MANCHESTER UNITED legend Wayne Rooney has landed a new job which will see him work alongside a fellow Premier League icon.
Wazza, 39, has been on the hunt for a fresh gig after departing Plymouth Argyle at Christmas.

The Red Devils icon managed just five wins in 25 games over a seven-month period.
And it marked another underwhelming dugout performance following spells at Derby, DC United and Birmingham.
Rooney has since enjoyed spending time as a pundit, working on Amazon Prime while featuring on the Stick to Football podcast.
He also captained and managed England at Soccer Aid earlier this month, scoring the fastest goal in the charity match's history before ex-United teammate Carlos Tevez banged in four to hand victory to a World XI.
However, Rooney is now truly back in the beautiful game after landing a new job.
But it is not another managerial stint for England's former captain.
Instead, Rooney has linked up with a luxury training camp for children called Football Escapes.
The company organises half-term retreats for kids and their parents in exotic locations like Cyprus, Portugal and the Maldives.
The children get to spend their time playing football and learning from legends like Rooney.
While parents have plenty of free time to rest and relax by the pool.

Now, Rooney will get his boots back on for an October retreat to Dubai, having previously worked for them during an event in February.
He will teach aspiring youngsters the ropes alongside a fellow Premier League icon in ex-Tottenham and England defender Michael Dawson.
But training with Rooney doesn't come cheap.
Football Escapes are advertising a seven-day stay for a family of four at the 5-star Jumeirah Beach Hotel for £8499 on their website – and that's BEFORE flights.
A statement read: 'By popular demand, Wayne Rooney will be returning to Dubai, alongside Michael Dawson, for a week of Football Escapes magic this October Half Term, 20th - 24th October 2025.
'The kids will train daily, in their personalised kit, with our ambassadors and UEFA-qualified coaches, building their confidence and their skills with coaching from none other than Wayne Rooney.
'Including daily coaching from Wayne Rooney, a signed shirt, our incredible Parents' Match, a medals ceremony to round off the week, and of course a stay for you and your family at the world class Jumeirah Beach Hotel Resort in Dubai.'

Brentford REJECT second Man United bid for Bryan Mbeumo worth £62.5m - after star sent 'clear message' to hand Ruben Amorim huge boost over rivals Tottenham

Manchester United have had a second bid of up to £62.5million for Bryan Mbeumo rejected by Brentford, but the winger has informed his club that he only wants to move to Old Trafford this summer. The forward has been one of United's most sought-after targets this summer, with their first bid of £55m already rejected as Ruben Amorim looks to recruit reinforcements to his struggling attack. The forward, who scored 20 Premier League goals for the Bees last term, has also accrued interest from Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham, who are now managed by former Brentford boss Thomas Frank. United's pursuit of Mbeumo had previously taken a hit when Spurs made their desire over a potential move known, and it left the player himself with a dilemma. Now, though, according to The Athletic, the Cameroonian winger has made his mind up in terms of his future - telling both Tottenham and his current club Brentford, that he will only leave west London for a move to Old Trafford. While United's second bid has been rejected, talks with Brentford continue as the Red Devils look to make a breakthrough. Ruben Amorim and Co wish to have Mbeumo in their squad for the start of pre-season, with players due to report back to Carrington from the week commencing July 7. Finding the back of the net proved to be one of the biggest problems for United last season and that is one of the reasons why Mbeumo is seen as such a priority signing by director of football Jason Wilcox and the rest of the footballing hierarchy. The Red Devils scored just 44 goals in the Premier League which was the second lowest of any non-relegated side - a record low since the division was rebranded back in 1992. Since joining for Brentford for a £5.8m transfer fee back in 2019, Mbeumo has scored 70 goals in 242 games, including 42 in 136 Premier League matches, flourishing into one of the deadliest attackers in the division. This has all come under the stewardship of Frank, who was unveiled as Tottenham's new head coach - following the sacking of Ange Postecoglou - earlier in the month, having spent nine years at the Bees, seven of which came as manager. While Mbeumo had previously expressed a preference to move to the red side of Manchester, Tottenham were willing to test that resolve following the appointment of the winger's former boss. However, following two weeks of deliberation, Mbeumo has decided that he only wants to move to United, and has informed both Frank and the Bees of that wish. The 25-year-old, who sees his contract expire next year - although Brentford have an option to extend it by 12 months - would become United's second signing of the summer behind the £62.5m Matheus Cunha if they can strike an agreement. It is understood that the salary on offer to the winger - who is believed to hope for a mammoth £250,000-a-week - at United would be higher than what Spurs can offer the forward. Mail Sport understands that the figure was quoted to the clubs who were interested in Mbeumo, although it is unclear whether United will reach it in their bid to sign him.

Meanwhile at Sporting, Gyokeres is kicking up a stink about the Portuguese club refusing to honour a gentleman's agreement to let him go this summer for £59m - instead of his release clause of £85m. The Sweden international, also a target for Manchester United and Liverpool, has long been touted as Arsenal's second choice behind Sesko. Some Arsenal fans are growing impatient with the club for not moving as swiftly in the summer market as rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea. And there is no doubt that boss Mikel Arteta himself would want to sign a centre forward before the squad fly to Singapore for their pre-season tour on July 19. But there is a distinct possibility that another frontman - neither Sesko nor Gyokeres - will be on the plane.

Brentford stand firm on Bryan Mbeumo price tag with Man Utd edging closer to signing 20-goal star

BRENTFORD are demanding Manchester United cough up £65million for Bryan Mbeumo. The Red Devils saw their second bid of £55m before add-ons of £7.5m knocked back on Friday, but remain confident of striking a deal. 3 United had already seen an opening bid of £45m rejected. Brentford are now holding out for a total package of £65m, meaning there is only a small gap in valuations at this point. As SunSport revealed earlier this month, Mbeumo's preference has always been a move to Old Trafford. That is despite departed Bees boss Thomas Frank wanting to take the Cameroon international to Tottenham. United have already spent £62.5m on Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolves as their first signing of a crucial summer. Talks are now continuing between United and Brentford over Mbeumo 's move, a deal which would smash the Bees club record sale. Ivan Toney 's £40m move to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia last summer is the biggest sale in the club's history. Mbeumo's departure will be yet another challenge for new Bees boss Keith Andrews. JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS Andrews, 44, was appointed as Frank's successor on Friday, promoted from set-piece coach to head coach. As well as stepping into Frank's shoes, the former Republic of Ireland international will have to deal with the departure of the top scorer and captain. While Mbeumo is dreaming of Old Trafford, skipper Christian Norgaard is joining Arsenal in a surprise £9.3m deal. Mbeumo's goals will be missed next season as he notched 20 times in the Premier League last term. His record put him as one of the most prolific players in the division. Only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland outscored him. The last time a United player reached at least 20 goals in a Premier League campaign was Robin van Persie. The Dutchman scored 26 times to help Sir Alex Ferguson win the 2012/13 in his final season in charge of the club. Mbeumo made the switch to England in 2019 when he joined Brentford from French outfit Troyes. He cost the Bees a then-record transfer fee of £5.8m as he helped the club reach the Premier League in his second season. In total, he has made 242 appearances for the club and scored 70 goals and provided 51 assists in all competitions. Norgaard, meanwhile, also arrived at Brentford in 2019 as he joined from Fiorentina. The 31-year-old has been ever-present in the club's midfield and is one of the most reliable members of the team. The Dane will face an awkward reunion with Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli once he completes the move. The Brazilian accused Norgaard of trying to break his leg during the Bees' visit to North London back in April. 3
