This ‘fake' cardiologist's last 5 patients died on the SAME DAY! Who is Dr John Camm?
Yadav posed as 'Dr John Camm', a top UK-based heart specialist, and has been accused of performing medical procedures without valid licence.
The accused, as per inspection records presented before the Madhya Pradesh assembly, was performing crucial angioplasty operations under a false identity. The fake cardiologist performed 12 such operations at Mission Hospital in Damoh district between January 2 and February 11.
As per sources quoted by The Indian Express, five of these patients died during the same day as the angioplasty — two during the procedure and three soon after it.
The five patients 'treated' by Yadav, aged between 51 and 75, died one after the other in a span of just one month, the state assembly was informed.
The death of these patients has raised serious questions about how the fake cardiologist was hired and allowed to conduct operations without proper supervision.
The newspaper further stated in its report that Yadav fled after operating on his last patient and resigned from the hospital, taking a portable echo machine with him.
The five patients who died on the same day after being operated on by Yadav include: Raheesa Begum (63) — treated on January 15
Israel Khan (75) — treated on January 17
Buddha Ahirwar (67) — treated on January 25
Mangal Singh Rajput (65) — treated on February 2
Satyendra Singh Rathore (51) — treated on February 11
Deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla on Friday told the MP assembly that he hospital had failed to inform health authorities about Yadav's appointment, violating provisions under Madhya Pradesh Nursing Homes and Clinical Establishments (Registration and Licensing) Act.
The government, therefore, had no scope to verify Yadav's credentials and the authenticity of his medial profession claims.
The fake cardiologist is now under judicial custody, after being arrested in April this year. The charges Yadav is facing include fraud, impersonation, and culpable homicide among others.

HC frees Margadarsi from criminal liability in 18-yr-old case
Hyderabad: In a major relief to the successors of the Margadarsi group, founded by the late media baron Ch Ramoji Rao, Telangana high court on Monday quashed the criminal cases filed against Margadarsi Financiers by the former Andhra Pradesh govt in 2008. A division bench comprising Justice P Sam Koshy and Justice K Sujana ruled that the case stood abated following the death of Ramoji Rao last year. The court held that in the absence of the main accused, further prosecution of the company could not continue effectively. The ruling thus brings a long-pending legal battle to a close, nearly 18 years after the original case was filed. The firm, however, argued that it was functioning as a Hindu joint family business, which is not prohibited under law, and that the restrictions cited in the RBI Act applied only to non-banking financial companies. The RBI opposed this argument, asserting that the charges were against the corporate entity, not just Ramoji Rao. It said the business operations of Margadarsi Financiers were still active, and the legal question of whether it had accepted deposits in violation of the RBI Act remained unresolved. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Biggest Real Estate Discounts Ever at M3M India. Margadarsi was represented by a team of senior advocates, including S Nagamurthy, Mukul Rohatgi, and Siddharth Luthra. The RBI was represented by senior counsel L Ravichander, and the AP govt by public prosecutor Palle Nageshwar Rao. The high court also closed the petitions filed by the current management of the company seeking to be made parties in the case. Since the main petition was allowed and the criminal cases quashed, their applications were declared closed.

Bangkok cartel using airport-hopping tactics to smuggle marijuana: DRI official
Bhubaneswar: With Odisha being targeted as a potential destination for hydroponic marijuana, a Bangkok-based drug cartel is using airport-hopping tactics to smuggle the contraband into the state, a senior official of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) told TOI on condition of anonymity. After two failed attempts at Bhubaneswar's Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), carriers are now suspected to be rerouting consignments through airports like Jharsuguda, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru to avoid detection. "Once they escape scrutiny at any of these airports, they use other modes of transport to deliver the consignment. Last month, a marijuana consignment was seized at Kolkata airport," the official said. In two recent busts, hydroponic marijuana worth a total of Rs 40 crore was seized. The carriers in both cases were unrelated and came from different states—three from Uttar Pradesh in the first case, and one from Gujarat in the second. "The carriers are only handed an air ticket at Bangkok airport and are instructed to carry the consignment. While they are aware of the contents, they never admit it when caught," the official said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Why is everyone rushing to get their hands on this new air cooler? News of the Discovery Undo Explaining the smuggling strategy, he added, "If a carrier is given a ticket to Bengaluru, they have no choice but to board that flight. After landing, their task is to evade airport scanners and security checks. This is how the airport-hopping tactic works. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they don't." On Sunday, DRI sleuths further revealed that hydroponic marijuana from Thailand—often dubbed the 'poor man's cocaine'—is becoming increasingly popular at rave parties in Bhubaneswar due to its affordability and powerful hallucinogenic effects. Unlike regular marijuana, this soil-free variant contains about 30% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), compared to just 3% in the common strain, making it far more potent. Based on interrogation of the arrested carriers, investigators are now trying to trace the main operatives involved in the cartel, both in Bangkok and Bhubaneswar, including the hotels they frequent and the local distribution network.
