COLDPLAY'S Chris Martin and his actress fiancée Dakota Johnson have split up after eight years together.
Rumours about their relationship had been swirling for months and it has now been confirmed Dakota, 35, and Chris, 48, have gone their separate ways.

A source told the Mail: "Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out to make it official. Dakota held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much."
The source said they tried the age old technique of spending time away from each other but the absences didn't lead to their hearts growing fonder.
"Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them," the insider continued.
The pair were pictured holding hands in January at the Babulnath Temple, Mumbai, where Coldplay were touring.
It followed Dakota, who is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, working on new romance movie Materialist with co-stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal in New York.
Chris famously split from actress wife Gwyneth in March 2014 after ten years of marriage.
He reportedly got engaged to Dakota last March and she called his kids with Gwyneth, 51, her "step-children".
Chris is dad to daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star declared that she loves Chris's kids "like her life depends on it."
She said: 'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.
"How do I feel about motherhood? I'm so open to that.
"I've gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer.
'And especially being a woman, I'm like: 'What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience.
"If that's meant to happen for me, I'm totally down for it.
"We're not here for very long, so if I'm meant to be a mother, bring it on."
Dakota also has the seal of approval from Gwyneth, who attended her 30th birthday party.
She said about Chris and Dakota: "I love her.
"I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional.
"But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her.
"I always start to think of the —what else can you bring in, instead of being resistant to or being made insecure by?
"There's so much juice in leaning in to something like that.
"It's not like there's a finish line: 'Oh, we consciously uncoupled; we're done.'
"It's a lifelong commitment to constantly reinvent your relationship with your ex, which you do presumably because you have children together.
"I don't see a reason to do it if you don't have children together. Some people do.
"But I think we put all the hard work in at the beginning. I would say very rarely is it difficult now.
"We've learned how to communicate with each other. We love each other. We laugh.
"We have the best of each other. It's really nice. It makes you feel like you don't have to lose."

Arguably Duck Soup, the one about Groucho ruling the fictional country of Freedonia, is the Brothers' lodestone, but their canvas was wider in this, a romp that never pauses for breath, featuring a breathtaking physical skit set in a cabin on a cruise liner ('and two-hard boiled eggs'), the immortal gag 'there ain't no such thing as a sanity clause' and a climactic lampoon of Verdi's baffling Il trovatore. It's bliss. Buy/rent Michael Crawford as Frank Spencer BBC Few characters are as infantile as Frank Spencer, for all his good intentions, and as he accidentally creates mayhem wherever he goes, he also creates timelessly funny farce. Everywhere: in the dentist's chair, watching a scary film at the cinema (putting popcorn in his ears), meeting the Queen in a line-up with a broken trouser zip. Admit it, you were laughing. ITVX/Netflix/Prime Video Rik Mayall as Richie and Adrian Edmondson as Eddie in Bottom BBC Nihilistic, violent and at times chaotic, Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson's sublime comedy of the absurd gave us big laughs in the Nineties across three brilliant series. Taking their Young Ones characters Richie Richard and Eddie Hitler and dropping them into a filthy flat in Hammersmith, the show is driven by the duo's ridiculous plots to make money and impress women, their perverted fantasies and an overfamiliarity that has long ago turned to contempt. iPlayer Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy in Bowfinger ALAMY Perhaps the last gasp of out-and-out silliness from its writer and star, Steve Martin, and a reminder that Eddie Murphy is a performer of genius. Martin plays the never-say-die film-maker Bobby Bowfinger and Murphy plays both the paranoid superstar Kit Ramsey — whom Bowfinger films secretly on the streets of Hollywood after he refuses to star in his no-budget sci-fi thriller 'Chubby Rain' — and his shy, hopeless twin-cum-body double, Jiff. Oh, and Heather Graham is their ruthlessly ambitious co-star. Ridiculous. Glorious. Buy/rent Larry David as a version of himself in Curb Your Enthusiasm ALAMY Larry David, the brilliant Seinfeld co-creator and producer, was not a man for boundaries in the more than two decades in which he played a hyper-real version of himself. Every episode had him offending someone, whether wearing a Maga hat to ward off unwelcome members of the public or dating a woman in a wheelchair to earn social kudos. Perhaps the silliest 'I want to die' moment came when he placed an obituary tribute to his 'beloved aunt'. Only, of course, the 'A' was accidentally switched for a 'C'. Now Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler in They Came Together ALAMY Is it too much to hope for, one really funny film comedy a year? Well, how can Hollywood commit to out-and-out grown-up laughs when a masterpiece like this spoof, the Airplane! of rom-coms, bellyflopped on release? Yet David Wain's film is constantly inventive: Paul Rudd is the corporate candy exec — 'handsome but in a non-threatening way … vaguely but not overtly Jewish' — who meets the single mother Amy Poehler, who runs a small, not-for-profit candy store (yeah, one of those) in New York. Every detail is smartly observed but, as with the best spoofs, somehow you care what happens to these goons too. Buy/rent Love TV? The 'Prince of Darkness' was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 and died at the age of 76 on July 22, surrounded by his family. In recent years, Ozzy had been battling numerous health conditions, including Parkinson's. The document lists "acute myocardial infarction" and "out of hospital cardiac arrest" under the cause of death section. It also records coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction as "joint causes" of Ozzy's death. Ozzy's tragic passing comes just weeks after his final performance in his home town - where it all began. The rocker sang five songs in his own set, with fans waving torches from their phones during Mama, I'm Coming Home. He finished his performance with Crazy Train, before confetti rained over a packed Villa Park. After a short break, Ozzy re-entered the stage to join the rest of Black Sabbath for the first time in 20 years. The band performed some of their greatest hits, ending with a rendition of Paranoid. In his last ever interview, the heavy metal icon said his "final encore" meant "everything". Tents were erected on the 250-acre grounds of the house Ozzy and Sharon bought in 1993, along with a stage where tributes were paid to the rocker. The home was decorated with pictures of Ozzy, and mourners were given a photograph of him to take home. 110 of the singer's nearest and dearest attended, joining his wife Sharon and his children Jack, 39, Kelly, 40, Aimee, 41, and Louis, 50, his son from his first marriage to Thelma Riley. Stars at the service included Ozzy's Black Sabbath bandmates, Metallica's James Hetfield, punk singer Yungblud and Sir Elton John. Rock icon Marilyn Manson flew in from the US to attend, alongside Ozzy's guitarist Zakk Wylde and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor.
