NBA trade rumor: Chicago Bulls finally pull the trigger on trading Nikola Vucevic but face steep challenges
After four seasons of double-doubles and steady performance, the Chicago Bulls are ready to part with seasoned big Nikola Vucevic. The urgent issue is if the Bulls can receive a fair return or will they be left with a cheap deal since his 35th birthday is approaching and his contract ends in 2026?
Bulls' trade value for Nikola Vucevic dwindles as age and defense concerns mount
Nikola Vucevic has consistently delivered for the Chicago Bulls, averaging a double-double for eight straight seasons.
Last year, he ranked in the top 10 in the NBA for rebounds per game and achieved the fourth-highest scoring average of his career. But at 35, his age and defensive shortcomings have raised questions about how well he fits on a championship-caliber team.
The Bulls are said to be looking for a trade that could land them a promising player like Jonathan Kuminga, but so far, talks haven't resulted in a deal.
With Vucevic's contract ending, some analysts think the Bulls might only get two second-round picks in exchange.
Both teams are trying to bring in Vucevic. The Warriors made attempts to get him before the deadline, but things didn't work out. At the same time, the Lakers are interested and could be involved, with Rui Hachimura or Shake Milton being mentioned. Despite what has been reported, the Bulls appear to be struggling to close a trade that suits their needs. Because of his age and his weaknesses on defense, Vucevic's value could be limited for teams which might convince the Bulls to hold on to him for the time being.

The Chicago Bulls are currently going through a roster shake-up following the exits of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. Trading Vucevic is a key move in their plan to focus on younger players such as Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis. Still, the Bulls need to carefully handle the trade market to make sure they get good value for their veteran center.
If a trade doesn't go through, the Bulls might decide to keep Vucevic for the next season, making him a possible trade asset by the 2026 deadline.
On the other hand, they could look into different ways to boost his value, like using his expiring contract in upcoming trades.

Trading Nikola Vucevic is a major move in the rebuilding process for the Chicago Bulls. The veteran center's age and defensive problems have forced the club to look for alternatives, despite his constant strong play. In order to achieve a favorable conclusion that fits in with their long-term goals, the Bulls need to be strategic in their approach to trade discussions.

AB de Villiers Calls Dewald Brevis Playing For CSK A ‘Shame', Wants Him In RCB For IPL 2026
In a candid conversation that has sparked chatter across the cricketing world, AB de Villiers—arguably one of the most beloved players in Indian Premier League (IPL) history—showered praise on South Africa's rising star Dewald Brevis, while expressing his disappointment that the 22-year-old isn't donning the red and gold of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). 'He is very attacking and still has a lot to learn. He is playing for CSK and not RCB—that is a shame,' remarked de Villiers during a recent podcast appearance with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra. The statement, light-hearted yet sincere, has reignited the perennial rivalry between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and RCB, especially among their massive fan bases. AB's RCB-Brevis Dream: A Missed Match Made in Heaven? AB de Villiers, who was instrumental in shaping RCB's legacy over 11 stellar IPL seasons, clearly sees Brevis as a player molded in his own image. With the same jersey number (17) and a flair for 360-degree strokeplay, Brevis is often dubbed 'Baby AB' by fans and pundits alike. During the IPL 2025 auction, many expected RCB to snatch up the youngster. However, Brevis initially went unsold—until CSK swooped in, signing him for ₹2.2 crore as an injury replacement for Gurjapneet Singh. Brevis didn't disappoint. In just six matches, he racked up 225 runs at a blistering strike rate of 180, averaging 37.50, and smashing two half-centuries in a largely forgettable season for CSK. WCL 2025 Glory and a Nod to Jasprit Bumrah While the IPL discussions made waves, de Villiers also stole headlines elsewhere. Leading the South Africa Champions, he delivered a masterclass in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 final, smashing an unbeaten 120 off just 60 balls against Pakistan Champions to clinch the title. His innings included 12 fours and six towering sixes, proving he still possesses the magic touch. When asked about the toughest Indian bowler he ever faced, de Villiers named Jasprit Bumrah without hesitation. 'Obviously Bumrah. He's one of the greatest bowlers I've played against. He never troubled me too much, but we always had great battles. I have huge respect for him,' he shared. Their rivalry dates back to India's 2018 tour of South Africa and multiple IPL seasons, where de Villiers struck 125 runs off Bumrah at a strike rate of 147.1—but was also dismissed three times. Brevis' Rise in South African Colors Brevis, who made his international debut in August 2023, has already featured in two Tests and seven T20Is for South Africa. His recent form in the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Nation Series was impressive—crossing the 30-run mark four times in six matches while maintaining a strike rate of 187.32. Now, he is gearing up for a high-stakes white-ball series against Australia, starting August 10 at Darwin's Marrara Oval. With three T20Is and three ODIs lined up, the tour offers Brevis a golden opportunity to further solidify his place in the South African setup ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Can RCB Still Make a Play for Brevis? Though the 'shame' of him playing for CSK lingers, de Villiers left a door open, hinting that Brevis might still wear the RCB colors in the future. With the young star's value rising exponentially and RCB constantly in search of long-term power-hitters, a future alliance can't be ruled out. As IPL franchises start strategizing for the 2026 edition, Brevis is undoubtedly one of the hottest commodities. Whether he stays yellow or turns red will be one of the most closely watched developments in the coming months.

WWE Summerslam 2025 Night 2 (Aug 3, 2025) Quick Highlights: List of All Winners, Top Performers, and More
SummerSlam 2025 (Image via WWE) The WWE Summerslam 2025 event was staged as a two-night show for the first time in its entire history. Held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Night 2 saw quite a few celebrities attending the event alongside the fans, including NBA superstar Tyler Haliburton. Night 1 saw an audience of 53,161 and Night 2 didn't disappoint either, as an audience of 60,561 was inside the arena. Night 2 also has six matches set for the night, just like Night 1. And fans were going absolutely wild cheering for their favorite wrestlers all throughout the event. The 38th SummerSlam has been chaotic, fun, surprising, and so much more. And as we close the big summer event of WWE , let's take a look at all the winners and top performers of the night. WWE Women's World Championship The opening match of Night 2 was a triple-threat fight featuring Naomi vs. IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley . Naomi initially wanted the other two to fight it out among themselves before she came in, but Ripley and Sky made an unspoken alliance to take on their opponent first. Naomi was like a beast as she put both Mami and the Japanese superstar through the pages. And though it seemed like things were making a turn, Naomi stacks Ripley for a pin to take the win. WWE Tag Team Championship This match was always going to be the biggest chaos of the night, and it didn't disappoint. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Wyatt Sicks - the reigning tag team champions faced 5 other tag teams. #DIY, Street Profits, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns, and the duo of Andrade & Rey Fenix. The TLC match started with all 5 teams attacking the Wyatt Sicks' Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy. But before long, it was every team for themselves. And at long last, the Wyatt 6 won by retrieving the title belts and retaining their WWE Tag Team Championship. WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship The third match-up of the night was Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship title. Both women put on power-packed performances, and their third wheel, Bayley, also made a surprise entry. Though she wanted to help Valkyria win against Lynch, Bayley ended up becoming the reason for Lynch retaining the title, when a punch directed at Lynch ended up knocking Valkyria out. WWE United States Championship The fourth match of Night 2 was for the WWE United States Championship, featuring Solo Sikoa vs. Jacob Fatu . These two have had quite a few face-offs since Fatu decided to break away from Solo Sikoa's faction. And tonight they were on for a brutal Steel Cage fight. Jimmy Uso, who has been helping Fatu out recently also showed up tonight, as did The MFT. And finally, Tala Tonga kicked the cage door into Fatu, allowing Sikoa to fall out of it, and retaining his title belt. WWE Intercontinental Championship Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles has been a long time coming, but because Mysterio was missing in action for quite a while due to his injury, it had to be postponed until now. Styles started by smacking Mysterio around, who responded in kind by raining stomps. Mysterio finally hits Styles with the boot and a Frog Splash for the pin and win. Dominik Mysterio is still the WWE Intercontinental Champion. WWE Undisputed Championship John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes returns for a Street Fight at SummerSlam, and fans have been waiting for this for months. For the sixth time, Cena has returned to main event SummerSlam - which is also his last SummerSlam, this time facing The American Nightmare. In one of the most wholesome moments in Cena's Farewell tour, the fight ended after Rhodes saluted his hero and hit him with a Cross Rhodes to take the win. But it wouldn't be WWE if they didn't have a surprise at the end. And just when it seemed like the night would end on a good note, with the crowd cheering for John Cena, even though he lost, none other than Brock Lesnar showed up. His return has been discussed since last year, and with his return now, to confront Cena, it seems like an old rivalry is getting new flames before it comes to an end.
