Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut in Santosh Singh's upcoming romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan opposite Vikrant Massey. Since the trailer was dropped, the film has created a significant buzz among the fans, as they cannot wait any longer to watch Shanaya on the big screen.
On June 26, the debutante took to social media to share glimpses of a promotional event for her upcoming film. Shanaya shared a picture with co-star Vikrant Massey as they posed in front of their film banner. Shanaya was looking chic in a white lace mini dress, which she paired with silver strappy heels. On the other hand, Vikrant opted for a casual, laid-back look with black trousers and a matching graphic tee, which he paired with a denim jacket and white sneakers.
Shanaya's post was accompanied by a track from their film, titled Nazara. Soon after sharing the pictures, B-Town celebrities and fans took to the comments to congratulate her. Ananya Pandey, Deanne Pandey and Maheep Kapoor were seen commenting on her post along with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan director Santosh Singh and cinematographer Tanveer Mir.
Previously, the actress shared a few behind-the-scenes moments, building excitement for her highly anticipated debut. Taking to Instagram, Shanaya posted a reel showcasing the challenging first outdoor shoot of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. In the video, Shanaya was donning a red dress while being covered in a puffer jacket to beat the cold weather. Her co-star Vikrant Massey was seen motivating her to stay calm in the cold while she was jumping in excitement.
Based on Ruskin Bond's short story The Eyes Have It, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan tells a beautiful love story between a visually impaired musician (played by Vikrant Massey) and a theatre artist (played by Shanaya Kapoor). According to a press release, 'The film explores the themes of resilience, passion and the indomitable human spirit, all set to a beautiful musical backdrop." Produced by Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla under ZED Studios and Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is set to hit the theatres on July 11.
