Accompanied by Board member Shantaram, he visited MTVAC in Tirumala on Sunday evening and commenced Vada serving in the evening Annaprasadam menu to devotees. Later speaking to the media, the Chairman said that TTD commenced serving Vada in MTVAC from March 6 this year aiming to provide tastier Annaprasadam. ''From today onwards, Vada will be served till the end of the day in Annaprasadam Complex. On an average, nearly 70,000 to 75,000 Vadas will be served to devotees every day in MTVAC,' he added.
Annaprasadam Deputy EO Rajendra Kumar, catering special officer GLN Sastry and others were present.

Devotees waiting for darshan in the compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex at Tirumala will also be given books. During a recent event at the Tirumala camp office, TTD officials presented Chairman BR Naidu with an array of books slated for distribution. The collection includes revered texts such as Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Venkateswara Suprabhatam, Bhaja Govindam, Lalita Sahasranamam, Shiva Stotram, Bhagavad Gita, and biographies of influential personalities. A remarkable aspect of this initiative is that the entire cost of printing these books is being borne by generous donors, ensuring no utilization of TTD funds. With this philanthropic support, the handbooks will initially be printed in Telugu and subsequently extended to other languages for nationwide distribution. The TTD Chairperson has emphasised the importance of this programme in propagating Hindu Dharma and actively working to curb religious conversions. The idea is to promote spiritual welfare and preserve and promote Sanatana Dharma.

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is set to launch a free book distribution initiative to deepen public understanding of Sanatana Dharma and push back against religious conversions. The 'Pustaka Prasadam' will be distributed to devotees visiting the Tirumala temple. The initiative, still in its early stages, has been conceived under the leadership of TTD chairman B R Naidu and will be carried out by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP). While the books will be made available to all, there will be a special focus on reaching people in remote and marginalised communities, such as Dalit colonies, tribal hamlets, and agency areas, where access to spiritual resources is often limited. A wide range of texts are being prepared for distribution, including Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavam, Bhagavad Gita, Vishnu Sahasranamam, Venkateswara Suprabhatam, Bhaja Govindam, Lalita Sahasranamam, Shiva Stotram, and biographies of revered saints and spiritual figures. The aim is to make these works part of everyday life for those who may not otherwise encounter them. On Tuesday, HDPP officials handed over the first printed copies to chairman Naidu at the Tirumala Camp Office, marking the beginning of what the TTD hopes will become a wide-reaching movement. Along with community-level distribution, these books will also be placed inside the Vaikuntham Queue Complex at Tirumala, giving pilgrims something meaningful to engage with while they wait for darshan. What's noteworthy is that this entire project is being funded through donations. Individuals and organisations have come forward to cover the printing costs, meaning TTD's regular funds won't be touched. The programme will first be rolled out in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with plans to expand to other states gradually. TTD also intends to translate the material into different Indian languages to make it accessible to a broader audience. The TTD chairman has directed that the rollout be carried out in phases, with a clear focus on spiritual education and cultural awareness. At its heart, the initiative seeks to help people reconnect with the roots of their faith, especially those in communities that may be most vulnerable to outside influences.

Tirumala Tirupati Trust Adds Vada To Annaprasadam Menu
Last Updated: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is preparing approximately 75,000 vadas every day In a significant move aimed at enhancing the quality and variety of Annaprasadam offered to devotees, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced vadas as part of the daily menu at the main Anna Prasadam center in Tirumala. Devotees can now relish freshly prepared vadas during both lunch and dinner hours, from 11 am to 10 pm. A few days ago, TTD had introduced vadas during lunch. Now, they are also being served at dinner, expanding the offering to more devotees throughout the day. As part of this initiative, TTD is preparing approximately 75,000 vadas every day. During peak periods such as Brahmotsavams and other festivals, the number is expected to exceed one lakh. To mark the launch of this new addition, TTD Chairman BR Naidu performed a special puja at the Vengamamba Annaprasada Bhavan in Tarigonda, Tirumala. He offered vadas to the portrait of Swami Ammavarla and later personally served them to devotees. Speaking to the media, he emphasised the Board's commitment to offering quality, hygienic, and delicious food to the visiting pilgrims. 'Although vadas were already being served during lunch, we have now extended the offering to dinner as well," he said. 'They are made with ingredients like gram flour, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and anise, specially tailored to suit devotees' tastes." The daily Annaprasadam menu typically includes chutney, sweet, rice, dal, sambar, curry, rasam, and buttermilk. With the inclusion of vadas, the offering becomes even more wholesome. However, vadas will be available exclusively at the main Anna Prasadam center and not at the other 36 distribution points across Tirumala. TTD's Annaprasada Trust recently completed 40 years of service. It continues to provide food to over 1.7 lakh to 1.9 lakh devotees daily, with the number rising to 2.2 lakh on weekends and up to 3 lakh during major festivals. In addition to meals, around 41,000 devotees are served milk, coffee, and buttermilk daily. Breakfast is provided to nearly 65,000 devotees, lunch to 77,000, and dinner to 51,000.
