The 23 Best In-Office Treatments to Sculpt, Lift, and Enhance

The 23 Best In-Office Treatments to Sculpt, Lift, and Enhance

Elle25-06-2025
'Everyone does Botox,' Lindsay Lohan recently told ELLE. There's no doubt about it—the aesthetics industry is booming. In-office treatments both big and small have become less taboo. (On the bigger end, Kylie Jenner was just praised for detailing her breast augmentation specs.) It's no surprise, then, that the already $80 billion aesthetics industry is projected to be worth nearly $145 billion by 2030 .
These in-office services are not created equally. For this year's Tools and Treatments Awards, we worked with some of our favorite practitioners to try out dozens of different offerings. These ranged from tried-and-true favorites like Botox, lasers, and Hydrafacials to new and next-gen treatments like a Korean skin-tightening device and biostimulatory fillers.
We asked staff to rank services based on how painful they were, if they'd pay for them with their own money, and if they'd recommend them to their friends. The winners all cleared these criteria by a long shot. Keep reading for the best aesthetic treatments out there. Skip Section
Best Fast-Acting Neurotoxin
Dysport proves that neuromodulators are not one-size-fits-all. Like all neuromodulators, Dysport paralyzes the muscle it is injected into, but it diffuses and spreads a bit more than Botox and sets in faster; results start showing up in two days compared to a week. Dysport is approved for the glabellar lines, or the frown lines between the eyebrows. Our tester used Dysport primarily as a preventative treatment, and after only one day, she noticed smoother, firmer skin in the targeted areas. Her appointment only took 30 minutes—fast enough to do on your lunch break.

Best Classic Neurotoxin
Like Ozempic for GLP-1 drugs or Kleenex for tissues, Botox has become the default word for neurotoxins. That's for good reason—it's FDA-approved to treat moderate-to-severe forehead lines, frown lines, platysmal bands, and crow's feet. Our tester noted that Botox effortlessly smoothed out her forehead, crow's feet, and 'eleven' lines between her eyebrows, and that she looked natural, not frozen.

Best Biostimulatory Filler for Facial Volume
Radiesse, a biostimulatory filler, is made with hydroxyapatite (CaHA) gel microspheres (similar to the minerals found in bones and teeth), and meant to stimulate collagen and elastin production. It's not immediate—full results can take up to a week. Our reviewer noted that it helped add volume to her face, but looked natural and not as obvious as a hyaluronic acid filler: 'I could see a difference in my cheeks.'

Best Glow-Boosting Neurotoxin
Daxxify is the first and only neuromodulator to be powered by peptides. Because of this, people often talk about the 'Daxxify look,' or a kind of radiant glow after getting it. It's not imagined—in a clinical study, 64 percent of patients saw improvements in their skin texture within two weeks. It's also fast-acting, so results can be seen within two days, unlike typical neuromodulators. Our tester noticed dewy results settling in within three days.

Best Injectable Moisturizer
In recent years, many in-the-know aesthetics patients would fly to Europe to get Profhilo, an injectable moisturizer that has yet to be FDA-approved stateside. Now, the U.S. has Skinvive, which is a microdroplet hyaluronic acid filler many dermatologists compare to Profhilo. Injected all over the face, it pulls water from the deeper layers of skin into your epidermis to hydrate and improve your skin barrier, which translates to radiant, more supple skin. While Profhilo requires monthly injections, Skinvive only needs to be injected twice a year. Our tester called Skinvive 'incredible' and says that it has completely transformed his skin, making it much more moisturized and glowy. The results were so impressive that he even ventured to skip his skin care routine after a night out and still woke up looking completely refreshed.

Best Biostimulatory Filler for Collagen Production
Unlike other fillers, Sculptra is biostimulatory–meaning that it doesn't just look like it's giving your skin more volume, it does so by actually stimulating collagen. Made of a polymer called poly-L-lactic acid, it softens deep lines and thickens skin over the course of six to 12 weeks. Our tester really liked how natural her treatment looked, and called the overall effect 'softening.'

Best Lip Filler
A hyaluronic acid-based filler specifically designed for the lips, Volbella is distinct for its enduring effects—often lasting up to a year. This is thanks to the brand's technology, which creates a formula that allows the filler to hold its shape for longer. Our tester had gotten lip filler before, and noticed a difference using this product. He reported it was less painful (all Juvéderm products also have numbing lidocaine in them), and observed that the filler felt 'lighter, more natural, and not as dense' as his first filler experience.

Best Scalp Treatment
Like a Hydrafacial for your scalp, this treatment uses a mixture of suction and a gentle peel to exfoliate and remove dead skin. Once the scalp has been purified, a mixture of good-for-your-skin ingredients like niacinamide, a peptide complex, and B5 are spread over the scalp to nourish it. Our tester said, 'A host at a restaurant told me, apropos of nothing, that he hadn't seen such shiny, beautiful hair in a very long time.'

Best Body Treatment for Stubborn Areas
What if you could work your muscles without ever stepping foot in a gym? Emsculpt makes that possible by using high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to stimulate muscle contractions. In just 30 minutes, this in-office treatment tones muscles, and you can use it on your core, buttocks, biceps, triceps, calves, and thighs. Results can be seen after four treatments. Our tester described the muscle contractions as 'intense' and said the treatment involved lying down for 30 minutes while the machine worked on her abs (she likened the sensation to someone slapping her stomach). After four rounds of treatments, she saw results. 'There was noticeably less fat on my stomach, and my waist even appears to be smaller,' she said.

Best Lymphatic Drainage Treatment for the Body
This machine provides full-body lymphatic drainage via a roller with silicone spheres that quickly spin as they're massaged over the body. The treatment is fast-acting, lasting approximately 30 minutes, and provides a similar feeling to a deep-tissue massage. Our tester noted that she felt much lighter after each treatment. Following her first one, she did feel a slight soreness, but this faded quickly. She noticed a reduction in the appearance of cellulite in certain tough areas, like the thighs, and said she would try regular treatments for more significant results.

Best Muscle Strengthening Treatment
The experience of Pure Impact is so easy that fans say it redefines the idea of 'no pain, no gain.' Using a mixture of electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and the brand's Plyopulse technology, it works to induce deep, involuntary muscle contractions. With multiple paddles, it can be used to target more than one set of muscle groups in a 30-minute treatment block. Our tester went in skeptical, but came out impressed, even after just one session. It helped her abs look more toned and defined, with results that lasted for weeks.

Best In-Office Hair Removal Treatment
Unlike other hair removal treatments, this one utilizes three different wavelengths and ultra-short pulses to make it safe and painless for darker and pale skin tones. Our tester had heard horror stories about laser hair removal, but he found this treatment to be painless and noticed visible results, even after just one treatment.

Best Ultrasound Treatment for Fine Lines and Wrinkles
For those looking to rejuvenate their skin with a gentler alternative to microneedling, Sofwave offers an effective solution. This non-invasive ultrasound treatment requires no downtime and no needles. Its ultrasound technology helps stimulate collagen, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and lift skin. Compared to other face-tightening treatments our tester tried, it was a little bit more painful, but still tolerable. The downtime was also non-existent, without residual soreness or redness. She noticed that after a few weeks, there was some subtle tightening in her jawline, eyebrows, and cheeks that increased over time and had her looking more refreshed.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Sofwave
Best Hydrating In-Office Treatment
Think of Hydrafacial as an all-in-one vacuum and steam mop for your face. Its patented technology cleanses, extracts, and hydrates skin, leaving you glowing in just 30 minutes. Our tester reported that the experience was painless, although she could feel the light exfoliation and suction. Though her results weren't immediately obvious, she noted that she received compliments on her glowy skin and would try the treatment again.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Hydrafacial
Best In-Office Exfoliating Facial
Though cleansers do a good job of ridding the skin of surface-level buildup, sometimes you need something that goes the extra mile. The DiamondGlow machine has a patented diamond-tip wand that deeply cleans and gently exfoliates, so that the most sensitive skin remains unbothered. Simultaneously, it infuses the skin with serums to improve the appearance of skin tone and texture. The tips are customizable, using varying degrees of abrasion and suction based on your skin's needs. Our tester liked that the treatment was quick enough to do on your lunch break, painless and relaxing, and left her skin feeling 'ultra glowy' immediately after. In the days following, she also noticed how soft and plump her skin felt, and how smoothly her makeup applied.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of DiamondGlow
Best Collagen-Stimulating Treatment
Using a combination of radio frequency and microneedling, this machine stimulates collagen to tighten and firm skin. Our tester reported that the treatment is bearable with numbing cream (she said it seemed like someone was 'stapling her face,' but she could only feel pressure in most areas). Post-procedure, she saw noticeable tightening and firming effects on her jawline and cheeks.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Morpheus8
Best Ultrasound Treatment for Skin Tightening
Often called a 'facelift alternative,' this treatment uses ultrasound to stimulate collagen at the deep levels of the face (the superficial muscular aponeurotic system, also known as SMAS, or the area often targeted in facelifts). Prime is the newer version of the original, and the latest machine is faster (up to 20 percent less treatment time), thanks to a larger applicator and more advanced technology. Our tester reported that she noticed definite tightening in the forehead and 'loved the results,' also calling it 'not as painful as she heard it would be.'
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Ultherapy
Best Face Sculpting Treatment
When you want to tone your body, you lift weights in the gym. When you want to tone your face, you can turn to EmFace. Using radio frequency heating, EmFace stimulates collagen and elastin production, which helps to strengthen and plump the skin, while high-intensity focused electrical stimulation contracts the facial muscles for a sculpted look. Our tester found that the treatment was comfortable and relaxing, with the ability to adjust the intensity. Though results usually take eight to 12 weeks to develop, she noticed an immediate glow after each session. After three sessions, she was able to build up to 100 percent intensity, and she reported that her skin was so smooth that she felt comfortable enough to to skip makeup for the rest of the day.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Emface
Best Laser to Even Skin Tone
UltraClear is the first cold ablative fiber laser that stimulates collagen without making your face extremely red. ('Cold' in this instance is talking about a wavelength, not a temperature.) The device delivers quick pulses of energy in intervals to help avoid heat damage and pain. Unlike other ablative lasers, UltraClear's 3DMiracl treatment has less downtime and often doesn't require numbing cream, though there may be a bit of redness or swelling. Our tester experienced four to five days of redness and sensitivity, but ultimately felt the results were well worth it. After treatment, her skin appeared supple and even.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of UltraClear
Best Laser for All Skin Tones
Miria by Avava is a non-ablative resurfacing laser treatment designed to rejuvenate. It uses a precise technique that targets deep layers of the skin—without damaging the outermost layer—to tighten and firm. It is suitable for all skin types, including deeper tones. Because the special technology effects such deep layers, there is a lower risk of pigment disruption, which can lead to hyperpigmentation for melanated skin tones. Though our tester noted that the pain was tolerable, she did use numbing cream ahead of her treatment. She also reported that the treatment was quick but that the best results came with continued sessions.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Avava
Best Tightening Treatment With Minimal Pain
Before this year, you'd have to book a flight to try this radio frequency device. But it's now available in U.S. markets for the first time. Known in Korea as 'Volnewmer,' Everesse is popular across the world for its ability to lift and tighten the skin. The device uses radio frequency energy (6.78 MHz monopolar to be exact) to stimulate collagen. It is able to target the dermis (the deep layers of your skin) while keeping your epidermis (the surface) protected. Unlike many skin-tightening treatments, you don't need to numb your skin beforehand. Our tester found the treatment to be comfortable and quick—it took 30 minutes to treat her entire lower face. While the treatment delivers warm pulses to skin, she felt like it never got too hot, and she had no downtime. She also noticed immediately that her cheeks looked lifted and her jawline looked more defined.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Everesse
Best In-Office Microneedling
SkinPen was the first-ever microneedling device to receive FDA clearance, and it continues to be the gold standard. Using fine needles, the device creates tiny injuries in the top layer of your skin, which triggers your body's natural healing process and leads to increased collagen production. Our tester shared that she had obvious results, even after just one session. It erased capillary damage on her left cheek and improved her skin texture overall. 'My pores look smaller, and my complexion is more even,' she said, though she noted that her recovery time was somewhat lengthy—her skin was red for five days post-treatment.
BOOK NOW Courtesy of Skinpen
Best In-Office Microneedling Alternative
Microneedling effectively boosts collagen and elastin by creating tiny punctures in your skin, but Sinclair's Enerjet offers a unique alternative to the scary-sounding wounds: It uses high-pressure air, rather than needles, to stimulate collagen. Jet technology helps deliver healing agents like hyaluronic acid deep into the skin—even on sensitive and delicate areas, like around the eyes and the lips—without creating trauma on the outermost layer (though you may still have some minor marks after treatment). It isn't painful—our tester says it felt like someone softly thumped her skin with their finger. She got the treatment along her hairline and noticed an immediate eyebrow lift.

The Affordable Hair Product I Recommend to Friends, Family, and Even Strangers

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. I live in constant fear of one dreaded question: 'So, what products are you loving right now?' I may be a beauty editor, but the second someone asks me this, my mind goes blank. I stutter over my words. I end up sounding like someone who has never touched a beauty product in her life, rather than someone who tests them all the time for work. There is one product, however, that I can't stop talking about, and that is the JVN Complete Air Dry Cream. I have recommended it to my mom, my best friend, my boyfriend's sister-in-law, the clerk at my neighborhood grocery store, and at least two complete and total strangers. I'm not exaggerating when I say this air dry cream makes my hair look impossibly good. COMPLETE AIR DRY CREAM 5.0OZ. Benefits: Allows for easy, on-the-go, air dry styling. Anti-frizz ingredients promote all day smoothness. Defines like a curl cream to enhance all textures. Buildable formulation allows untimate control over hold strength. Key Ingredients: CHIA AND LINSEED EXTRACTS Naturally derived texture enhancers work together to add lasting, touchable hold.. HEMISQUALANE Derived from bio-fermented sugarcane helps improve hair health and strength instantly and over time.. MORINGA SEED OIL Adds lush, lightweight hydration for softness, shine and dazzling luster.. Research Results: Instantly Reduces Frizz by 97%. *Provides 24-hour frizz control. *97% say Air Dry Cream adds hold without stiffness **. **Based on a 21 day consumer study of 35 subjects, 3x weekly use. *In a controlled hair swatch study, after one use. Last weekend, my friend and I were walking down the sidewalk when we stopped at a red light. 'Okay, you have to tell me what you do with your hair, because I can never get mine to look like that,' she said, eyeing my curls. My answer? You guessed it. I had the same reply when someone asked me what hair tool I use to give my hair such natural-looking waves. And the same one when someone asked me if I got my hair done before I met them for a drink. You might be thinking, Okay, shut up, you just have good hair. That's actually not true! My hair is notoriously difficult. It has a strange curl pattern that is somewhere between 2c waves and 3b curls, and all of the curls are underneath, while the waves are on top, which often makes me look like a Christmas tree. My individual hstrands are fine in nature, but I have an approximate metric ton of them, so altogether, my hair is super thick, but tangles easily. When I was young, my parents gave up on trying to style it before I went to school, and as a result, every photo of me between the ages of 5 to 9 looks like I had permanent bed head. Even into my mid-twenties, I resorted to hot tools and was forced to use a whole pile of products to make my natural texture look good. Then the JVN Complete Air Dry Cream came across my desk, and the rest is history. I am aware that other air dry creams exist. In fact, I've tried many of them. But none of them make my hair look as good as this one. That's all thanks to the formula—the JVN Complete Air Dry Cream has chia and linseed oil, which provide texture and hold, while nourishing moringa oil keeps your hair soft (I just ran my fingers through my hair and can confirm my curls are not crunchy or stiff in the slightest). The cream also contains hemisqualane, a plant-derived silicone alternative, which helps to reduce frizz and strengthens hair over time. Here's my routine: After conditioning, I comb my hair in the shower with a waterproof wide-tooth comb, then rinse. When my hair is still soaking wet, I apply a moisturizing leave-in (I like the Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Hair Cream, but anything hydrating works). I wrap it up in a microfiber towel, and once it's dry enough that it's not going to leave a huge wet spot on the shirt I'm wearing, I take my hair down and scrunch in a nickel-sized amount of the JVN Complete Air Dry Cream. Then I leave my house with wet hair and hope it dries before my first meeting. C'est tout! I've gone through three tubes of this Air Dry Cream, and if it ever got discontinued, I'd be scouring eBay for backups. It's formulated to enhance every hair texture, and there's a mini version you can try for around $15. That's less than a fancy cocktail—and it will spark way more joy, I promise.

Is Spray-On Skin Care the Secret to Better Skin?

Face mists have come a long way since the Evian spray bottles of the early aughts. Once dismissed as glorified water, today's formulations are dermatologist-backed, packed with active ingredients, and designed to do far more than momentarily cool you down. Dealing with dry, sensitive skin? Snag a hydrating spray infused with ceramides or squalane. Breakouts from sweaty, summer skin? A hypochlorous acid mist can help prevent pimples. Need grease-free UV protection that won't mess with your makeup? There's a setting spray with SPF for exactly that. Beyond their impressive array of benefits and ease of application, there's one more aspect of face mists that's worth bragging about: the best ones work with your skin care—not against it. 'Having an extremely light consistency, they can easily be layered under products to provide the foundation for the rest of your skin care routine,' says board-certified dermatologist Dr. Joshua Zeichner. 'Plus, they play nicely with other products previously applied to the skin—including makeup.' Translation: you can prime, set, refresh, repeat—all with the same mist. So, is spray-on skin care just a fleeting industry fad? Definitely not. To help you navigate the ever-growing mist market, I tapped Dr. Zeichner for his expert picks, combed through top-rated customer reviews, and personally tested dozens by spritzing my face with different elixirs for weeks. Scroll ahead for the 13 best face mists of 2025, from refreshing hydrators to dew-boosting setting sprays. Whether you're in need of a hydrating primer, mid-day refresh, or dewy finish to your makeup look, try the Kiyomi Skin Face Mist. This J-beauty spray utilizes 5-aminolevulinic acid, organic bamboo leaf extract, and hyaluronic acid to enhance collagen production and boost hydration, resulting in moisturized skin that lasts. Whether sprayed onto clean skin or a full face of makeup, it always leaves you with a glass-like glow. Key ingredients: 5-aminolevulinic acid, organic bamboo leaf extract, hyaluronic acid Size: 3.3 oz Amazon rating: 5/5 An ELLE editor says: 'This face mist has become my new obsession. I use it constantly—after my skin care routine for an extra layer of hydration, during a beach day for a refreshing, cooling effect, and as a setting spray for a glass-like sheen that's never greasy. I have extremely sensitive and acne-prone skin, and this spray has yet to cause any irritation or breakouts. I can't recommend it enough!'—Emma Aerin Becker, associate beauty e-commerce writer Praised in our hypochlorous acid spray round-up, the Tower 28 SOS Rescue Spray calms irritation and helps heal the skin's barrier upon application. My favorite way to utilize this mist is by quickly spritzing it on my face after a heated pilates class to prevent my skin from breaking out. Yess, it fights against acne, too. Key ingredients: Hypochlorous acid Size: 4 oz Sephora rating: 4.1/5 An ELLE expert says: 'This space mist contains hypochlorous acid, an ingredient that can help calm inflammation, prevent breakouts, and even address conditions like sensitivity or rosacea. It's non-irritating and won't bleach your clothing, so it can be used across all skin types as your base layer or even before bed.'—Dr. Zeichner Hailey Bieber revolutionized the look of glazed and glowing skin. The model created her skin care line, Rhode, with hydrated, dewy skin in mind, and the recently released Glazing Mist does just that. A few spritzes hydrate and refresh skin for a supple finish on the go. Key ingredients: Ectoin, ceramides Size: 2.7 oz Rhodeskin rating: 5/5An ELLE editor says: 'The Rhode Glazing Mist feels like a basic Evian water spray, but acts like skin care. It has a super-fine mist that feels incredible on the face, and is packed with ceramides and extoin that moisturize, smooth, and reinforce the skin's natural barrier. Though the formula is quite basic, it feels so refreshing and can be used at any point in your routine.'—Emma Aerin Becker A facial spray that's equally as soothing as it is hydrating? Sign us up. The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Skin Soothing Hydration Mist is infused with glycerin, ceramides, and squalane to moisturize, while green tea extract, vitamin E, and ectoin calm and soothe skin. Key ingredients: Glycerine, ceramides, squalene, ectoin Size: 1.7 oz Sephora rating: 4.6/5 A Sephora reviewer says: 'This product has been in my purse, and it's a must for refreshing my face and makeup during the day. Its compact size is perfect for on the go. The spray mist feels refreshing and leaves my skin moisturized with a nice glow. It's perfect for before makeup and for touching up during the day!' The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Setting Spray prioritizes skin care, which is why Dr. Zeichner is such a huge fan of it. 'This mist delivers hyaluronic acid along with antioxidants to hydrate the skin without messing up your makeup,' he explains. It delivers a dewy finish that locks in your look. Key ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, antioxidants Size: 3.4 oz Amazon rating: 4.5/5 An Amazon reviewer says: 'I don't just use this as setting spray. I spray my beauty blender to dampen it when I put on product and it works great. My makeup stays put all day, doesn't transfer to my clothes, and it has a very fine mist. No oiliness at all for me when using. Good clean product.' When it comes to a dewy finish, no one does it like Tatcha. The cult-favorite Luminous Dewy Skin Mist contains botanical oils and humectants that leave skin dewy, as well as hyaluronic acid to hydrate. Meanwhile, a trinity of Japanese anti-aging superfoods helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. What's not to love? Key ingredients: Okinawa red algae, squalene, silk extract Size: 1.35 oz Sephora rating: 3.9/5 A Sephora reviewer says: 'I've tried to find a dupe but nothing comes close. I use this every day as a primer before my stick foundation—especially during the winter to give my skin a layer of moisture and on flights. Leaves a perfect fine mist of moisture. To me it's worth the price since I use daily and nothing else has come close to as good.' While most face mists are formulated to hydrate dry skin, Sofie Pavitt Face's iteration was specifically designed for oily skin. Powered by niacinamide and panthenol, this spray absorbs excess oil, calms redness, and soothes irritation. Keep it in your bag to stay cool during the day—or store it in the fridge for extra cooling benefits. Key ingredients: Niacinamide, panthenol Size: 3.2 oz A Sephora reviewer says: 'This mist is a NY summer essential! Fridge to Face is an absolute lifesaver when the city heats up. That instant cooling blast not only feels amazing but actually tackles redness and keeps my skin calm. I've seen a real difference in preventing those pesky heat-induced dark spots, which used to be a major struggle. Keeping it in the fridge for an extra chill is brilliant. Seriously, if you want to beat the summer skin stress and keep your complexion clear, this is your five-star secret weapon!' As someone with very sensitive skin, I understand how scary it can be to add a new product to your routine. Fortunately, Dr. Zeichner deems Avène's Thermal Spring Water safe for everyone. 'Derived from specialized thermal water in Avène, France, this mist contains probiotic extracts that are especially useful and calming on sensitive skin,' he says. Key ingredients: Avène thermal spring water Size: 10.1 oz Amazon rating: 4.7/5 An Amazon reviewer says: 'I have rosacea and have tried almost every moisturizer to treat it. I decided to try this mist alone since I'm not outside much. Wow! It works great as a moisturizer by itself! Shake the can well and spray on your face, neck, shoulders, and it feels cool and refreshing—especially on my hot rosacea. It leaves a wonderful glow that lasts. Family and friends have commented on how much better my skin looks. It evens out my rosacea into a smooth, rosy glow. I mist my face 3-4 times a day because it feels so good. And the cost is worth it because it's a tall, hairspray-size can.' The SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Essence Facial Mist not only strengthens the skin barrier, but also immediately reduces visible redness. It's jam-packed with skin-loving ingredients—a botanical blend of cucumber, thyme, olive leaf, and rosemary extracts soothes and calms, while glycerin and hyaluronic acid hydrate. Key ingredients: Phyto botanical blend, glycerin, hyaluronic acidSize: 1.7 oz Dermstore rating: 4.1/5 A Dermstore reviewer says: 'So hydrating and works well to calm redness. I have dry, mature skin, therefore I am always looking for anything that can add a more dewy look. This is great for that. I also like that it mists evenly. It absolutely provides a nice light, but steady mist. Has a mild, fresh, natural scent. Love it!' The Aestura Atobarrier365 Cream Mist is a skin barrier's best friend. This ultra-fine mist is made with a high ceramide concentration and a triple lipid complex to deeply hydrate, nourish, and lock in moisture. Key ingredients: Ceramides, triple lipid complex Size: 4.06 oz Amazon rating: 4.4/5 An Amazon reviewer says: 'Absolutely amazing for any barrier care or just dry skin. The mister is a very fine spray, which feels luxurious. Such a delight to use. Will be restocking during every Prime Day so that I never run out.' Too lazy to blend in your anti-aging serum? No problem. Kosas makes it easy with the Plump and Juicy Spray-On Serum. The mist boasts an impressive lineup of ingredients, including collagen, probiotics, and peptides, which all work to reverse signs of stress and aging. Key ingredients: Vegan collagen, plant probiotics, peptides Size: 3.38 oz Amazon rating: 4.1/5 An Amazon reviewer says: 'This product is great. It smells good. It feels good on your face. It's hydrating, cooling, and just smells fresh and clean. It's great for mature skin that gets dry throughout the day. Highly recommend.' 'This spray contains specialized water directly from the thermal springs in the south of France,' says Dr. Zeichner. 'It contains a blend of minerals, including selenium, which has been shown to help soothe the outer skin layer and balance the microbiome.' Spritz it on your face and/or body at any time of day for a refreshing, soothing feel. Key ingredients: Thermal spring water Size: 5.1 oz Amazon rating: 4.6/5 An Amazon reviewer says: 'I recently started using this facial mist, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my skin care routine. After I spray it on, my face feels instantly refreshed and super soft. It really helps to lock in the moisture, which is a big plus for me since I have dry skin. I love that it's lightweight, so I can use it throughout the day without it feeling heavy or greasy. It's a little pick-me-up that I didn't know I needed!' Finding an SPF facial mist that doesn't clog pores or mess with your makeup is no easy feat. The Elf All Set For Sun Setting Spray protects your skin with SPF 45 broad-spectrum coverage while simultaneously hydrating. It's weightless, quick-drying, and never leaves a white cast. Key ingredients: SPF Size: 2.86 oz Ulta rating: 4.4/5 An ELLE expert says: 'This mist helps moisturize the skin while delivering broad-spectrum UV protection in a non-greasy formula that won't weigh down the skin and won't disrupt your makeup.'—Dr. Zeichner As you know, face mists can be applied at nearly any point in your beauty routine and throughout the day. However, as Dr. Zeichner explains, certain mists are most effective at specific times. Hydrating, soothing, and barrier-support sprays can 'help provide the foundation for the rest of your skin care routine' when applied to clean, dry skin. Many of these same sprays also double as excellent makeup primers. Meanwhile, 'face mists designed as your last step are like icing on the cake,' Dr. Zeichner continues. 'These are usually formulated to set your makeup and skin care in place.' Think: setting sprays and dew-boosting mists. Finally (and most importantly), mists with UV protection should be applied in the morning and reapplied throughout the day. Dr. Joshua Zeichner is a board-certified dermatologist based in New York City. As a leading publisher of fashion, lifestyle, and beauty content, is committed to highlighting the best products in various categories by personally testing the latest and most innovative products, interviewing countless experts, and vetting customer-loved items. This Viral Royal Tulip Polish Gave Me Baby-Smooth Skin in Under 5 Minutes

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. I have read the same beauty stories you have. In fact, maybe I've written some of them. I know that there are many well-regarded body exfoliators to get soft, smooth, silky skin. I know that exfoliating is meant to be a full-body practice. I know that if you're truly a devotee to the temple of soft skin, like most beauty enthusiasts are, you should be scrubbing, sloughing, and dry-brushing all over, all the time. But I don't like to. And the simple reason for that is: I am lazy. Exfoliating your body feels like exercise. The other reason is that most body exfoliators are unpleasant, and leave behind an oily residue that makes me feel like I need to shower again. The very popular, very trendy brown sugar-type body exfoliators also feel like something I could make in my own kitchen and thus, are a waste of money to buy. But (you must have known there would be another 'but' in there), there is one body exfoliator I like using. Bloomeffects Royal Tulip Petal Polish is a really nice body exfoliator that makes me feel like I'm maximizing my limited time in the shower. It boasts not just one type of exfoliator (physical, via sea salt granules), but three (14 percent alpha hydroxy acid and pomegranate enzymes). The salt granules don't have sharp edges, and the exfoliator mix lifts and scrubs off dead skin and hyperpigmentation (meaning it does great things for mosquito bites and acne scars). I like that the granules are fine and are noticeable, without being too in-your-face (sort of like Keanu Reeves). And I really like the base of the exfoliator—it's a cream, made of hyaluronic acid—as well as the brand's proprietary tulip complex (made from actual, imperfect tulip bulbs) that transforms into a fluffy, not-too-rich lather when you add water. The combination leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft (and, most importantly, clean) at the same time. The brand's founder, Kim van Haaster, also has a real love story that I like telling people because it sounds like something out of a Canadian Lifetime movie—Canadian, because the Lifetime movies are better there (ask any native). She was living in New York, working in beauty, and went on a trip to Ibiza with her girlfriends, when she met a man in a club. As Usher sings, they fell in love in this club, and the man turned out to be a fourth-generation tulip farmer. Haaster then created her brand based on the tulip waste byproduct she observed at his family farm. Currently pregnant with sensitive skin to boot, she recently discovered that Bloomeffects' Royal Tulip Polish is gentle enough for her skin, and, she promises, even for your face and hair. I haven't tried it on my face and hair yet, but I do get a kick out of using the tulip-decorated wooden spoon that comes with each jar. And the super-soft skin after application, of course.
