Special show to celebrate Glasgow-based jazz musicians
It has been added to the lineup as part of the Glasgow 850 celebrations, with the festival fund providing financial backing.

Nathan Somevi, a Ghanaian-born British musician, honed his musical talents in the vibrant atmosphere of church performances during his upbringing. Inspired by his roots, he embarked on a musical journey enriched by diverse influences and has found a musical home in Glasgow.
He will perform as a trio with Niall Ford (keyboards) and Kenny Lyons (drums) as he melds global influences to produce dynamic sounds.
Azamiah are a Glasgow-based nu-jazz band, with members from France, London and Stonehaven, who have been nestled within the burgeoning music scene of Glasgow and Scotland since 2020. Through their music, Azamiah brings a healing experience, taking audiences on a journey across moody and light landscapes.
The concert will also feature AKU! comprising Harry Weir, Graham Costello and Liam Shortall who swapped Birmingham, East Renfrewshire and Dumfries and Galloway for Glasgow to pursue their passion. A sax-bone-drums trio, AKU! combine hardcore, afrobeat, breakbeats and jazz music, inspired by the likes of Fela Kuti and Deftones.
Mr McCreadie said: 'This is such an exciting programme for me and I can't wait to watch it! Glasgow is an amazing place to be a jazz musician right now – it's been so exciting to see the scene develop over the past 10 years and these three bands are a great marker of that continual improvement."

Jo Whiley felt ‘tingles' when Oasis played in her studio for first time
Whiley and co-presenter Steve Lamacq played Columbia by Oasis on their Radio 1 Evening Session in 1993 – the first time the band was ever played on the radio. She said she felt 'tingles' when the group, fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, then went on to play a live session in the studio. Ahead of their reunion tour, which kicks of on Friday, Whiley reminisced about the early days of the Manchester-based band with fellow DJ Sara Cox, who was standing in for Scott Mills on his Radio 2 breakfast show. Whiley said: 'I remember our producers said (then-Oasis manager) Alan McGee has got this record. It's really good. 'He says this band are amazing, you've got to play it.' Whiley said the song was Columbia, adding: 'Then they came in and did a session. It was so beautiful, you can just see the star quality. 'You could feel the charisma and the tension between the brothers. 'They did Live Forever, and it was unbelievable. 'I'm going to play that on my show tonight because we're doing this big Oasis show this evening. 'I just remember sitting there, watching them, listening to Liam singing Live Forever, and just thinking tingles, proper tingles, I'll never forget it.' Cox joked about how it was down to Whiley that Oasis have reformed after she suggested to Liam when he came on her radio show in more recent years that he call Noel. Stars return to Royal Box as Wimbledon welcomes back the sunshine
Blue skies and 24C temperatures returned to the All England Club after a soggy Wednesday, with fans quick to swap ponchos for sunhats and take advantage of ideal conditions on court. Among the guests in the Royal Box were adventurer Bear Grylls, broadcaster Sir Chris Bryant and actor Rory Kinnear. Former Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden and comedian Clive Anderson were also spotted taking in the action on Centre Court. Musician-turned-environmentalist Feargal Sharkey was seated alongside Dutch tennis legend Betty Stove, who turned 80 in April and famously reached three Wimbledon finals in 1977. They were joined by a host of sporting figures including former England rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward, Olympic sprinter Donna Fraser, and incoming Lawn Tennis Association chairman William Jackson. Prince Michael of Kent led the royal contingent. The stars were there to see Novak Djokovic face off against British Dan Evans on Centre Court, before Iga Swiatek takes on American qualifier Caty McNally. Top seed Jannik Sinner took on Aleksandar Vukic of Australia on No 1 Court, followed by Mirra Andreeva's match against Italy's Lucia Bronzetti. Later in the day, Maria Sakkari is scheduled to play 2022 champion Elena Rybakina, and British hope Jack Draper will face former US Open winner Marin Cilic.
