ActionSA unveils service delivery tracker of City of Tshwane
The party said the tool would help residents monitor progress and failures under the multiparty administration led by Mayor Nasiphi Moya.
ActionSA currently forms part of the African National Congress (ANC)-led multiparty coalition in the capital, with its councillor, Moya, as mayor.
The party previously launched a similar app for tracking the Government of National Unity (GNU).
At a media briefing in Pretoria on Tuesday, ActionSA national chairperson, Micheal Beaumont, said the motivation for the tracker was partly due to
fighting misinformation around the coalition government.
"As a government, ActionSA wants to be held accountable. We don't want to operate in an environment where we simply engage with our voters once every five years. We believe there must be a continuous process and it starts with doing what this GNU government has not done and that's defining your priorities, which is codifying how they should be measured and putting it out there to South Africans and civil society so they can hold you accountable against those standards."

'Go to hell': Gayton claps back at Malema's legal threat
Gayton McKenzie has clapped back at Julius Malema's threat to sue him for defamation after he labelled the Economic Freedom Fighter leader 'stupid' and a 'bank robber' in a recent Facebook Live rant. The Patriotic Alliance leader – the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture – also claimed that the EFF was 'in ICU'. Speaking to EWN, Julius Malema responded to the comments made by Gayton McKenzie, whom he labelled a 'jailbird'. He said: 'I never went to jail, I never got arrested for stealing. I've never robbed anything in my entire life. Never.' 'I've never engaged with them like that. Because I showed Kenny [Kunene] the door.' Malema threatened to sue Gayton for 'damaging my image'. He continued: 'I will take him on. Don't lie about me… If you become personal, I will sue you. I don't play games.' On his X account, Gayton responded to Malema's legal threat, posting 'This one thinks he has the sole mandate to insult people. Go to hell'. In 2021, Malema sued Gayton McKenzie's right-hand man, Kenny Kunene, after the latter called him a 'cockroach' and a 'frog' during a media briefing. At the time, Kunene – a former EFF ambassador – said: 'Julius is just an irritating cockroach that now I must deal with publicly.' 'Julius is a criminal, and I'm going to show South Africans the crimes he has been involved in. I'm going to tell South Africans why I left the EFF because of this cockroach. So, I'm going to deal with this cockroach because we have given him time and respect'. In 2023, the Johannesburg High Court ordered Kunene to publicly apoligise to Malema, which he refused to do. Minister Macpherson says he has ‘great relationship' with Deputy Zikalala
JOHANNESBURG - Despite some ideological differences, Minister of Public Works Dean Macpherson said he has a 'great relationship' with his deputy, Sihle Zikalala. Macpherson replaced Zikalala as the DPWI minister following the 2024 general elections. ALSO READ: Macpherson: DA, ANC have to do things better for GNU coalition to work In the one year since the formation of the Government of National Unity (GNU), the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African National Congress (ANC) member have publicly squabbled. Due to their respective political parties, Macpherson and Zikalala stand on opposite ends of the conversation around the Expropriation Act. Earlier in 2025, Zikalala accused the new batch of DA ministers of taking credit for the previous administration's work. 'Plagiarism and data integrity are not taught at a basic education level.' Those comments were perceived to be directed at Macpherson, who doesn't have a tertiary qualification, while Zikalala has a master's degree. In an interview with EWN, Macpherson said comments made in Parliament must be taken with a pinch of salt. 'What I don't accept is people who want to continuously want to drive a wedge between myself and the deputy minister. We have a great relationship.' Macpherson said disagreements are expected when people come from different political parties.

Malema reignites war with ex-ANC MP: 'I used to send him to fetch girls'
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has reignited his long-standing feud with former African National Congress (ANC) Member of Parliament Jacob Boy Mamabolo The politician who was a guest on journalist Tshidi Madia's podcast, discussed several matters. He also shared his opinion of his former allies, including Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, Floyd Shivambu and Mamabolo. During the nearly 90-minute podcast episode, Malema weighed in on comments made by Sport, Arts, and Culture Minister and Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie. In a parliamentary sitting last year, McKenzie dismissed Ndlozi's frequent comments on education by calling him an 'ice boy.' Malema condemned the insult aimed at Ndlozi and redirected the label at Mamabolo, whom he described as his actual 'ice boy' during their youth. 'Boy Mamabolo was my ice boy. I used to send him to fetch girls, send him to buy ice, send him to go buy alcohol. He had no opinion. Even now he doesn't have an opinion, so he was useful for such things,' said the EFF leader. His remarks come after Mamabolo's failed attempt to register a new political party, Mandela for President. LONG HISTORY OF FEUDING The animosity between Malema and Mamabolo spans over a decade. In 2012, Mamabolo burned a mock coffin to celebrate Malema's expulsion from the ANC Youth League. The following year, Malema laid criminal charges after Mamabolo allegedly sent him a threatening SMS, vowing to exhume his mother's body and dump the remains at his grandmother's home in Seshego, Limpopo. Mamabolo was later released with a warning. More recently, tensions flared again when Mamabolo accused Malema of domestic abuse during a State of the Nation Address (SONA). Although Mamabolo later retracted the claims and apologised on social media, Malema and his wife filed a R2 million defamation lawsuit.
