My Airbnb didn't have a CO detector, so I bought this portable one (down to $19)

As an adult, I've adopted the saying "better safe than sorry" as sort of a motto. I use a flameless candle warmer instead of matches and lighters, check that my stove's burners are off before I go to bed every night and have carbon monoxide detectors on every floor. One note about the latter: They have to work! Can't remember when (or if) yours were updated? That likely means it's time for a new one. You can't put a price on safety, but $19 is extremely reasonable for a product that could save lives. This isn't the absolute lowest price I've seen for this model, but at over 30% off, it's one of the best prices it's been marked down to as of late.
True story: Because I'm a safety obsessive, I check every hotel room and Airbnb I stay in to see whether there's a carbon monoxide detector. Recently, I was at an Airbnb that only had smoke detectors. So what did I do? I went out and bought the Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector.
