Beyoncé Closes the Cowboy Carter London Shows in Stunning Gold Fringed Chaps
For a performance of 'BLACKBIIRD,' which is her cover of the famous Beatles song, Mrs. Carter tapped the designer (and McCartney's daughter) Stella McCartney for a custom look. She wore a white bodysuit adorned with two blackbirds on the front (the word 'BLACKBIIRD' is also etched into the white fabric) and gold fringed chaps, handcrafted at the Stella McCartney London atelier. She topped off the look with gold heels, a diamond necklace, and diamond jewelry. The full outfit also included a white floor-length coat, a white cowboy hat, and aviator shades.
Beyoncé posted several shots of her look on Instagram and even included a (very rare) caption to accompany the photos. 'Thank you, Sir Paul McCartney, for writing one of the best songs ever made,' she wrote. 'Every time I sing it I feel so honored. And it is a full circle moment to wear your beautiful daughter's design.'
She went on to give a shout-out to London and tease her next tour. 'Thank you, London, for creating unforgettable memories for me and my family. Holla at 'ya when I come on tour again!'
The pop star also brought the white coat and white cowboy hat combo out for another look, which was a stunning blue rhinestone jumpsuit with a bald eagle embroidered on it. (The coat had an eagle on the back, too.) She posted the outfit in another Instagram carousel, which also included a few other new fashion moments.
In one shot, she's shown in an all-black outfit, wearing a corset, leather pants with lace detailing, a cowboy hat, a silver belt, and a veil. In another, she wears chunky tan belts as a top and pairs the look with denim shorts, a fringe jacket, white furry boots, brown gloves, and a hat that says, 'BNCNTRY,' which is a nod to her website where she's been posting personal and professional photos that honor her country roots.

City venue prepares to host Proms for first time
A city venue is preparing to host the BBC Proms for the first time. The Fire Station in Sunderland will host the jazz saxophonist Soweto Kinch later. He will be presenting a special edition of his Radio 3 show Round Midnight, which celebrates jazz from all eras and around the globe. "There's such a breadth and diversity of expression within what we call jazz," said Kinch. Other guests expected at the Fire Station include jazz trumpeter Theo Croker, the band Joe Webb Trio and Newcastle-based musician Rivkala. On Friday pop star Jade, who found fame as part of Little Mix, will be at the Glasshouse International Centre for Music. The South Shields-born singer will be performing songs from her upcoming solo album, alongside the Royal Northern Sinfonia with the concert broadcast live on BBC radio. She previously said: "The Proms is such a huge part of British music culture, and to be performing with a full orchestra - in this iconic venue, with my hometown crowd - is a dream." ‘Diciannove' Review: Stalling of Age
Twice in Giovanni Tortorici's 'Diciannove,' the aimless literature student Leonardo (Manfredi Marini) goes out clubbing with acquaintances. House music pounds as he swaggers across the dance floor, chugging liquor and making out with strangers. One of the scenes ends with Leonardo vomiting as his sister (Vittoria Planeta) pulls a sour face. The other finds him passed out and being carted off in an ambulance. That neither of these boozy sequences leads to emotional growth is part of the point of this often engaging and occasionally aggravating debut feature, which drifts through episodes from Leonardo's 19th year in a desultory fashion. ('Diciannove' means nineteen in Italian.) The movie opens in Palermo before trailing Leonardo to London and then Siena, where he swaps his degree only to shirk his studies, deride his professors and disdain his peers. Full of jerky editing and destabilizing cinematography — think quick zooms and unusual angles — the movie's chapters rarely follow the logic of cause and effect. Reshuffle our protagonist's spells of debauchery and misanthropy and not much changes narratively. Instead, 'Diciannove' subverts coming-of-age convention to linger in what starts to feel like a feature-length first act. For Leonardo, the immaturity is not a phase, nor does it crescendo into a lesson to be learned. It's just 19. If the dearth of character development is a gag, 'Diciannove' doesn't offer much of a punchline. But Tortorici's filmmaking is stylish enough to make even the slipperiest sequences pop. DiciannoveNot rated. In Italian and English, with subtitles. Running time: 1 hour 48 minutes. In theaters.

Kylian Mbappe handed Real Madrid No 10 shirt following Luka Modric departure
Kylian Mbappe will wear the No 10 shirt for Real Madrid next season after choosing to switch from the No 9 he wore in his debut campaign. Mbappe all but confirmed the change on social media on Wednesday, tweeting simply: '10'. Madrid's No 10 shirt is vacant for the first time since 2017 following Luka Modric's departure from the club earlier this summer. Advertisement Sources close to the situation, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect relationships, said the La Liga side had a policy of giving players preference for squad numbers based on their experience with the club. The club, though, has the final say, and Mbappe has been given the No. 10, despite interest from team-mates who have been with Madrid longer, because of his significance as a player. 10 — Kylian Mbappé (@KMbappe) July 23, 2025 Mbappe also wears the No 10 shirt for France, having worn No 29 – for Monaco and in his first season at Paris Saint-Germain – and the No 7 at PSG from 2018 onwards. Former Real Madrid No 10s include James Rodriguez, Mesut Ozil, Wesley Sneijder, Luis Figo and Clarence Seedorf. Cristiano Ronaldo also changed his shirt number early into his Madrid career. Like Mbappe, the Portugal international wore the No 9 after joining the club from Manchester United in the summer of 2009. He inherited Raul's No 7 shirt from the 2010/11 season onwards. In his debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mbappe scored 44 goals and provided five assists in 59 games. Real Madrid's first game of the 2025/26 La Liga season is against Osasuna on August 19. By Guillermo Rai There are plenty of iconic shirt numbers at Real Madrid, some more than others. The most prestigious one is probably No 7, as it has been worn by club legends including Emilio Butragueno, Raul and Cristiano Ronaldo – Mbappe's childhood idol. But after that, the No 10 holds special significance, having been worn for the past seven seasons by Luka Modric. Apart from the Croatia midfielder, some of the illustrious names to have worn that number in the past include Luis Figo, Clarence Seedorf, Mesut Ozil, Michael Laudrup and Ferenc Puskas. Mbappe has a personal story with it too. In the comic book he released about his life, one scene showed the Frenchman as a child unboxing a Real Madrid shirt for Christmas with the No 10 on the back. Advertisement With the No 7 occupied by Vinicius Junior, Mbappe will wear the same number he does for the French national team. 'A special number is offered to a very special player,' is how club sources have described the move. It also follows the announcement a week ago that Lamine Yamal would take the No 10 shirt so closely associated with Lionel Messi for Barcelona. Senior sources at Madrid expect Mbappe's change of shirt to have a positive commercial impact.
