Scotland trio called into Lions squad for Australia clash
The Lions' squad has swelled to 44 players with the latest additions, who are being brought in to provide cover that will prevent key Test personnel from backing up in next Tuesday's match against a First Nations & Pasifika XV.
The eighth match on tour takes place before the second Test against the Wallabies in Melbourne on July 26.
Prop Sutherland, hooker Ewan Ashman and wing Darcy Graham have all been summoned from Scotland's tour of New Zealand.

Graham will link up with the Lions in Brisbane on Monday while Sutherland and Ashman will arrive in Melbourne on Sunday with Scotland facing Samoa in Auckland the previous day.
Sutherland made two Test appearances for the Lions in South Africa four years ago.
Head coach Andy Farrell named a 38-man squad in May but since arriving in Australia full-back Jamie Osborne, hooker Jamie George and prop Tom Clarkson have been added.

Liverpool's ambitious move for Isak can keep Man Utd off their perch once and for all… Fergie would have done the same
THREE decades of looking enviously at Manchester United's dominance clearly brought home the critical lessons to Liverpool. Having toppled the Anfield side off their 'perch', Sir Alex Ferguson set about establishing his own empire. 8 Arne Slot could lead Liverpool into a new dynasty Credit: Getty 8 The club want to add Newcastle star Alexander Isak to their squad Credit: Getty 8 Liverpool could knock Manchester United off the perch that Sir Alex Ferguson made for them Credit: Getty That meant never resting on their laurels — enjoy the moment, celebrate, then start again, making the changes needed to refresh and improve. If that means upsetting some of your players, so be it. The club comes first. And while Arne Slot won his first Prem crown by just tweaking the framework he had inherited from Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool's willingness to smash the British transfer record and bring Alexander Isak to Merseyside for £120million is the clearest signal that the Dutchman is looking to create something permanent. The move for Swedish star Isak, 25, is more than an isolated push in a summer of treading water. Instead, it is Slot laying out his cards. Winning the title was great. But it is only the beginning of his ambitions. With nearly a month to go before the start of the new season and Liverpool's team to face Bournemouth on August 15 could show four changes from Slot's first XI last term. Slot's fellow Dutchman Jeremie Frimpong was recruited from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.5m to fill the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold's decision to move to Real Madrid. But the other transfer targets were about building something even better from a position of strength. Andy Robertson was a Klopp mainstay for seven trophy-stacked seasons but the Scot has started to look increasingly vulnerable. CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Slot suggested Robertson's disrupted pre-season last summer was a factor but appeared to have signed his immediate replacement, bagging Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for £40m. And while the midfield trio of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai brought far more control and poise in the engine room than for much of the Klopp era, Slot wanted to upgrade his options. Darwin Nunez performs tragic Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota's celebration after scoring in first game since his death He did that when Liverpool saw off Bayern Munich to lure Frimpong's Leverkusen club-mate Florian Wirtz, with just a little matter of £100m up front, plus up to £16.5m in add-ons. Now, with many inside and outside the club still mourning the tragic loss of Diogo Jota — something that, naturally, will long cast a shadow over the dressing room — Slot is thinking ahead once more. His interest in Isak has never exactly been hidden, although it appeared Newcastle, desperate to hang on to their attacking talisman, had held off Liverpool's desire to land him. But by making a direct approach now, with Isak all too aware that Liverpool are serious about getting him on board, the Anfield chief is showing he believes the title win was just the beginning. 8 8 TRANSFER NEWS LIVE - KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW It is exactly what Fergie would have done, too. Remember how back-to-back crowns were followed by the shock of losing the title to Blackburn in 1995. Out went stalwarts Paul Ince, Mark Hughes and Andrei Kanchelskis. In came Beckham, Scholes, Butt and the Neville brothers, the Class of 92. It was a pattern that continued. Win then refresh. A pattern that helped Ferguson secure 13 Prem titles in the space of 21 seasons. All while Liverpool, who had been the ones to beat for so long, were suffering a title drought and only managed to finish second twice. Now, with the boot firmly on the other foot, it is Liverpool who are utilising their advantages — just as they always did in those glory days of the 70s and 80s. There may be more to come, too. Slot's signings are eye-catching but he has brought in nearly £56m from the departures of Alexander-Arnold, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher and Nat Phillips, with more to come if Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz go. With Madrid eyeing a move next summer for potentially out-of-contract Ibrahima Konate, the Reds have not given up on Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace. Isak, though, would be the icing on their cake. A line-leader who would offer a constant goal threat, able to hold the ball up and run in behind, and still not even entering his prime years. Keeping hold of Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah was Slot, making them believe last term was the launchpad. What he has done since is already looking like he could finally put Liverpool right back on that perch. 8 Man United last won the league in 2011 Credit: Action Images - Reuters 8 Ferguson won the title 13 times during his illustrious reign Credit: PA:Press Association

Son of NRL club's biggest legend organises fan march to force club to sack team's CEO - but precisely ZERO people show up
The son of one of the greatest NRL players to ever lace up a boot has tried to oust South Sydney chairman Blake Solly - and failed in spectacular fashion. There has been bad blood between Rod Churchill, the son of Clive Churchill, and South Sydney for years. Previously, Rod Churchill took aim at Souths chairman Nick Pappas and heavily criticised star player Latrell Mitchell in leaked text messages. On that occasion, he called Mitchell a ' cancer ' on the club, which went down like a lead balloon. 'Where was the human headline Mitchell tonight Nicholas?' that text read. 'Missing again, this was his big game apparently? Your club will not win another comp for another 40 years if this imposter remains at Souths. 'He is a complete myth who has the aboriginal cause paramount and south sydney second, if at all. 'I hope you and family are well. Nothing was done and now this cancer that is Mitchell has ruined the club.' That spray led to the NRL intervening, banning him from presenting the Clive Churchill Medal on grand final day to the best player on ground. It appears that has done little to reduce the friction between Churchill and the club, with News Corp revealing that Rod recently tried to organise a rally to have Solly and long-time official Mark Ellison removed from their posts. However, nobody turned up - not even Rod Churchill himself. There was plenty of hope at Redfern before the 2025 season after the club managed to woo supercoach Wayne Bennett back from The Dolphins. Instead, the club has endured a wretched injury toll that has claimed big scalps including skipper Cameron Murray, half Cody Walker and blue-chip recruit Brandon Smith. That has seen the Bunnies crash to second last on the NRL ladder and not looking likely to make the finals again. Rabbitohs boss Blake Solly has hit back at Rod Churchill for his latest comments against him and the club Churchill has laid the blame on Solly and Ellison for their role in recruitment in abusive messages he sent to Solly. 'U are an uneducated dope,' one reads. 'I thank (sic) you realise that Look in the mirror.' He added: 'Find something Else blakev (sic). Other messages included: 'No response from you 3.6! Years you maggott (sic).' 'Not done pope (sic).' 'Thats the last if texts (sic). If suggest you call u me (sic).' Then, at the end of last month, Churchill tried to organise a march last Saturday to have the Rabbitohs boss removed from his role. A social media post called for members to march from the club's headquarters at Heffron Park to Souths Juniors in protest, However not a single soul showed up, except for Souths staff members who were there to monitor proceedings that never happened. Solly responded to Rod Churchill's most recent attacks, saying there was no need for them. 'Our club has always had the utmost respect for the Churchill family and Clive's enormous contribution to the Rabbitohs,' Solly said.

Former England striker Carroll, once the most expensive British player in history, came on just after the hour with his new club 2-1 down. But League Two Crawley made their superior collective quality pay against their sixth-tier opponents, with three goals - including a late double from a player known only as Triallist B - making it 5-1. Ex-Newcastle and Liverpool striker Carroll had one half-chance with a header, but was always stretching and could not divert it on target. The former £35million man shocked the world of football on Saturday by not only moving to Dagenham but also investing in the East London club too. And it saw Carroll jump on board as he returned to England from France after a spell with fourth-tier Bordeaux. Carroll said: 'I'm really excited to get started with Dagenham. My kids thought I was signing for Chelsea — they'll be in for a shock. 'It's a fantastic location and close to my kids, they will be able to come and see me play. 'I didn't want to finish playing football and I'm really excited to get involved in the leadership side and be a player. Footballer Andy Carroll signing for Dagenham and Redbridge FC 'I've got experience in seeing how clubs are run, of all levels. I think I can add value. 'My first job is to go in as a player, I want to get them promoted. I was offered clubs with a lot more money, but I realised Dagenham was a project that I really wanted to get into. 'I want to help as many players and staff from my experience and background as possible. 'I was getting offers from clubs in France, Italy and Spain, but I wanted to come home. 'I could sign for a top club, but me and the managers might not see eye to eye, so I just want to be somewhere I'm going to be happy.' Carroll has been joined in the UK by his partner Lou Teasdale, who is a make-up artist. They announced their romance in October last year shortly after Carroll's separation from ex-wife Billi Mucklow. He has three kids with the former TOWIE star, as well as another two children from a previous relationship. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
