Rassie will ease off on Bok experiments in Rugby Championship
Erasmus said he was satisfied with the 55-10 result but attributed a stop-start performance to having rotated the squad throughout the four-match series (including the non-Test match against the Barbarians).
In the three matches since the opener against the invitational team in Cape Town, the Bok selectors made 10, 15 and 16 personnel changes in successive weeks.
'We're fairly happy if you look over the four games,' Erasmus said. 'We scored close to 50 points in each match and apart from the first Italy Test defended pretty well.
'Georgia were physical and disruptive but that's not an excuse for us making so many errors. But I guess we must understand that if we chop and change teams like we have as we're building squad depth, you'll lose rhythm.

Fans wearing Springbok jerseys back national team
Springbok fans gathered on Saturday afternoon at Die Kantoor Pub and Restaurant in Lynnwood to support their team against Georgia. As was expected, the Springboks crushed Georgia 55–10 in their international July campaign held at Bombela stadium. Chef Shane Martin from the restaurant said fans had a great time watching the match, enjoying food and drinks. Rugby supporters arrived early to get their seats before the start of the match. Edwin Magangane said singing the national anthem and wearing the Springbok jersey is his way to show support and encourage the Boks to play their best. He encouraged everyone to always support the national team by wearing the national team's jerseys. 'Watching the national team play at the restaurant is always fun, especially when we win and luckily, the Boks don't disappoint,' said Magangane. The fans were also celebrating the Springboks' successful stint in the season so far and many agreed the road ahead of the rugby championship looked bright. The Springboks' next match will be against Australia on August 16, followed by New Zealand on August 23. Fans are certain to flock to the big screens again to support their team. RIP: Former Springbok captain passes away
In sad news that came to light on Monday, SA Rugby paid tribute to former Springbok captain and flanker Des van Jaarsveldt, who passed away earlier on Monday at the age of 96. Desmond Charles van Jaarsveldt was the oldest living Springbok. He played in one Test, when he captained South Africa against Scotland on 30 April 1960, scoring a try in the 18-10 victory at the erstwhile Boet Erasmus Stadium in Gqeberha. Born on 31 March 1929 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Van Jaarsveldt played for the Springboks from Rhodesia, as the country was known at the time. Van Jaarsveldt, who made more than 60 provincial appearances for Rhodesia from 1947 to 1962 and captained them in the Currie Cup, remained involved in rugby after hanging up his boots as a coach and administrator, and he was also involved with the South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA). 'Des will not only be remembered as the oldest living Springbok in the last number of years, but he was a leader with a deep love for the game who leaves behind a wonderful legacy,' said Alexander. 'He will not only be remembered for his achievements on the rugby field, but Des was also an accomplished boxer and athlete, and was devoted to assisting and giving back to sport in his native Zimbabwe. 'On behalf of the South African rugby family, I would like to honour his legacy as a former national captain and someone who ploughed back into our beloved game, and I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones in this very sad and difficult time.' From fullback to scrumhalf, South Africa can call upon different world-class players, each offering unique skills while maintaining a consistently high standard as seen during the four mid-year internationals. It says a lot about the side if players of the quality such as veteran outside centre Lukhanyo Am and Jaden Hendrikse, both World Cup winners, and Jordan Hendrikse are left on the outskirts and unable to crack a nod to be part of a match-day squad. He was ably backed up by youngster Aphelele Fassi, who has shown brilliant consistency when called upon. Fassi with his left boot, as well as attacking runs, has been a brilliant addition to the Boks' attack. Centurion Willie le Roux's experience and game awareness remain invaluable. All three of them provide that attacking spark, but with their different traits, they equip the Bok backline with various skills when on the park. The Springboks have no shortage of options at the back with these three in control. Wings South Africa's wings are known for their explosive pace and physicality. While a first-choice pairing has clearly been established over the last year in Cheslin Kolbe and Kurt-Lee Arendse, veteran Makazole Mapimpi hardly disappoints, while the arrival of Edwill van der Merwe brought more pace, sidestepping and an eye for tries. If they are not running the ball, they can pepper opposition with box kicks, which the four chasers achieving plenty of success. They complement each other, ensuring the Boks can rotate without compromising on quality. Centres In the midfield, Damian de Allende and Jessé Kriel form one of the most balanced centre partnerships in world rugby. De Allende's power and direct running perfectly complement Kriel's defensive brilliance and playmaking. Two other midfielders in André Esterhuizen and Canan Moodie provided the perfect depth, and they should be the second combination going forward. They are almost like-for-like replacements, looking at what De Allende and Kriel bring to the system. Debutant Ethan Hooker has also shown potential. Youth is on the side of Esterhuizen and Moodie as they continue to grow their partnership. Their strength on both sides of the ball and ability to gel together quickly will enable Erasmus to rotate the centre pairing more to keep De Allende fresh. Flyhalf With the Springbok attack evolving at a rapid rate, Manie Libbok has shown over the last couple of weeks why he is the top No 10 for the Springboks. His game next to Grant Williams brings the best out of the side when they run with the ball. Libbok's awareness of space and decision making on the attack is up there, and it will be difficult for the Boks to keep him off the park at this rate. Handré Pollard remains the option when it comes to composure. He doesn't play the game like Libbok, but he brings a different calmness to the team that only he can. His goal-kicking remains his strong point, although Libbok has improved immensely. Able to adapt to what is asked of him, he is head and shoulders above the other South African scrumhalves. Known for his sniping runs and quick service, Williams was outstanding against Italy and Georgia. De Klerk and Reinach's knowledge of the game is invaluable and how they pass it on to Williams and Morné van den Berg, who can be happy with his playing minutes, will be crucial for the South Africans as they head into the Rugby Championship.
