Teacher accused of drugging and sexually abusing dozens of children as young as 2

New York Post6 days ago
A Nevada elementary school teacher has admitted to drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of children — including a 2-year-old neighbor, according to police.
Taji Hillson, 62, was arrested in Reno on July 2, a day after she penned an apology to a relative who accused her of sexually assaulting her 'throughout her childhood and adulthood,' according to a police report obtained by the Reno Gazette Journal.
The now-adult accuser filed a police report in April — proving text messages of the elementary school teacher admitting to 'drugging her and touching her inappropriately,' according to court documents.

'The defendant admitted to giving her [the alleged victim] Benadryl to sedate her by sneaking it in her food,' then touching the girl while she slept, police wrote in their report.
When interviewed by police on June 25, Hillson allegedly admitted abusing the woman throughout her childhood, continuing when she returned home from college in 2014 — blaming it on how 'she never felt seen and desired to be close to another person,' the court docs said.

Hillson admitted to inappropriately touching at least a dozen other children — including a 2-year-old neighbor at a local pool within the last few years, police said.
She has been charged in two of the cases, police said — stressing that none of those abused appear to be students.
'The allegations in this case are deeply disturbing,' Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks said in a statement, saying that alleged victims include 'a toddler.'

Hilson was employed at Roy Gomm Elementary School from 2022 through June 2025, according to the Reno Gazette. Police said there is no evidence that Hillson harmed any students while employed at the school, per the outlet.

Vehicle found in river north of Montreal could be linked to missing person case

MONTREAL - Police north of Montreal say a vehicle found in the Mille-Îles river on Sunday could be linked to the case of a Laval man who went missing in 1988. Deux-Montagnes police say they are looking into the discovery, reported to police by a diving group known as Exploring With a Mission. The group searches waterways for missing people and says they located a vehicle on the bottom of the river with bones inside. Group member William McIntosh says he believes the vehicle is the tan Jeep Cherokee Chief belonging to Robert St-Louis, a 42-year-old father of five last seen in June 1988. Police say they requested the assistance of Quebec provincial police divers because the vehicle might be linked to a missing person case. Laval police says its crimes against persons division will try to confirm whether any human remains recovered from the site can be identified. Teens charged in ‘violent' collision on Stoney Creek Mountain

A pair of teenage drivers have been charged following a serious crash on Stoney Creek Mountain last month. Hamilton police said in a media release that officers were called to a serious collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Rymal Road East and Fletcher Road on the night of June 22. A Mazda, travelling westbound on Rymal, was attempting to turn south onto Fletcher when it was struck by a Ford F-150, noted police. That truck, which was being driven by a 16-year-old male from Hamilton, was reportedly travelling at a 'high rate of speed through the intersection,' said the release. Police alleged the driver was travelling more than double the speed limit — 135 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The 'violent impact' of the high-speed crash caused two occupants of the Mazda — neither of whom police say were wearing a seatbelt — to be thrown from the vehicle. Both driver and passenger suffered serious, life-altering injuries, and weeks later, one person remains in hospital in stable condition, added police. The driver of the Ford F-150, as well as a passenger, both suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital. Due to the severity of the crash, the collision reconstruction unit took over the investigation into the incident. Police said the 16-year-old driver of the Ford F-150 was arrested on July 17 and later released on an undertaking. The teen has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm, stunt driving, speeding and careless driving causing bodily harm. The dangerous operation charges are under the criminal code, while the remaining charges are under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The driver of the Mazda, a 17-year-old from Hamilton, was charged under the HTA with failing to properly wear a seatbelt, driving while under suspension and a G1 license violation for not being unaccompanied by a qualified driver. A 31-year-old from Hamilton, who police identified as the owner of the Mazda, was charged under the HTA, as well as the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, for making a false statement, permit operation of a vehicle without insurance and permit a novice driver to contravene licence conditions. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, noted police, and any witnesses that have not yet spoken to investigators are asked to come forward by calling the collision reconstruction unit at 905-546-4753 .
