Wright State will face Vanderbilt in the Nashville Regional Friday.

The Raiders (38-19) earned their bid into the NCAA Baseball Tournament after winning the Horizon League Tournament by defeating Milwaukee twice Saturday.
In the first game, the Raiders scored 13 runs to Milwaukee's four.
In the second game, the Raiders shut out Milwaukee, winning 2-0.

At noon on Monday, the team gathered to watch the NCAA Selection Show in the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.
They discovered their fate early in the show since their matchup against Vanderbilt was the first pairing revealed in the selection showcase.
The Raiders are the fourth seed in the Nashville Regional. Louisville and East Tennessee State will face off in the regional as well.

It's double elimination rules in the regional to advance to the Super Regional.
Game time has yet to be announced. News Center 7 will update this story when we learn more.

The Las Vegas Raiders continued their shocking 2025 offseason by releasing Christian Wilkins on Thursday night. One day later, the Raiders have already moved on by adding former Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Keondre Coburn in free agency. Las Vegas added Coburn via waivers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Coburn initially entered the league as a sixth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Denver Broncos before briefly returning to the Chiefs and ultimately spending the end of the 2023 season and all of 2024 with the Titans. Coburn appeared in just five games as a rookie before playing 15 games in 2024. However, he took the field for just 11 percent of Tennessee's defensive snaps, recording seven tackles on the year. While Coburn is clearly no replacement for Wilkins, he adds depth to the Raiders' offseason roster. With Wilkins gone, veteran Leki Fotu and fourth-round rookie Tonka Hemingway are likely the favorites to fill his void in the starting lineup. Releasing Wilkins was the latest move in what has been an eventful offseason for the Raiders. Since ushering in a new regime led by general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll, Las Vegas has turned its franchise around by acquiring Geno Smith and Ashton Jeanty while signing Maxx Crosby to a record-breaking extension. Raiders shake up defense by releasing Christian Wilkins By releasing Wilkins, the Raiders are changing the entire foundation of their defense. Carroll opted to retain defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, but Las Vegas returns just five defensive starters after the move. The Raiders already lost captains Robert Spillane and key starters Divine Deablo, Tre'von Moehrig, Marcus Epps and Nate Hobbs in free agency. By releasing Wilkins, one of the team's prized signings of the 2024 offseason, Spytek functionally confirmed his intention to begin his tenure with a clean slate. With just one playoff appearance in the last eight seasons, change was inevitable for the Raiders, who went just 4-13 in 2024. However, few expected such monumental adjustments in the brief period Spytek has been in charge. Although they are currently enduring one of the roughest patches in franchise history, Las Vegas fans are already excited for the 2025 season, even with the fan-favorite defensive tackle no longer in the picture. Raiders Already Done with Last Year's Big Free Agent Signing
During last year's free agency signing period, a lot of Minnesota Vikings fans. . .yours truly included. . .wanted the purple to go hard after defensive lineman Christian Wilkins to shore up the interior of the defensive line. Wilkins wound up signing a five-year, $110 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Well. . .he's available again. In a move that can charitably be described as 'shocking,' the Raiders have terminated Wilkins' contract. Wilkins played just four and a half games for the Raiders in 2024 before suffering a foot injury that ended his season. Because of the way Wilkins treated that rehab, according to the Raiders, the team feels that they're justified in voiding just over $35 million worth of the guaranteed money that Wilkins is still owed. As one wise man once said, 'There will be lawyers.' Wilkins has already filed a grievance through the NFLPA. It's worth noting that when Brian Flores became the head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2019, the first player the Dolphins drafted was. . .Christian Wilkins. I'm not saying that there's any chance he's going to find his way to Minnesota or that the Vikings are even going to pursue him. Just a little tidbit to keep in the back of your mind. Now, I'm not sure what sort of physical state Wilkins is in at this point, though it's worth noting that the Raiders did put him on the Physically Unable to Perform List when they started training camp. Of course, with the apparent acrimony between the team and the players, it's hard to tell just how far away from taking the field Wilkins might possibly be. The other important lesson to be learned here is that a team doesn't have to spend money in free agency just to spend it. As I said, I was disappointed when the Vikings didn't land Wilkins, but the Raiders backed an armored truck full of money up to his house. As it stands, the Raiders wound up paying Wilkins a shade over $29 million for what amounts to about 18 quarters of work. And if Wilkins is successful in his grievance against the Raiders, that number is going to go way up. Not a great return on investment. Raiders named potential landing spot for WR Terry McLaurin trade
Over his six NFL seasons, Terry McLaurin has been a steady presence as one of the best receivers in football. He has gone over 1000 yards in each of the past six seasons and made two Pro Bowls, including last season. And he's still in his 20s. And he just told the Commanders he wants to be traded. You see, Washington is jerking him around instead of paying him what he's worth and so he wants out. Pretty simple story, really. Teams pull this a lot and players use the one bit of leverage they have and that is to say they want out. McLaurin would instantly upgrade any wide receiver unit in football. And for the Raiders, that is something they could absolutely use. Currently they have no surefire number one receiver. Not since they traded Davante Adams early last season. And McLaurin would fill that role nicely. Nick Shook of NFL media agrees. He has the Raiders as the second team on his list of potential landing spots for McLaurin. The Raiders made two big splashes in the offseason when they traded for Geno Smith and drafted Ashton Jeanty, filling two massive needs on the offensive side of the ball. The big question mark that followed them from 2024 into 2025 still remains, though: Who will their quarterback target? Brock Bowers is already an elite tight end, but outside of Jakobi Meyers, Smith doesn't have much in the way of proven pass catchers out wide. McLaurin would answer this question emphatically. With $37.8 million in current cap space and $99.1 million to work with in 2026, they could easily fit an extension for McLaurin into their books, too. Right now the two starters along with Meyers are Tre Tucker and rookie Dont'e Thornton. While Thornton has been impressing in camp, the fourth rounder wouldn't even be in the position where he would be running with the ones if not for the Raiders overall lack of good options. Really, the best case scenario would be to let Thornton be a situational receiver for now and work his way into getting more reps. Rather than being thrust into a full time role like this. Similar could be said for Tucker who has yet to prove he is more than an occasional speedy weapon on offense. Making a move to get McLaurin would be a fantastic move for the Raiders that would make a whole lot of sense.
