The 22-year- old Onley claimed the second major win of his career at the end of a mountainous 183.5km from La Punt to Sant Maria with a head-to-head battle to the line.
'I felt good, and just gave it a go on the last climb,' Onley said.
'I don't win often and I've had a quite a few podiums so far this year, or quite close results, so to pull it off today is really nice for myself and my teammates, because they do a really good job every day, today was no different.
'It's nice to be able to pay them back now and a again,' he added.

Arsenal Sign Striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting
Arsenal have bolstered their attacking line with the signing of Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Portuguese side Sporting CP, the Premier League club announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old forward joins on a five-year deal, with British media reporting a transfer fee of £55 million ($73.89 million) upfront, plus £8 million in performance-based add-ons. Gyökeres becomes Arsenal's fifth signing of the summer as manager Mikel Arteta looks to build a title-winning squad. 'We're absolutely delighted to welcome Viktor Gyökeres to the club,' Arteta said. 'The consistency he has shown in his performances and availability have been outstanding, and his goal contributions speak for themselves.' Gyökeres arrives after two prolific seasons at Sporting, where he scored 97 goals and provided 28 assists in 102 appearances. He finished last season with an astonishing 54 goals in 52 matches, playing a vital role in Sporting's domestic double and delivering a standout Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City. The signing addresses a key need for Arsenal, who lacked a reliable central striker last season and finished 10 points behind champions Liverpool. Injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz forced Arteta to improvise late in the campaign, even deploying midfielder Mikel Merino as a false nine. Gyökeres, who previously played for Coventry City and had a stint at Brighton, will wear the number 14 shirt and join Arsenal's pre-season tour in Asia. His arrival follows the acquisitions of Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Nørgaard, and Martin Zubimendi, as the Gunners aim to end their 21-year Premier League title drought.

Piastri takes pole for Belgian GP sprint race
AFP | Spa-Francorchamps Series leader Oscar Piastri secured pole position for Saturday's sprint race at the Belgian Grand Prix when he beat Red Bull's Max Verstappen by 0.477 seconds with a devastating record lap in his McLaren. The 24-year-old Australian, who leads the drivers' championship by eight points ahead of McLaren team-mate Lando Norris, clocked a fastest lap in 1min 40.510sec yesterday to seize the prime starting position. He was six-tenths of a second faster than Norris who was third ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon of Haas, Carlos Sainz of Williams and Oliver Bearman in the second Haas. Pierre Gasly was eighth for Alpine ahead of Racing Bulls' rookie Isack Hadjar and Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto while seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton wound up in 18th place after spinning his Ferrari in SQ1. 'That was a good lap!' said Piastri. 'I had a scare in SQ2 with the deletion of my lap, but the car has been mega all day so thanks to the team. The car is great.' Piastri's success helped him erase his disappointment at the British Grand Prix where he was handed a 10-second penalty and felt he missed out on a victory as Norris won to trim his lead in the title race. Verstappen, in his first race weekend since the exit of team boss Christian Horner, said he was satisfied with P2. 'To be there between the two of them is a good result for us,' he said. 'And I enjoyed it out there and the lap was good. The gap is big, so we have to focus on ourselves and the balance of the car.' The session began in bright and breezy conditions at the majestic old circuit in the Ardennes, soon after new Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies had made his first public appearance after replacing Horner. As expected, the Frenchman told a news conference his priority was to secure the future of Verstappen.

Liverpool to honour Diogo Jota in return to action at Preston
Liverpool have announced a series of tributes to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva when the Reds return to action on Sunday at Preston for the first time since the Portuguese international's death. Jota and Silva were killed in a car crash in northern Spain on July 3. Liverpool's return to pre-season training was delayed until Tuesday as a result. However, the match at English Championship side Preston will go ahead as scheduled in the first of Liverpool's pre-season friendlies. A rendition of Liverpool's anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' will be played prior to the 1400GMT kick-off and Preston will lay a wreath in front of the away supporters. A minute's silence will then be observed, digital tributes displayed on the stadium big screen and on pitchside advertising boards and players from both teams will wear black armbands. Father of three Jota, who married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso 11 days before the accident, died alongside his brother after a Lamborghini they were travelling came off the road and burst into flames. Liverpool manager Arne Slot and a number of first-team players, led by captain Virgil van Dijk, attended Jota's funeral last Saturday.
