainment pages, helps co-ordinate the Pride of Britain coverage and newsletter and guest edits The Diary. Jessica joined The Mirror's sister paper The People in 2006, and has since worked on the Sunday Mirror and Now magazine. Most likely to be found raving about The Oscars, BAFTAs, Netflix, Friends or Star Wars. Daily Mirror Columnist Jessica Boulton takes you through the up, downs and ridiculous moments of the past seven days in showbiz in the latest instalment of her wry, witty and oh-so-slightly sarcastic weekly column Jess Saying...... ‌ And where better to start than with my pictures of the week? Anyone who read last week's column last week will remember my unbridled joy at the prospect of a Dawson's Creek reunion between Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson. So imagine my reaction at now having seen the first shots of them filming in NYC this week? ‌ It's been 22 years since we last saw them as Joey Potter and Pacey Witter, two-thirds of the Noughties' most angst-ridden TV love triangle. But from the looks of these pics on the set of romcom Happy Hours, it seems their age-old chemistry hasn't changed a bit. ‌ Katie is writing, directing and starring in the movie – about childhood sweethearts who reunite. And talking of exes... Katie's ex Tom Cruise, 63, this week finally went public with long-rumoured love Ana de Armas, 37. Ana has cemented her name as an action star after hits like John Wick's Ballerina. But will thrice-divorced Tom make the relationship work this time? Or will it go up the same creek as his others? And I don't mean Dawson's. Of course, Katie and Joshua were just the cherry on the cake of an deliciously-varied week in the world of celebs..... ‌ Good job Monday The Lionesses have done it again! The England Women's Football Team celebrated their Euros victory with a well-deserved open-bus top parade after bringing home yet another major trophy. It was quite the sight to see – and one we rarely get to enjoy. I mean, let's face it the last time I saw The Three Lions bring home a major trophy, I must have been… Um …Let me think…I'm just doing the maths… Yes, that's right …...AN UNFERTILISED EGG. I mean, who would have thought Baddiel and Skinner's '30 years of hurt' would actually end up being a wildly optimistic underestimation? We're now on 59 years and counting. In hindsight, maybe it was a good job the FA had their sexist ban on women women from playing football for so many years. The way The Lionesses are going, they would have filled their share of the England trophy cabinets a couple of decades ago. Still, I suppose they could've borrowed a few empty shelves from the men. ‌ Tweed Tuesday Get your coat, Lady Victoria Beckham! There's a new fashion designer hot on your tail. And this one boasts a title that's even more impressive. Yes, King Charles has decided to turn his hand to a new skill and has launched his own range of Sandringham Royal Tweed overcoats. Each comes with a brown collar and belt and costs between £39.99 and £49.99. His models are a bit bitchier than VB's glam pals however. ‌ Because the King's clothing line … is just for pups. Or, as the sales blurb says, 'Pooches in the parkland" who "can now look effortlessly stylish.' Obviously his Autumn/Winter pup line sorted. But what will his clients be strutting down the cat, sorry, dog- walk next summer? If it's not a range of tweed dog-kinis, I am going to be royally disappointed… Cry me a river Wednesday I've never been as keen as most on Gwyneth Paltrow. But until this week I could never quite put my finger on why. It wasn't her meme-worthy Oscar-weeping (or the fact she won one for a so-so performance in Shakespeare In Love). It wasn't that her critically lauded take on Emma wasn't a patch on Alicia Silverstone's Clueless take the year before. And it wasn't because she insists on flogging fancy jade eggs for people to put in their, um, hidden little nooks and crannies. No. I actually realised this week it was because everything appeared to come so very, very easy for Miss Paltrow. An intro to Hollywood from her famous parents? Check. An Oscar before she was 30? Check. A hot fiance (or several)? Check, check, check. ‌ However a new biography making headlines this week seems to argue Gwynnie hasn't always had a smooth ride. For it reveals she was once forced to make an impossible, unenviable, life-changing, Sophie's choice. Yes, in 1995, she faced a dilemma so big, it's difficult to understand how she ever got through it… No, it wasn't heating or eating. Or who to save in an accident. It was a choice that was even tougher... BRAD or KEANU? ‌ Yup. The biography reveals Gwynnie's big crisis was – did she take a role as Brad Pitt's love interest in Seven? Or did she take a role as Keanu Reeves's love interest in Feeling Minnesota? Schedules would only allow for her to do one…( My heart bleeds. It really does.) Apparently it was her friend who eventually came to her aid with a poignant soul-searching question: 'Well, which one do you want to date?' Obviously for most of us there is no wrong answer. So it was hardly worth losing her head over it. But in the end, she opted for Brad and Seven, so I guess…she, kind of, actually did. Cry me a bigger river Thursday Harvey Weinstein was having a good old whinge from his prison cell this week. The convicted rapist and former Miramax co-founder was – inexplicably – allowed to give a YouTube interview to right-wing podcaster Candace Owens after his latest court appearances. ‌ And while I have no intention of giving him a platform to discuss his most recent accusers, there were a couple of other things he said that caught my attention. First, poor old Harvey, ahem, is clearly questioning the Yelp reviews he read of Hotel Rikers Island, aka New York's toughest penitentiary, were wholly accurate. I hate to break it to him but Rikers - the Bronx institution where former 'guests' include Summer Of Sam serial killer David Berkowitz and John Lennon's assassin Mark Chapman - doesn't exactly come with fresh towels, housekeeping and a turn down service. 'This is a very rough place,' he whined. 'It's unhygienic. It took me five days to get a pillow. Rikers Island is medieval.' ( Save it for the 'guest' comment card, Harvey.) And secondly... it turns out he's actually plotting his next film while behind bars. And no, it's not a remake of The Shawshank Redemption. He wants to re-adapt Ernest Hemingway's 1929 novel A Farewell To Arms. It was last made into a film in 1957 and has just entered the public domain. However I think I can safely say Harvey's version would be a box-office bomb. ‌ Why? Er, 1. His only supporters are likely to be of the right-wing MAGA-loving gun-toting probably assume it's an attack on the Second Amendment. And... 2. He's a rapist. And, don't get me wrong, I like a Monster Movie - but only when the big bad beast is the star of the show, not the producer. Freaky Friday Couples that play together, stay together, or so former Strictly hubby and wife duo Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton will be hoping. The pair are part of the latest line-up for 2:22: A Ghost Story – the smash hit play that appears to have become the universal platform for a certain type of female celeb to reinvent themselves. ‌ Just look at the previous names who have previously landed one of the two top female parts: Former popstar-turned-actress Lily Allen, Former popstar-turned-TV judge Cheryl What's-Her-Surname, Former popstar-turned-TV-personality Frankie Bridge, Former Love Island-presenter Laura Whitmore, Former-EastEnder-Since Returned-To-EastEnders Louisa the list goes on. So forget the spooky spirits in the plot. And forget working together night after night means they're practically begging to be hit by the Strictly curse. (Howard Carter emptying King Tutankhamun's tomb was possibly less risky). For, the biggest problem Poor Stace must face are the ghosts: the ghosts of every female celeb who's trodden those very board before her. Lily got a gong. Cheryl got a rave - albeit surprised - response. Laura Whitmore, got, er, um.... well, you get the picture. The thing is, every single star, like Stacey, was a relative theatre newbie, better known for another career. And there's nothing a ghoulish theatre critic likes better, than seeing them come a cropper. ‌ So If Stace thought Craig Revel Horwood was harsh on Strictly, the prospect of the first night reviews is what will really send a shiver down her spine. And a little pick-me-up: During a soap wedding almost anything can happen, except the big event going off infidelities, a bride too drunk to say her vows... but none of that happened when Jack P Shepherd, Coronation Street's smart-mouthed David Platt, tied the knot with his real life love Hanni Treweek this week. It must have been a right let down for any of the soap scriptwriters among the guests who were hoping for a bit of inspiration for their next Corrie calamity wedding fact, the closest to a disaster seems to have been a very happy Samia Longchambon sat on the shoulders of husband Sylvain. But fear not, these two have had professional training for lifts like this, from back in their 2013 Dancing On Ice this time there were unlikely to be any slip ups..... as the only ice at the scene was chilling the bubbly.

William and Kate Middleton's fears over move with kids after Royal Family 'bad blood'

There has been speculation that the Prince and Princess of Wales might want to leave their Adelaide Cottage home for a larger property - but Jennie Bond has ruled out one potential new home The Prince and Princess of Wales appear to have set up a relaxed home life with their children at their cosy Windsor cottage. ‌ But with their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - getting older and William in particular being handed more royal responsibilities, could a house move be on the cards? It has been suggested that in time, the Wales family might want to upsize from Adelaide Cottage to something a bit bigger - with the historic Fort Belvedere being one of the mooted properties. ‌ It comes after reports Prince William was 'human shield' in tense moment between Kate Middleton and Meghan. ‌ However, according to royal expert Jennie Bond, if a move in the future is on the cards for the family it will all come down to one thing - what is best for their children. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: "Well, the first thing that has to be said is that this is just a rumour. William and Catherine have been so set on giving their children a more 'normal' upbringing than royal youngsters before them that it's hard to imagine them wanting to move to what is, in effect, a castle — albeit it a relatively small one. ‌ "However, it may well be that they feel they are outgrowing Adelaide Cottage - four bedrooms for a family of five doesn't leave much room for visiting relatives or friends, or for kids' sleepovers. "Whatever they decide, William and Catherine will have their children's happiness at heart. For them, preserving a relaxed, cosy family life - as close to some sort of normality as possible given their status - is a top priority." ‌ When it comes to Fort Belvedere, it is a a stunning gothic revival mansion in Windsor Great Park, built in the 18th century, and was the preferred home of Edward Vlll before he abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson. It was renovated by Edward who put in a swimming pool, tennis court and stables and it is a huge property which has a long path to the entrance and even has a moat running around it. And Jennie added: "Fort Belvedere — where Edward VIII signed his abdication papers — would certainly be a step up in terms of grandeur. With up to eight bedrooms, acres of garden, a lake, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a polo stud its appeal is obvious. Charlotte and Catherine love playing tennis, and the whole family would enjoy the outdoor pool. ‌ "Although it's still pretty Gothic looking, the Fort was elegantly renovated by its private tenants — the late Galen Weston, a Canadian billionaire, and his wife Hilary. They were great friends of the royal family. "There are also about three cottages in the grounds, which could be useful for staff or protection officers." ‌ Although an imminent house move is not believed to be in the offing, another royal home the Waleses have also been linked to for a future move is Royal Lodge. The house is currently occupied by Prince Andrew, although it is reported the King would prefer him to give it up in favour of the smaller Frogmore Cottage - a former home of Prince Harry and Meghan. With its 30 rooms, Royal Lodge would certainly provide William, Kate and their children with more space than their current home. But Jennie warned: "There's been much talk of the Wales's wanting to move to Royal Lodge, but that is already a cause of bad blood within the family as Prince Andrew refuses to budge. Fort Belvedere could be an inspired alternative which would be less provocative than taking over Andrew's home."

Gwyneth Paltrow book bombshells from Madonna fall out to x-rated Ben Affleck confession

From kissing Shakespeare to promoting vaginal steaming, Gwyneth Paltrow's career has been far from ordinary. Now an unauthorised new biography purports to shed light on the star's private life, with some eye-opening revelations For decades, Gwyneth Paltrow has been at the very heart of popular culture, from red carpets to wellness trends. Now, a new biography purports to shed light on the superstar behind closed doors. ‌ For her unauthorised book 'Gwyneth: The Biography', writer Amy Odell interviewed 220 people to get a clear picture of who the 52-year-old actress turned businesswoman really is, away from her controversial thoughts on vaginal steaming and jade eggs. ‌ Born in LA to actress Blythe Danner and film producer-director Bruce Paltrow, Gwyneth was rubbing shoulders with movie professionals from birth, and it's unsurprising that she rose to become Hollywood royalty and one of the most talked about women on Earth. It comes after Taylor Swift sparks engagement rumours as fans spot Travis Kelce's lock screen. ‌ The Talented Mr Ripley star has long intrigued fans, not least because of the many icons who populate her close inner circle, from pin-up exes to legendary former best friends. Here, the Mirror takes a look at just some of the bombshells in Odell's hair-raising new book, including a very naughty anecdote about Ben Affleck... Brad Pitt jibe Gwyneth has long appeared to be on excellent terms with her A-lister ex Brad Pitt, with the former couple even opening up about the now platonic love they share in a 2022 Goop interview. Making reference to her TV writer husband Brad Falchuk, Gwyneth joked: "I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry. It just took me 20 years." However, Odell has suggested that things perhaps haven't always been so amicable between the pair, who first locked eyes in 1994, on the set of David Fincher's classic crime thriller, Se7en. Two years later, the iconic '90s 'It couple' announced their engagement, but parted ways before making it to the altar. ‌ It wasn't long before Brad moved on with Friends actress Jennifer Aniston, marking the beginning of the Brad, Jenn, and Angelina love triangle that would keep gossip writers chattering throughout the '00s. For Gywneth's part, she spoke fondly about her heartthrob ex in interviews, describing him as "so gorgeous and sweet" in a 2015 interview with Howard Stern. However, as claimed by Odell, in private, Gwyneth used some far less glowing terms to describe her ex-fiancé, who she reportedly blasted as "dumber than a sack of s**t" who had "terrible taste in women". ‌ A few years after her heartbreaking split from the Fight Club star, the future wellbeing entrepreneur became the face of Estee Lauder. It was during this time that a friendship developed with the founder's daughter, billionaire heiress Aerin Lauder, in whom she allegedly confided her true feelings about Brad. According to this bombshell book, while seated together at dinner one evening, Gwyneth plainly told Aerin: "He's dumber than a sack of s***." 'Toxic' friendship with Madonna ‌ Once upon a time, Gwyneth and music legend Madonna were thick as thieves back in the '90s and '00s. As two of the most recognisable women in the world, the pair had plenty in common, from being married to English husbands to a love of Kabbalah. They would even enjoy holidays together. It would appear that Gwyneth looked up to the now 66-year-old Queen of Pop as an inspiration as she navigated the challenges and pitfalls of the upper echelons of fame. Back in 2006, as per US Weekly, Gwyneth shared: 'Everything I have gone through, she went through 10 times worse and 10 times longer. She gives me good advice about how to say no and take care of myself." However, according to Odell's book, things went downhill sharply when Madonna's "toxic" behaviour allegedly left Gwyneth and her then-husband Chris Martin "disgusted". ‌ Odell wrote: 'Their relationship reached a breaking point when Madonna showed up to an island where Gwyneth and [Chris] Martin were vacationing. Madonna seemed to know that Gwyneth would be there, which Gwyneth seemed to find strange, a friend remembered. "Madonna then insisted Gwyneth and Martin join her for a big group dinner at a long table, where Madonna went off on her daughter, Lourdes. Gwyneth and Martin were disgusted by the behavior. 'I can't be around this woman anymore,' Martin told Gwyneth. 'She's awful.' Gwyneth agreed that Madonna was toxic and ended the friendship.' It's unclear when exactly this incident occurred, and no details have ever been given publicly to explain why the friendship cooled off. However, the two former besties have not been photographed together since 2010, suggesting this was the cut-off point. It was also at this point that a source told US Weekly that the women were no longer on speaking terms. ‌ Steamy Ben Affleck reveal Shortly after her painful split from Brad, Gwyneth entered into a relationship with another leading man, Ben Affleck. The year was 1997, at time when Affleck was enjoying widespread acclaim for his Academy Award-winning screenplay Good Will Hunting. Gwyneth, too, was riding a career high, being in the midst of a flurry of well-received movies. The year before, she'd starred in the title role of Emma Woodhouse in a widely beloved adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma. The year 1998 proved to be Gwyneth's golden year, seeing her star in both Sliding Doors and Shakespeare In Love. Their three-year relationship, therefore, came at an exciting time for both Gwyneth and Affleck, and these thrills reportedly extended to the bedroom. According to Odell, Gwyneth confided in makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin about the adventurous sex life she shared with Affleck, now 52. In particular, Gwyneth reportedly spoke candidly about an X-rated sex act she allegedly "loved". According to Odell: 'She spoke openly about how much she enjoyed their sex life. She told (Aucoin) one day that she loved when Affleck 'tea-bagged' her." She added: "It was the ribald side of her that her friends knew well but that the public didn't see." ‌ Saucey antics aside, Gwyneth and Affleck were well suited, but sadly, Affleck's "demons" allegedly stood in the way of a happily ever after. Odell claimed: "Her friends thought Ben was more of an intellectual match. But he had demons. Affleck was struggling with alcoholism and a gambling habit around the time he met Gwyneth.' Affleck has spoken openly about being a recovering alcoholic. In 2020, he told The New York Times: "People with compulsive behavior, and I am one, have this kind of basic discomfort all the time that they're trying to make go away. You're trying to make yourself feel better with eating or drinking or sex or gambling or shopping or whatever. But that ends up making your life worse." Gwyneth: The Biography by Amy Odell will be available to buy from July 29.
