Vishal's request to theatre owners: No public reviews for 3 days, faces trolls from netizens
Directed by Andrew Pandian, the film saw a recent event held in Chennai. Actor Vignesh plays the lead role in the film, while celebrities including directors P. Vasu, Suraj, and actor
Vishal
attended the event.
Praises directors and supports actor Vignesh's journey
During his speech, Vishal praised both directors Vasu and Suraj. He jokingly added that while many are given honorary doctorate titles nowadays, director Suraj truly deserves one.
He lauded Suraj's comedy scenes with Vadivelu, saying they served as "meditation and medicine" for many viewers. He wished 'Red Flower' success, emphasizing that films today shouldn't be judged as big or small and noted his attendance was out of respect and friendship for Vignesh, who had overcome struggles and setbacks to reach this point.
Impressed by director's 2047 vision and Netaji tribute
Vishal was also impressed by director Andrew Pandian's futuristic vision, saying many filmmakers are still struggling to portray current issues while Andrew has gone ahead to imagine what might happen in 2047.
He shared that the film pays tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, whom he admires alongside Bhagat Singh. He said it was a proud moment for him to see a tribute to such a leader on-screen.
Calls for regulated releases, hints at wedding update
Addressing industry concerns, Vishal appealed to the Producer's Council to regulate the release of Tamil films, pointing out that up to 10 films release on the same day, making it difficult for all to find enough screens. He concluded by revealing that the Nadigar Sangam building inauguration is in progress and that fans can expect a positive update on his birthday, August 29, including the announcement of his wedding date.
Meanwhile, Vishal's no public review for 3 days idea has received reaction among netizens, and it heats up the social media debate.

Jackie Shroff on choosing unconventional roles: No one wanted to do Devdas because…
Even after more than four decades in the industry, Jackie Shroff has been able to work consistently throughout this time and is currently enjoying one of the busiest phases of his career. This year, the actor already has had two films released with Housefull 5 and Tanvi The Great, and he has one web series coming too. Ask him what is he doing differently that he is still getting good work in both quality and quantity, and Jackie Shroff simply says, 'I don't know.' Jackie Shroff(Photo: AFP) 'I am doing the same thing that I was doing then. I used to do three films a year and I am still doing that. One of the changes is that I used to sing songs on screen more before, now I do that only when some maker gives me that opportunity,' quips the 68-year-old. 'Basically, I like to act and I like to be handled by my technicians. This is my job,' he adds. The actor insists that it was choosing unconventional roles that set him apart. 'Right from the beginning, I have chosen roles which others didn't want to do. I should get a BAFTA for that,' he says cheekily, adding, 'No one wanted to do Aaranya Kaandam (2010), the Tamil film that I did, because it wasn't an important character as per them. Even Devdas, people were apprehensive of doing Chunnibabu's role saying 'title role to Devdas ka hai'. Par kya ho gaya usse? People were scared to do the role opposite Shah Rukh Khan, which I eventually did. I know if I stand in a frame, I will be seen.' Jackie also shares that he is aware about his positioning and that keeps him sane and grounded. 'I know my limitations, like I can't play cricket or anything else, but I am open to learning. I prefer being like water and giving myself all to the director. I don't plot or plan on how to do things. The director is the captain of the ship, he will handle that. I can't do it. I am open though, you play around with me, give me good lines and scenes and it's cool. Use my presence, my sincerity, discipline and respect for others. There is no pretence with me. I will put it as, I don't die in a death sequence,' he says.

What does AI-altered ending of Raanjhanaa look like? Fans are sharing Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush's videos from theatres
Following the announcement of the AI-altered version of Raanjhanaa, there were growing tensions over its re-release. Now, after watching the new version of the Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor-starrer, fans are sharing videos giving a glimpse of how the ending looks. Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush starred in Raanjhanaa. How does AI version of Raanjhanaa end? Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a user shared a video of how Dhanush's character, Kundan, doesn't die. In the clip, Sonam's character Zoya looks at Dhanush lying on a bed. Kundan is then seen opening his eyes and sitting up on the bed, leaving Bindiya (Swara Bhasker) and Murari (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) in happy tears. What happens in original film In the original film, Kundan is shot and sent to the ICU. Later, Zoya rushes to the hospital to be with him in his dying moments. How fans reacted to his new ending The Tamil version of the film, Ambikapathy, garnered both positive and negative reactions from the moviegoers. A person wrote, "What does this achieve? Are they saying that Sonam and him live happily ever after?" A tweet read, "Crowd is cheering. They are getting the comfort for which they come for. What's the harm!" "This should be re-released with this ending," another person said. A comment read, "It feels weird to see the other side as we loved the previous and original one, but at least now we know both the ends." "Worst ending made ever. Killing the essence of the movie," said another person. "Some movies don't need happy endings. That's why it's special. The last monologue is the heart of the movie," said another fan. "Ruining cult movies," said an X user. How Raanjhanaa director had reacted Reacting to this, Raanjhanaa director Aanand L Rai recently voiced his opposition on Instagram. He shared a long note, calling the recent events "deeply upsetting." "The past three weeks have been surreal, and deeply upsetting. To watch Raanjhanaa, a film born out of care, conflict, collaboration, and creative risk, be altered, repackaged, and re-released without my knowledge or consent has been nothing short of devastating. What makes it worse is the complete ease and casualness with which it's been done," a part of his note read. About Raanjhanaa Raanjhanaa (2013) is a romantic drama film directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma. The film also stars Abhay Deol. Raanjhanaa released on June 21, 2013, while the Tamil-dubbed version Ambikapathy was released a week later. A standalone sequel, Tere Ishk Mein, is set to release on November 28 this year.
