Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 'destructive' move after making 'veiled threats'

Daily Mirror16 hours ago
A royal commentator believes that if the Sussexes drop anymore bombshells about the Firm, they would go unnoticed by the royal family and fans alike, given their 'villain' status in the eyes of the public
A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'destroyed themselves' by relentlessly criticising the royal family when they first stepped back from the Firm.

Meghan has long claimed that she has proof of her turbulent time as a working royal in the form of 'receipts', occasionally teasing that she would release the proof in another bombshell move against the monarchy.

However, while peace talks between Prince Harry and King Charles may be going on behind the scenes, a royal expert has claimed that the royal family at large would not be 'scared' of any more public jabs.

Jack Royston told The Sun's Royal Exclusive show that it 'wouldn't matter' if the Sussexes yet again spoke publicly against the Firm, given their "villain" status both in the UK and America.
Royston also believed that Meghan's claims of having 'receipts' about the royals could be her way of controlling a misconstrued narrative that was put across during the bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah.

He said: "The problem is with the way Harry and Meghan piled in quite relentlessly on the royals. Particularly, I do think the Oprah interview, they did botch it... it could have been done differently and better in a way that would be less toxic and destructive.
"The racism allegation, they have clearly tried to change it retrospectively or row it back. So, obviously, Meghan botched how she described that story.
"But there's always been this thing that Meghan's kind of intimated that she's got receipts, that was in the days after Oprah, one of her friends went on ITV and said, 'we've got the receipts to prove everything'.

"There was also a point where she was giving an interview and she said 'I've never signed anything, so I can say whatever I want'. So, she's always had this tendency to give these kind of slightly veiled threats that she's sitting on this bombshell.
"There was one point I think they suggested they'd found their diaries that they kept during these periods. They've always been floating these ideas that they're sitting on a kind of a massive nuclear warhead that they can drop at any point."

Despite the claims of such evidence, Royston believes that both the royal family and royal fans would be quick to dismiss any further claims given their drastically reduced public support.
"Ultimately, they destroyed themselves by the way they basically relentlessly attacked Harry's own family in a context where no-one was fighting back," he continued.
"And so, they may well still be sitting on unused material that Harry says he'll never share. But it doesn't matter anymore because even if they did, they're so uniformly viewed as the villains, particularly in Britain, but even in America, they're not viewed in this protective way anymore.
"So, even if they are sitting on some unexploded bombs, I don't actually think that the royals need to be too scared of it."

Rihanna 'set to tour again after cancelling London dates' as she prepares to welcome third child

Rihanna is reportedly set to tour again after cancelling a string of dates in London which were meant to take place this summer. The singer, 37, who is currently preparing to welcome her third child with her partner ASAP Rocky, has now rearranged the shows. According to reports, she had been rumoured to be planning a six-concert residency in London in July to mark her return to music. It was later reported that Rihanna pulled out of the proposed gigs at West Ham's stadium in a secret meeting last week in March, just before they were set to be publicly confirmed. The tour is now set to be back on for 2026, The Sun reports, which will mark her first UK shows since 2016. A source told the newspaper: 'But Rihanna and her team are now confident they can make it work for next year.' They added: 'The dates will also coincide with the tenth anniversary of [her last album] Anti, and fans can expect to hear her new music too. 'Rihanna might be pregnant with her third baby but she is the ultimate working mum and has the support of her partner ASAP Rocky.' Daily Mail has contacted Rihanna's representatives for comment. Music insiders previously claimed to The Telegraph that Rihanna was lining up shows at London Stadium for July 4 and 5, with other possible concerts set for July 8, 9, 11 and 12. A second source told the publication that her promoters were 'holding' the arena - formerly the Olympic Stadium - for her, with preparations in the advance planning stages. The run of concerts would've been Rihanna's first in almost a decade, after the release of her last album Anti in 2016. The Umbrella hitmaker finally confirmed her ninth album was on its way in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in February. She sent fans wild as she teased she's 'cracked the code' on her 'next body of work' and that it 'feels right.' Rihanna told the outlet: 'This time away from from music needs to count for the next thing everyone hears. It has to matter. I have to show them it was worth the wait.' The nine-time Grammy winner revealed her pregnancy news when she showed off her baby bump at the Met Gala back in May. Just last week, she dished on motherhood as she is expecting her third baby. She told Access Hollywood that her 'two princes' RZA and Riot have a ton of energy that wear her out when she attended the Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles. She is the voice actor for Smurfette in the new animated musical-comedy film and brought along her kids for the red carpet event ahead of the movie's release. It comes just days after the singer attended her father's funeral in her native country of Barbados - after he passed away at the age of 70 on May 30 following a battle with pancreatic cancer and accompanying complications. During an interview with Extra at the Smurfs premiere, she opened up about her little ones joining her at the screening. 'I'm excited for tonight. Tonight is going to be fun. We get to watch the movie together for the first time. I get to watch it in its full completion. So, that should be interesting,' she expressed.

Love Island's Helena breaks silence as she reveals plans for date with unlikely Islander

Dumped Love Island star Helena Ford has said she's looking forward to a double date with a very unlikely contestant after her whirlwind journey in the villa Love Island contestant Helena Ford has spoken for the first time since being dumped from the villa, confirming she intends to remain friends with former partner Harry Cooksley and has even made plans for a double date with him, Meg and Dejon once filming is over. ‌ Helena was eliminated on Thursday night alongside Blu, with whom she was in a friendship couple. The exit followed a turbulent few weeks in which she and Harry went exclusive before he ended their relationship to pursue fellow Islander Shakira Khan. ‌ Despite the breakup, Helena said she wanted to maintain a friendship with Harry. It comes after there was even more chaos in the villa as another couple was dumped just moments after a romantic final date. ‌ 'I don't regret saying we would be friends because I was accepting of the situation and starting to move on from it,' she said in her exit interview. 'The main thing for me wasn't losing the relationship, it was losing our friendship as we had such a great connection. I wanted to still be around him and not avoid him.' Helena explained she believed the dynamic between them would improve away from the pressures of the villa. 'Without the pressure of being in the Villa and seeing each other on the outside, we will be friends. Me, Meg, D and him had already made plans to do things as a four. We have so many similarities, which was why we got on in the first place.' ‌ She also addressed the backlash Harry has faced from viewers over his handling of the situation. 'Actions will always have consequences but I would still back him in some situations as he is remorseful,' she said. 'I don't think he is a bad person, I just don't think he knows how to handle certain things.' ‌ Helena's softer side was highlighted during her on‑screen exit when, after hugging her fellow Islanders, she offered Harry a short but notable parting message. 'Look after Shakira,' she told him. The gesture came despite previous tensions between Helena and Shakira, as well as an ongoing feud between Shakira and Helena's friend Meg, which has been described as one of the 'biggest feuds in Love Island history.' ‌ Harry had admitted to still having feelings for Shakira even while exclusive with Helena, which contributed to the breakdown of their relationship inside the villa. Helena's comment was praised by some viewers on social media for showing grace in a difficult moment. 'Whatever you think of Helena, her walking out by saying to Harry 'be good to Shakira' is lovely. She's not the mean girl a lot of people try to make her out to be,' one fan wrote on X.

Kerry Katona and Katie Price 'desperate' for daughters to do I'm A Celebrity

Kerry Katona and Katie Price appear to be following in Kris Jenner's footsteps and have already mapped out their daughters' rise to fame with a huge reality show Katie Price and Kerry Katona could soon find themselves replacing original momager, Kris Jenner. Former singer Kerry and her glamour model icon Katie have appeared on dozens of reality shows over the course of their careers and now, they've set their sights on their daughters following in their showbiz footsteps. ‌ It comes as no surprise that the daughters of two of the most recognisable women in the nation have allegedly been flooded with offers in the past to appear on various shows and now, Kerry admits it's something she's keen for her daughter Heidi to do, alongside Katie's daughter, Princess Andre. ‌ While Princess has bagged her own reality show, which Katie has spoken openly about, Kerry admits that she would love to see Heidi and Princess appear alongside one another on a completely different show. It comes after Katie Price worries fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss. ‌ The two stars met on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, of which Kerry won, she hopes that the pair will one day find themselves in the jungle together. "I'm desperate for Princess and Heidi to do the Jungle together, imagine," Kerry said. In a joint interview with The Sun, Katie added: "I always say Love Island. Heidi and Princess need to do it together." ‌ Kerry commented: "The way I see it is, forget management, forget fame, what an amazing memory, what an amazing adventure. So I think if Heidi goes to Love Island for three months and has the best time then that's amazing." Meanwhile, she added that while people may be quick to criticise their children for being "nepo-babies", she admits that everybody has a contact, somewhere. She commented: "I can open a door for you. Whether you get through that door and you stay through it, that's on your own f****ing merit. You don't see Brooklyn Beckham playing f****ing football, because he's sh*t." But Heidi isn't the only one of Kerry's daughters that she's encouraging to appear on Love Island. ‌ Speaking to the Mirror, she previously said: "Do Love Island make a sh*t load of money, Lilly!" Meanwhile, Katie has opened up about Princess's upcoming show. Speaking to her sister, Sophie, on their podcast, she said: "Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me. "Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me." ‌ "You aren't on brand, Katie. You are too risky, Katie, that's why," her sister retorted. "It's pathetic. I'm her mother," Katie snapped. "It's so sad," she lamented. "When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after..." Katie was then cut off by her sister Sophie, who encouraged her to "save it for another day." The MailOnline reported that dad Peter Andre and his wife Emily will be featured but Katie will be taking a back seat. A source said: "Katie will not be in Princess's show, the decision has been made and it's final. Princess loves her mum, and they have a great relationship, but the show is all about her work and home life. "Television bosses were adamant that nothing was to be 'staged' to include Katie as it would not be a real and truthful insight into her life." The show will follow Princess up to her turning 18 in June.
