North Koreans WEEP As Kim Jong-un Kneels Before Coffins Of Troops Killed In Russia's War
Iran's top military commander has warned that the Islamic Republic does not trust Israel to honor the current ceasefire, just six days after a brutal 12-day air war. In a call with Saudi Arabia's defense minister, Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi said Iran remains on alert and ready to respond with force if provoked. The conflict, which began with Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites, killed top commanders and triggered a massive Iranian missile-and-drone retaliation that left dozens dead in Israel. Despite the truce, both sides are bracing for further escalation as distrust and regional tensions remain high.#IranChinaDeal #MiddleEastTensions #AirPowerShift #MilitaryStrategy #Geopolitics #DefenseNews #GlobalSecurity #J10C #ChengduJ10C #FighterJets #AirForceModernization #IranIsraelConflict #PersianGulfCrisis #IranAirForce #IDFStrikes

FATF Team To Visit Pakistan Amid Terror Funding, Hawala Networks Complaints: Source
The upcoming review will assess Pakistan's compliance with 34 action points agreed upon with FATF and APG in 2022 A delegation from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), along with the Asia Pacific Group (APG), is likely to visit Pakistan in August for a monitoring and evaluation review, following multiple complaints to FATF regarding Islamabad's alleged role in terror financing and the resurgence of grey money markets. A senior FATF source told CNN-News18 that the watchdog has raised concerns over Pakistan emerging as a hub for hawala-hundi operations, with Afghan and Iranian smugglers reportedly using its grey markets to transfer US dollars. The source further said that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is allegedly manipulating foreign exchange dealers to carry out large, illegal transactions outside formal banking systems. The upcoming review will assess Pakistan's compliance with 34 action points agreed upon with FATF and APG in 2022. During the visit, the team is also expected to meet senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, State Bank of Pakistan, Securities and Investment Finance Commission (SIFC), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), intelligence agencies, and other key institutions. According to intelligence reports, Pakistan's security agencies, including the ISI, Military Intelligence (MI), and the Intelligence Bureau (IB), are allegedly involved in hawala operations. The reports further claim that in the last two weeks, senior Pakistani army intelligence officers, including ISI Director General Major General Faisal Naseer, met with forex dealers in an attempt to hide financial trails and avoid potential disclosures to FATF inspectors. Additionally, New Delhi has filed several complaints with FATF, especially after the Pahalgam terror attack in April 22, the source revealed. The most recent complaint relates to a public post by Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on social media platform X. In the post, Naqvi accused a senior government official in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) of paying ransom money to the Taliban. The post was made in response to KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur's criticism of ISI operations and potential military action in the province. The FATF visit in August will be critical. The outcomes of its preliminary assessment will determine whether Pakistan once again risks being placed on the FATF 'grey list'. The country has previously been grey-listed three times: from February 2008 to June 2010, February 2012 to February 2015, and from June 2018 to October 2022. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. US Threatens More Tariffs On China Over Russian Oil Purchases: ‘Be Ready For...'
Last Updated: US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned China about tariffs for buying sanctioned Russian oil. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he warned Chinese officials that continued purchases of sanctioned Russian oil could trigger punitive tariffs, citing legislation currently moving through the US Congress. In response, Beijing firmly asserted its commitment to protect its energy sovereignty, refusing to shift course on its oil sourcing strategy. Scott Bessent said, as per Reuters, that he had also raised concerns over China's ongoing imports of Iranian oil and over $15 billion worth of dual-use technology exports to Russia, which the US says are helping to sustain Moscow's war against Ukraine. 'So I think anyone who buys sanctioned Russian oil should be ready for this," he said. US Congress Pushes For Tariffs Scott Bessent's warning follows a move by US lawmakers to authorize President Donald Trump to impose tariffs as high as 500% on countries continuing to purchase sanctioned Russian oil. A secondary tariff of 100% is expected to be imposed in the next 10 to 12 days if Moscow fails to make concrete progress toward a Ukraine peace deal- a deadline Donald Trump accelerated earlier. According to Scott Bessent, the legislation is designed not just to punish violators, but to pressure US allies to adopt similar measures that would choke off Russia's energy revenues, a key funding source for its war effort. China Pushes Back Scott Bessent said Beijing made it clear that it considers oil purchases a matter of national sovereignty, with decisions based on internal economic and energy policy, not foreign pressure. He said, 'China was very clear. They said they are a sovereign nation with energy needs, and their purchasing decisions will reflect that."
