
Mubadala Launches its Latest National Champion – 'Mubadala Bio' to Transform Life Sciences in the UAE and Beyond
Mubadala Bio's integrated portfolio includes 10 facilities spans across Asia, Africa and Europe (with 6 located within the Emirates), serving over 100 countries. Across these sites, the cumulative manufacturing capacity of its facilities exceeds 2.5 billion tablets and capsules, 120 million IVs and injectables annually, and spans 110,000 square meters – enabling the production and global distribution of more than 10,000 products. Space42 secures $695.5mln facility to fund UAE satellites
The Abu Dhabi-listed Space42 has secured a $695.5 million Export Credit Agency (ECA)-backed financing facility to fund the development of UAE's next-generation geostationary satellites, Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5. The AI-powered SpaceTech firm, which is backed by Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala, G42 and the International Holding Company, said the facility has been arranged by Crédit Agricole CIB, Santander CIB, Societe Generale, and Natixis and backed by Bpifrance Assurance Export. Space42 said the facility will provide long-term financing that is aligned with its satellite development timeline, whilst strengthening its liquidity position to support future growth. The Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5 programme is underpinned by a 17-year, $5.1 billion government contract commencing in 2026, with the satellites scheduled for launch in 2027 and 2028. Space42 debuted on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in October following the merger of Bayanat and Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat).

Abu Dhabi has launched the Al Maryah Waterfront project, a new attraction that will blend technology, design, and culture with a luminous 30-meter sphere and 1,000 AI-powered water jets choreographed to music. Mubadala Investment Company PJSC (Mubadala), on Sunday announced the official commencement of the Al Maryah Waterfront enhancement project, a monumental development that will transform Al Maryah Island lifestyle offerings and experiences, while further bolstering Abu Dhabi's standing as a premier global destination. The project will deliver a suite of world-class features and amenities meticulously designed to elevate the guest experience and unlock new opportunities for lifestyle, entertainment and engagement. At the heart of the project is a 30-metre-tall luminous sphere, enveloped in flowing water and set within the bay, surrounded by over a 1000 AI-powered jets of water soaring more than 75 meters skyward in dazzling choreography to music by acclaimed composer Ramin Djawadi. These features are designed by WET, the premier water design firm in the world. The development also includes: A sea boardwalk extension providing the guests access to the water's edge A shaded outdoor cooling system, enhancing comfort during hot seasons New F&B zones and event-ready public spaces elevating the guest experience The groundbreaking was officiated by Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, Mubadala's Deputy Group CEO, who was joined by Dr Bakheet Al Katheeri, CEO of UAE Investments, as they jointly broke ground to mark the start of the project.
