BBC viewers slam 'cringe' Eurovision Song Contest 2025
Presenters Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer were at the helm for the night's festivities as 26 acts battled it out for the coveted trophy.
However, the trio's pre-recorded opening segment failed to impress, leaving viewers less than thrilled.
It isn't the first time something appears to have gone wrong at Eurovision either.
Fans quickly voiced their opinions on X, formerly known as Twitter, with one viewer commenting: "why are the presenters always cringe? #Eurovision.", reports Wales Online.
Another chimed in: "Awful cringe hosting but loving to randomness of the hosts costumes #Eurovision."
A third viewer remarked: "cringe opening #Eurovision." While a fourth questioned: "Why are the intros always so awkward? #Eurovision #ESC2025."

EastEnders fans may be disappointed tonight as the BBC soap has been taken off its usual 7.30pm slot on BBC One - and won't be back on air again until next week EastEnders fans won't be able to take their usual Thursday visit to Albert Square tonight, as the soap has been taken off air yet again in another huge schedule shake-up. The BBC soap has seen huge changes in the schedule over the past few weeks with major sporting events such as Wimbledon and the Women's Euros broadcasting on the BBC. Although Wimbledon came to an end over the weekend, the Women's Euros are still in full swing - affecting EastEnders ' schedule. The Lionesses are still very much in the running to take home the title with their quarter final against Sweden being broadcast on the BBC tonight from 7pm, wrapping up at 10.15pm. This means that unfortunately there's no room for EastEnders on tonight's schedule. However, EastEnders fans still received their two hour dose of Walford drama this week, as the soap aired a double bill on Tuesday night. The dramatic episodes saw Karen Henthorn reprise her role as Julie Bates after 27 years as Jay Brown contacted her to let her know Nigel was in Walford. Julie wasn't best pleased that Nigel and Phil had kept her in the dark, and towards the end of the double bill, she was seen taking Nigel home to Scotland. A heartbroken Phil couldn't bring himself to say goodbye to his best friend - but is it the last we'll see of Nigel? EastEnders fans will have to wait until Monday for the next instalment, and once again, they'll have to deal with another schedule shake-up. Fans will be treated to another double bill on Monday night, with both episodes dropping at 6am on iPlayer. For those who want to wait until the evening, the first episode will be airing on BBC One at 7.30pm, with the second airing straight after at 8pm. The soap will air in its usual 7.30pm slot on Tuesday, however will be taken off air again next Wednesday for the second semi-final of the Women's Euros. Business will commence as usual on Thursday evening, as the soap will be back in its usual 7.30pm slot. Spoilers for next week tease an explosive week for the soap, as the new owners of the Queen Vic will be revealed. It's the end of an era for the Carters as Linda and her mother Elaine agreed to sell. Next week, the auction will begin as a bidding war ensues between the Slaters, the Beales and a developer. But who will emerge victorious? Elsewhere, it looks like Max Branning may not be too far away from returning to Walford as Linda Carter decides to tell Oscar the fact her daughter Annie is his biological half-sister. Oscar's father Max Branning has no idea Linda's daughter is his child. Oscar decides Max needs to know the truth and is keen to tell him, leaving Linda terrified. Lauren Branning is tasked with trying to reason with her brother - is Max's return sooner than we think?

The BBC's head of comedy, Jon Petrie added: "Brendan has created an iconic comedy character in Agnes Brown. "Mrs. Brown's Boys is a BAFTA-winning comedy show and one of the BBC's most-watched comedies ever. I'm proud to have it in the BBC Comedy stable." The BBC have also reportedly commissioned a full series of a new comedy starring Mrs Brown's Boys star Brendan O'Carroll alongside Tommy Cannon. Filming on the series is due to commence in July and will air on BBC One. Titled Shedites, Mrs Brown's Boys star Brendan Carroll plays the lead role 'Jimmy', with Tommy Cannon starring as his best friend. The pair embark on heavy-drinking sessions and abuse drugs in a desperate attempt to stay 'hip'. Eddie constantly chases bizarre fads and fails to lose weight whilst her disappointed and neglected daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) looks on. Little Britain (2003 - 2006) - The premise is simple. A sketch show which features different British people from all walks of life that are engaged in all sorts of comical scenarios. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the pair created iconic pop culture characters. Viewers loved obnoxious council estate teenager Vicky Pollard, morbidly obese scrounger Bubbles Devere, slimming coach Marjorie Dawes, despondent office worker Carol Beer, disgraced politician Sir Norman Fry, of course the iconic Lou and Andy! The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2015) - A sketch show starring the likes of Catherine Tate. She made iconic characters such as rowdy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper with her line 'Am I bovvered?'. Other characters featured Bernie the nurse, the aga saga woman, complaining couple Janice and Ray, and of course her infamous 'Nan', Joannie Taylor. The last character herself spawned multiple specials and even a movie. Gavin and Stacey (2007 - Present) The series tells the story of Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page). The pair embarked on an online and telephone romance for six months. But when they finally decide to be together properly, their friends and family get in the way. Ruth Jones and James Corden created the beloved show, which has been going for over a decade. The 2019 Christmas special was the most-watched comedy in 17 years and the most-viewed non-sporting event in a decade. "The sitcom isn't dead but it needs a couple of Berocca. And a black americano with two sugars." News of the Mrs Browns boys return comes after Brendan O'Carroll was forced to issue a grovelling apology after he cracked a 'joke' using the N-word in front of a junior member of production who was so upset they later quit. Last year, the BBC temporarily halted filming of the show's Christmas special after Brendan made the attempted gag which he later admitted it had backfired. A TV insider said: 'Virtually everyone in the room on the day that the outburst happened were shocked, but the reading continued for some time without anyone saying or doing anything as they were so stunned. 'There was no excuses for what he said or any kind of context or mitigation he could provide for making the slur, he just seemed to think it was amusing.' Brendan said of the incident: 'At a read-through of the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas specials, there was a clumsy attempt at a joke, where a racial term was implied. 'It backfired and caused offence, which I deeply regret and for which I have apologised.'

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is confront another nightmare in EastEnders next week – coming clean to Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) about his half-sister Annie. As viewers of the BBC One soap will recall, his father Max (Jake Wood) decided it was time to leave Albert Square and join daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) and grandson Louie in New Zealand back in 2021. His brief love affair with Linda was in tatters, and after landing himself in hot water, he had no future in the area. Little did he realise, she was pregnant with his daughter, and decided to keep her birth a closely guarded secret. Upon Lauren's return to Walford last year, she was introduced to Annie, though chose not to say anything to her estranged father. Given recent scenes have shown Max ignoring her calls, it seems that the two haven't been in touch for quite some time. Now Linda faces a fresh hurdle – as she realises Max's son Oscar is living across the road. It couldn't come at a worse time for the landlady, as she prepares to give up her beloved Queen Vic and move onto pastures new. The auctioneer arrives to get the boozer under the hammer, with the Slaters planning to place the winning bid with Martin Fowler's (James Bye) life insurance money. Unfortunately for Kat (Jessie Wallace), her plans to reinstate herself behind the bar are stunted by Stacey (Lacey Turner), who drops the bombshell that she can't give her the money after all. This seems to come following a mysterious message from Kat's husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who is in Barcelona searching for her eldest daughter Zoe (Michelle Ryan). As the family rally around to think of a solution, Stacey has a sudden change of mind and tells Kat to head back to the pub to get bidding. More Trending It's a tense moment as a bidding war ensues between Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and a property developer, but who will succeed? The following day, Linda is looking forward to her fresh start and decides to come clean to Oscar about Annie. It doesn't exactly go to plan, though – he wants Max to know everything.
