Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty advanced for the fourth straight session on Friday (June 27, 2025), supported by buying in blue-chips ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries amid fresh foreign fund inflows.
A strengthening rupee against the U.S. dollar and softening crude oil prices in international markets also boosted investor confidence, according to traders.

'Key catalysts like the ceasefire in the Middle East and optimism on easing trade tensions ahead of the deadline have cleared the clouds in the minds of investors. After consecutive days of selling, FIIs have turned into net buyers in the domestic market, contributing to improved market stability in the near term.
'Moreover, benign oil prices and a strengthening rupee influenced investors to focus on domestic growth themes,' Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Investments Limited, said.
In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei 225 index settled higher, while South Korea's Kospi, Shanghai's SSE Composite index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng ended lower.
European markets were trading in the green in afternoon trade.
U.S. markets ended in positive territory on Thursday (June 26, 2025).
Meanwhile, an RBI report has suggested that all banks should bring down their lending rates for speedy transmission of the policy rate, which was lowered by 50 basis points earlier this month.
An article published in the Reserve Bank's June Bulletin stressed that the financial conditions remained conducive to facilitating an efficient transmission of rate cuts.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 0.72% to $68.20 a barrel.
On Thursday (June 26, 2025), the Sensex had jumped 1,000.36 points, or 1.21%, to settle at 83,755.87. The Nifty rallied 304.25 points, or 1.21%, to 25,549.

World's biggest deal has happened between two countries, to directly impact economy, millions of people will be...

World's biggest deal has happened between two countries, to directly impact economy, millions of people will be… US-China Trade Agreement: In a major development, a crucial agreement has been signed between the United States and China on the trade framework. Both countries finalised the terms that were discussed in Geneva. According to experts, the deal was done so quickly because America's economic condition is deteriorating at a fast pace, and GDP growth has plunged into negative territory. What Are The Major Points Of The Deal? As per the deal, Beijing will supply rare earth minerals to the US, essential for several sectors such as jet engines, wind turbines and electronics. In return, America agreed to remove all the trade restrictions, including all taxes. Notably, the US imposed trade tariffs on China before the London talks. US Trade Agreement America is planning to finalising trade agreements with as many as 10 major countries. These deals will be done before the reimposition of high tariffs. The deadline is July 9. A wave of happiness swept through global markets, as Asian stock markets and European futures saw a rise. Global equity index reached a new record, due to trade deal expectations. Who are the other potential trade partners of America and India? Global Markets Welcomed The Decision A wave of happiness has swept through global markets. Asian and European markets opened and remained in the green throughout the day on Friday. Global equity index reached a new record, due to trade deal expectations. Is US Planning Trade Deal With India? A delegation led by Rajesh Agarwal is negotiating the deal in Washington on behalf of the country. Recently, United States President Donald Trump hinted at a 'Big Deal' with India. However, Japan's trade representative Ryosei Akazawa has said that they cannot accept the 25% car tariff proposed by the US. ' We are continuously making serious efforts on the tariff proposals of the US,' Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said during a media briefing. What Complications Does US-China Deal Have? The deal between China and the US is not a comprehensive trade agreement. It means that the deal has several issued in it like – American exporters have a level playing field in the Chinese market. There are still concerns related to fentanyl drug trafficking. Another example is: US has allowed companies to export ethane gas to China, but with a condition that it cannot be exported there without approval. What Will Be The Impact On India? The new US-China trade deal includes steps like the supply of rare earth, reducing tariffs, and agreeing on new terms. It is crucial step towards reducing tensions between the two countries. However, in recent years, when the trade war between US-China was at its peak, India benefited. During the trade war, America had imposed tariffs on several Chinese goods. Following this Indian companies (such as textiles, pharma, engineering) got the opportunity to export their products. Now if America is agreeing on importing goods from China, some of India's export sectors may feel the heat. China Dominates The Supply Of Rare Earth Minerals It is worth noting that the Dragon dominates the rare earth minerals market. These minerals are used in electric vehicles, solar panels, chips and defence equipment. If China resumes the supply of rare earth to America, then India will also get the benefit of stability in prices. The United States is negotiating a potential trade agreement with ten nations, including a possible agreement with India. This agreement could grant India preferential trade access. Easing US-China tensions is boosting global investor confidence, potentially leading to increased foreign portfolio investment and stock market growth in India.

Nifty, Bank Nifty Futures signal strong upside as bulls take charge

Nifty 50 and Nifty Bank indices surged 2.1% each last week, supported by strong futures and options (F&O) data that signals sustained bullish sentiment. Nifty 50 Futures Outlook Nifty July futures closed at 25,750, posting a 2.2% weekly gain. This rally was backed by a sharp rise in open interest, which more than doubled to 151 lakh contracts—indicating a fresh long build-up. The July Put-Call Ratio (PCR) stands at 1.20, while the August contract is at 1.30. A PCR above 1 suggests stronger put writing activity, a common sign of bullishness. From a technical standpoint, Nifty July futures broke out above the resistance at 25,400, confirming bullish momentum. The next target is 26,500, and if this level is breached, a further rally to 27,000 is likely. Support Levels: 25,400 (immediate) 25,150 (21-day moving average) Strategy: Continue holding long positions in Nifty July futures with a stop-loss at 25,300. If the contract crosses 26,000, raise the stop-loss to 25,700 and book profits at 26,500. Nifty Bank Futures Outlook Bank Nifty July futures ended at 57,648, also up by 2.1% last week. Open interest jumped fivefold to 23 lakh contracts, confirming strong long positions. PCR readings for July and August are 1.10 and 2.20 respectively—both pointing to a bullish stance. However, the contract is nearing a resistance zone between 57,800 and 58,000. If there's a pullback, 57,000 can act as a buying opportunity before another upward move begins. A breakout above 58,000 can take the contract to 60,000. While 59,000 might be a minor hurdle, the current momentum suggests it could be crossed smoothly. Support Levels: 56,800 (23.6% Fibonacci retracement) 56,300 (next key support) Strategy: Exit the long position (initiated at 56,330) around current levels due to nearby resistance. Re-enter only on: A breakout above 58,000 – Buy with a target of 60,000 and stop-loss at 57,000 A dip to 57,000 – Buy with a stop-loss at 56,300, and same target of 60,000 Options Strategy: Exit the 58,000 Call (bought at ₹397) at current ₹706 levels. Consider buying an at-the-money call again on a breakout above 58,000 or a dip to 57,000. Both indices show bullish setups backed by F&O data, but traders should watch key levels closely for confirmation before entering fresh positions.

ACC to TVS Motor -Jay Thakkar suggests three stocks to buy for short-term in F&O segment

Stock market news: Indian stock indices maintained an upward trend for the fourth consecutive session, bolstered by favorable global cues, relative calm regarding the Israel-Iran conflict, and the potential extension of the tariff deadline set for July 9 by the US government. A spokesperson from the White House suggested on Thursday that the reciprocal tariff deadline might be postponed, but emphasized that the final decision rests with President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, President Trump indicated that a "great deal" involving India is forthcoming, which has improved investor confidence. The Indian negotiation team is currently in the United States working on a trade agreement. India's robust domestic fundamentals, an agile RBI, and favorable monsoon conditions are supporting the financial markets. With US markets reaching record highs and the US dollar weakening, emerging markets such as India are expected to gain. The Sensex concluded the day at 84,058 points, rising by 303 points, while the Nifty 50 finished at 25,637 points, up by 89 points. Nifty 50 has provided a clean breakout from the sideways consolidation; thus, the short-term trend is bullish. The June series ended on a positive note as Nifty 50 closed above 25,300 levels and the FIIs also reduced their short positions on the Index to quite an extent i.e. from over 1 lakh to merely 35,000 contracts , they also had bought huge in the equity cash segment of over 12,500 crores. So, the short covering coupled with strong buying in equity cash segment led to a clean breakout and thus the uptrend has been established. There was strong call writing in the range of 25,200-25,300 prior to the breakout, hence this range now becomes an immediate support, whereas, 26,000 to 26,300 are the short to medium term targets. The Bank Nifty has also provided a clean breakout above 56,500 levels, thus the supporting Nifty 50 to inch higher. Jay Thakkar of ICICI Securities recommends TVS Motor Futures, Mahanagar Gas Futures, and ACC Futures. TVS Motor has provided a breakout from the sideways consolidation with a clear long built up, indicating further uptrend in the stock. The stock has been one of the outperformers in the two-wheeler segment and hence the upside probability seems higher. There has been good put additions at the lower levels as well as call unwinding indicating good upside possibility. Currently, the stock is trading above its max pain and modified max pain level as well as its 20-day VWAP levels, hence the short-term trend appears bullish Mahanagar Gas had seen huge short built in the previous fall post which the stock managed to bounced back and consolidate. In the entire consolidation period, the stock had witnessed short covering and finally it has provided a breakout from the consolidation which is much positive in the near term. The stock has now moved above its 20-day VWAP as well as its max pain and modified max pain levels, so the upside potential is higher. The cements sector is witnessing good long built up overall and in the case of ACC short covering is expected in the short term as the stock has formed multiple bottoms as well as the sector is in overall uptrend. Although there is higher call base at 1900 and 2000 strikes, however, there is good unwinding of calls below 1900 strike, hence the uptrend has a higher probability in the near term. The stock is also trading well above its 20-day VWAP now as well as its above max pain level.
