Snoafers, a Hybrid Sneaker-Loafer, Become Footwear's Hottest Trend

Bloomberg14 hours ago
In the world of fashion hybrids, there are skorts (shorts that look like skirts), jeggings (leggings made of stretch denim) and shackets (shirt-jackets). The latest style mash-up: snoafers.
One of the biggest trends in footwear combines the cushioned sole of a sneaker with the upper of a loafer, for a comfortable business-casual shoe that is meant to be worn anywhere. Although their divisive appearance initially generated backlash, snoafers have emerged as a viral breakout category for major sneaker brands including New Balance, Hoka and Puma, selling out quickly and landing on online marketplaces at wildly inflated prices since last year.

Travis Kelce Comes Clean About 'Craziest Thing' He's Faced Dating Taylor Swift

It's been nearly two years since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce broke the internet after going public with their relationship, and now the Kansas City Chiefs player is coming clean about the 'craziest thing' he's faced dating the high-profile pop star. While appearing on the 'Bussin' With the Boys' podcast Monday, Kelce opened up about being bombarded incessantly by paparazzi since he and Swift became an item. 'That's probably the only thing I didn't really grasp until you're in it,' he said. 'That's probably the craziest part, though. Like, I'm just playing golf, and all of the sudden in the trees, there's just a fucking guy with a camera. Like, ah, shit. I gotta go to the restroom now.' Kelce then noted that he 'can't just go over here and take a piss' while being watched by so many photographers, adding, 'Just don't want my meat on Page Six, know what I mean?' Elsewhere in the episode, which aired Tuesday, Kelce shut down criticism that he and Swift are 'trying to seek attention' amid their string of recent public outings during the NFL offseason. 'We're having fun with it, being a couple,' Kelce told hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. The two have been spending a chunk of their time in Florida in recent months, where Kelce reportedly rented a $20 million mansion in Boca Raton for his offseason NFL training. 'We're just enjoying life and having fun, going to hockey games,' Kelce added. '[I'm] kind of trying to introduce her to some of the sports world that she hasn't really [experienced].' 16 Best Prime Day Sneaker Sales, According to a Running-Obsessed Editor

You might associate Prime Day with major savings on tech or everyday essentials—and you wouldn't necessarily be wrong. But as a running-obsessed editor, I can tell you that sneakers are one of the most underrated categories to shop during Prime Day. A full week ahead of time, Amazon quietly marked down so many shoes—including editor-loved brands like Brooks, New Balance, Adidas, and more. Ahead of your vacation, workout classes, and hot girl walks, you can swap your worn-down kicks for a fresh new pair, sans the hefty price tag. Right now, the best early deals are on running shoes, in particular. (We're talking $40 off the best-selling Brooks Ghost 16, which is perfect for everyday jogs, incline walking, and days when you're on your feet for hours.) Or, score a fresh pair of sneakers like these Nike Gamma Force kicks for 37% off while they're still in stock in all sizes. While you could wait until Prime Day (July 8-11, FYI!) to shop, it may be harder to find your size and fave color in stock once the actual event begins—so shop my personal favorite sneaker finds early, below.
