Senecia 2
MAKES no sense. Highly tried last season and ran well in blinkers over C&D in November. Looks held on form this year and may prefer softer. Others preferred.
Zanahiyr 4
ZAN the man. Was a cracking third in this last year. Losing run adding up but could bounce back for Gordon Elliott.

Jesse Evans 4
GREAT Jesse. Goes well at Galway, ran well over hurdles last time and stays this far. Strong traveller with a turn of foot. Live contender despite fairly testing weight.
Western Fold 4
BEST Western. On a roll with two emphatic wins at staying trips; improving rapidly and jumps well. Ground and track no issue. Big player if coping with 11st10.

Amirite 3
RITE stuff. Probably doesn't win as many as he should but often runs well like when fourth in the Topham an Aintree. Comes here off a win and isn't ruled out.
Nurburgring 5
RING of fire. Won Galway Hurdle in 2024 and impressed on latest chase win. He likes this trip and looks capable of better. Not a big price but he has a big chance.

Buddy One 2
ONE to miss. Tough hurdler with top-level form, but not the same force over fences. Flat winner this month and stays well but needs career best.
Down Memory Lane 3
UP and Down. Novice who won well at Navan but has struggled a little. Still unexposed and trip suits and could do better on this drop in class.
Three Card Brag 3
CARD sharp. Didn't enjoy the Grand National last time but still early days over fences and has more to offer.
Chemical Energy 2
CHEMICAL reaction. Runner-up in National Hunt Chase in 2023 but hit and miss since. Looks on the downgrade now and hard to fancy on recent evidence.

Ashdale Bob 2
BOB not job. Capable on his day around this trip and Harrington runners always respected. Modest run last time and needs to improve on that.
Jazzy Matty 3
WELCOME Matty. Won the Grand Annual at Cheltenham and stays this trip well. Pulled up last time but could bounce back. Best form on decent ground. Not discounted.

Anyway 4
WAY can pay. Improving chaser who was second at the Cheltenham Festival and won well at Kilbeggan. Has a good profile and staying potential. High on the shortlist.
Common Practice 3
PRACTICE improving. Good novice win at Thurles in March over similar trip and has won well here before. One of many who are capable of better.

Thecompanysergeant 4
COMPANY profits. Good second in the Festival Plate on last spin over fences and solid run over hurdles latest. Only 2lb higher and from top yard. Contender.
Duffle Coat 2
GET me Coat. Comes here badly out of form and is struggling to finish a race. On the plus side, he was second in this last year so could bounce back now.

Shecouldbeanything 2
ANYTHING goes. Solid mare with graded chase form but only a fair run in the Irish Grand National last time out Needs to find more off current mark.
Zenta 2
ZEN won't master. Talented mare but poor jumper and flopped badly on past two outings. Needs the blinkers to wake her up again.

Adamantly Chosen 2
NOT Chosen. Has some quality and ran okay at Punchestown last time. Has come up short a few times in races like this. Pass despite Townend being up.
Sea Music 3
DEEP Sea. Won big race at Punchestown before dodgy jumping proved costly last time. Place claims if bouncing back.

Olympic Man 3
TOP Man. You never write off a Willie Mullins horse, especially off this sort of low weight and his best has come around this trip. Was poor at Sandown latest but could do better here.
Gaelic Arc 3
UPWARD Arc. Beaten in a photo last time at Killarney and has some fair handicap chase form. One of the better huge prices.

NURBURGRING
can motor to victory in the Galway Plate.
Joseph O'Brien's charge has a Galway Hurdle win on his CV and stays this trip well. He ran well at Cheltenham earlier this year and has more to come.
Western Fold
arrives in great heart after dominant wins at Tipperary and Ballinrobe. He's improving fast and could be a Grade 1 horse in time.
Zanahiyr
ran a cracker in this last year so a return to form would be no surprise.
Jesse Evans was impressive when winning a Tipperary Grade 3 hurdle last time and was a winner here over fences last season.
Others with form claims include Thecompanysargeant and Anyway.
1st Nurburgring
2nd Western Fold
3rd Zanahiyr

‘I'm absolutely useless' – Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari ‘need to change driver' after Hungarian GP qualifying nightmare

LEWIS HAMILTON slammed himself as "useless" and told Ferrari to "CHANGE driver" after another nightmare qualifying saw him booted out in 12th. To make matters worse for the seven-time world champion his teammate Charles Leclerc bagged a shock pole position at the Hungaroring. And today, Rookies Gabriel Bortoleto, Isack Hadjar and Ollie Bearman all finished ahead of the British 40-year-old in Hungary. Hamilton said 'Everytime, everytime.' on his team radio as the mechanics rolled his car back into the garage. He added: "It's me every time. I'm useless, absolutely useless. Advertisement READ MORE IN F1 "The team have no problem. You've seen the car's on pole so we probably need to change driver." Told his assessment is obviously not the case, Hamilton replied: "It clearly is. I just drove terribly. It is what it is." Hamilton has not finished on the podium after 13-races since his move to Ferrari this season, meanwhile his teammate Leclerc is 30-points above him in the driver's standings. Nobody saw it coming, the first pole of the year for Leclerc, 27, to stun second-place Oscar Piastri and third-place Lando Norris in their lightning quick McLarens. Advertisement Most read in Motorsport 5 CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Leclerc's stunning lap threw a huge spanner in the works as McLaren had looked on course to line up one-two on the grid after the first two sessions. But soon they were left scratching their heads and blaming the wind, which in fairness flipped the final session on its head on the outskirts of Budapest. Advertisement Fears for F1 race with circuit damaged by raging storms as floodwater rips up part of the track Monegasque driver Leclerc even laughed when he was told on the team radio he secured pole, saying: "Whaaaaaaaaat?!" He added afterwards: 'Today I don't understand anything in Formula 1! Honestly, the whole qualifying has been extremely difficult. 'Honestly, I have no words. It's probably one of the best pole positions that I've ever had, because it's the most unexpected, for sure.' Piastri and Norris both blamed the wind, with the Brit saying: 'From how our form is, then of course (it's disappointing), but I think Charles did a good job on the last lap. Advertisement 'He probably risked a little bit more in these conditions. The wind changed a lot and it really seemed to punish us in a bigger way it seems.' Aussie driver Piastri added: "I think the wind changed a lot. It always sounds so pathetic, blaming things on the wind, but the wind basically did a 180 from Q1 to Q3.' There was more frustration for Mercedes as Italian 18-year-old Kimi Anontelli was out in Q2, having to settle for 15th on the grid for Sunday's race. Meanwhile, George Russell gave Toto Wolff's team a glimmer of hope, lining up in fourth-place on the grid for the race while Mac Verstappen who has been struggling all weekend came in eighth. Newcastle make Benjamin Sesko bid with Alexander Isak's future ‘complex'

Newcastle have made an official bid to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko after boss Eddie Howe admitted the situation surrounding unsettled star Alexander Isak was 'far from ideal'. All eyes are on St James' Park right now as the Premier League club look to keep the Swedish sharpshooter while also attempting to bring in a big-name striker. The PA news agency understands Newcastle have accelerated talks with Leipzig to sign Sesko – who Manchester United also have in their sights – and submitted an offer reportedly worth up to £69.7million. The development comes after the Magpies rejected a £110m bid for Isak on Friday from Liverpool, who recently beat them to the signing of Frankfurt frontman Hugo Ekitike. Alexander Isak scored in Newcastle's Carabao Cup final win against Liverpool (Owen Humphreys/PA) 'I think from my situation, I am very much removed from everything that is happening back home,' Newcastle boss Howe said on Isak. 'I was made aware that there was a bid yesterday. That bid was turned down all before I even heard about it, so I think there's people back in England dealing with the situation. 'I really don't know what's going to happen next, but from our perspective we still support Alex in every way, and my wish is still that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again.' Isak did not travel to Asia for Newcastle's pre-season tour due to what the club called a 'minor thigh injury', only for talk of his unhappiness to emerge. My wish is still that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again Howe admitted 'you don't know what's going to happen from this point' and, surprisingly, that he found out that the 25-year-old was training with former club Real Sociedad through the media. 'I know where he is, really, through the media, so I think from that perspective it's difficult for me to go into any kind of detail,' the Newcastle boss said. 'The situation is far from ideal and it is quite complex. I think that's all I have got to say.' Howe was speaking at a press conference in Seoul previewing a friendly against Tottenham and was tight-lipped when quizzed on Newcastle's pursuit of Slovenia international Sesko. Newcastle and Manchester United are both pursuing Benjamin Sesko (Bradley Collyer/PA) The manager said 'he can't talk about individual targets' in the wake of reports in the striker's homeland overnight claiming that the 22-year-old wants to move to St James' Park rather than Old Trafford. Newcastle have now reportedly made a 75m euros (£65.4m) bid to Leipzig, with a further 5m euros (£4.3m) in potential add-ons. Howe said: 'We are looking for the best players that we can get. Whatever our target position is, we're looking for the best, so I see all situations open and available to us. 'I feel that's the only way that we're going to get to where we want to go, which is to maximise, and it's quality over quantity. It always has been. Final session out in South Korea. 👊 — Newcastle United (@NUFC) August 2, 2025 'That's always been the way that we try to work and try to recruit, and I think we've done it pretty well to this point. 'It's been a challenging summer, as you know, because we've missed out on various targets for loads of different reasons. 'But we're still very competitive and we're still in there trying to bring very good players to the club and that won't change until the window shuts.'
