Report: Undrafted Kansas State star Coleman Hawkins to play Summer League with Warriors
Following the close of the 2025 NBA draft, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Steve Kerr have been busy filling the Golden State Warriors training camp and summer league roster with undrafted free agents.
After inking both L.J. Cryer and Chance McMillian to deals after the draft, the Warriors reportedly landed another former college hoops star.
According to Bryan Kalbrosky of USA TODAY's FTW, former Kansas State and Illinois standout Coleman Hawkins is set to play for the Warriors during the Summer League.
According to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68, Hawkins is also expected to attend training camp with the Warriors.
Hawkins starred at Illinois for four seasons before transferring to Kansas State to play for Jerome Tang. In his only season at Kansas State, the 6-foot-10 forward averaged 10.7 points on 40.1% shooting from the field to go along with 30.3% from deep. Hawkins added 6.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game.
Alongside Cryer, McMillian and second-round picks Alex Toohey and Will Richard, Hawkins will have the Summer League and training camp to compete for a roster spot with the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the sixth of nine players who wore the No. 16 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State guard alum Jim Phelan. After ending his college career at La Salle, Phelan was picked up with the 78th overall selection (there were many more rounds in that era of the draft) of the 1951 NBA draft by the (then) Philadelphia (now, Golden State) Warriors. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native would play the only season of his pro career with the Dubs, retiring from the league as a player afterward. Angel Reese extends double-double streak with season-high 24 points in Sky's win over Sparks
The Chicago Sky got back to winning on Sunday, and Angel Reese's big day on both sides of the ball was a main reason behind the 92-85 win over the Los Angeles Sparks. Reese was close to a triple-double after tallying 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists over her 38 minutes on the court for Chicago. Reese was leading the WNBA in rebounds entering this game (12.3), and she notched another game of at least 16 rebounds, marking four straight games doing so. This is also Reese's fourth straight double-double and her 36th in her first 50 career games. It was a season high with 24 points due to an efficient day shooting, as Reese went 10-of-19 from the field, while knocking down all four of her free throw attempts. Then, on the defensive end, Reese added two blocks and one steal for the Sky. But it wasn't just Reese putting in work in this high-scoring game. Guard Ariel Atkins went 7-of-12 from the field to add 20 points, while Rachel Banham (13 points, four assists) and Elizabeth Williams (12 points, nine rebounds, three steals) also handled business among the starting five. Off the bench, Kia Nurse knocked down three three-point attempts to add to her 14 points. For the Sparks, star point guard Kelsey Plum struggled from the field, though she was cashing in from the charity stripe, going 12-for-12 there. However, she went 4-of-16 shooting, including 2-of-9 from three-point land for 22 points. She had seven assists and five rebounds as well. Dearica Hamby added a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Azura Stevens collected 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. Hudson Standish of 247Sports made that critique of the new 'Bama commit.
