Sharks lose Bok champ for Loftus clash
The Sharks head to Loftus Versfeld riding high after a dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Munster in Durban last week, but head coach John Plumtree has to do without skipper Eben Etzebeth for the semi-final clash with the Herd.
Etzebeth was injured at training this week, so Corne Rahl has replaced the two-time Springbok world champion in the second row, while Siya Kolisi takes over the captaincy.
URC REWIND: Bulls vs Sharks
Lock Emile van Heerden also comes in for Jason Jenkins, who hasn't recovered from a knock. Deon Slabbert takes up a spot on the bench, along with centre Jurenzo Julius for Francois Venter. The rest of the lineup remains unchanged.
Jake White's Bulls dispatched Edinburgh to book a successive home semi, and boast a strong Loftus record against the Sharks in the URC (3-2).
However, recent form favours Plumtree's men, who claimed both league meetings this season, including a 29-19 upset in Pretoria.

WP Captain Zain Davids and locks Gary Porter and Alex Groves all saw yellow in the first half. The Bulls took a 38-16 lead into the sheds, but it was Province who came out stronger in the third quarter. Winger Courtnall Skosan rounded off some solid build-up play from the hosts and there were hopes of a revival. Star-studded Bulls see off brave Western Province in Currie Cup clash
Bulls Currie Cup coach Phiwe Nomlomo will be happy with their start to the season following their win over Western Province. The Bulls put in a workmanlike performance to beat a brave Western Province team 48-23 in a Currie Cup match in Cape Town on Saturday evening. Bulls coach Phiwe Nomlomo's side came into the match as heavy favourites after selecting a very strong team filled with a lot of quality and experience. While most of their United Rugby Championship players are resting or with the Springboks, they still managed to field seasoned pros such as Marvin Orie, Boeta Chamberlain and Sintu Manjezi. Province, on the other hand, fielded seven debutants in their run-on team, including a few Blitzboks, who have been roped in to bolster their squad in the absence of their Stormers and Springbok players. And it was clear from the first minute that Province were going to be under the pump, especially at set-piece time. The Bulls scored five of their six tries in the first half, dominating the collisions and getting penalties as Province tried to stop the bleeding.

Bulls bully WP with brutal forward dominance
The Bulls overpowered Western Province 48-23 in Pretoria, using their forwards to dominate territory, scrums and the scoreboard throughout. The Bulls wasted no time asserting their dominance, scoring from a rolling maul through hooker Joe van Zyl in the fifth minute. WP responded with a penalty by Kyle Smith, but Zain Davids' yellow card left them exposed against the relentless Bulls' pack. Scrumhalf Zak Burger took full advantage of the overlap, darting over for the Bulls' second try after continuous attacking pressure built. The Pretoria men conceded a restart penalty, allowing Smith to close the gap again before Shilton van Wyk struck for WP. Van Wyk intercepted a loose pass and sprinted away to score against the run of play, energising the home crowd briefly. However, the Bulls hit back with another powerful maul and Sintu Manjezi powered over to silence the fans once again. Province's discipline collapsed under pressure, losing both locks to yellow cards as the Bulls' scrum turned the screw with clinical precision. Jeandré Rudolph picked up the fourth try off a dominant scrum, as WP were reduced to six forwards and little resistance. Despite Chris Smit's yellow card for cynical play, the Bulls stayed in control as Burger scored again before halftime approached. Boeta Chamberlain then slotted a penalty just before the break to stretch the lead to a comfortable 22-point advantage. Province looked sharper after the restart and Courtnall Skosan finished a flowing move to add some hope for the hosts. But Rudolph had the final say, collecting his second try after slick interplay near the line broke WP's fragile defence wide open. Chamberlain punished WP further with a late penalty in the 78th minute, closing out a complete and ruthless Bulls performance.
