Captain Luciano wants Perak to show respect and pay up players' wages
He said it was only right if Perak keep to their word and fulfill their financial obligations.
The Argentine midfielder is disheartened by what he perceived as a lack of respect from the club's leadership, particularly in light of the commitment the players had shown to help secure a respectable finish in the league.
Despite not receiving their wages for several months, the players stayed united and comitted to finish seventh in the league.
Currently back in Argentina, the 32-year-old, who is related to Liverpool and Argentina star Alexis Mac Allister, took to social media to express his discontent.
"As captain of Perak, I must voice out my disappointment regarding the treatment my teammates and I have endured. We showed dedication to the club and deserved to have all outstanding debts settled," he stated on his Instagram account.
But Guaycochea offered heartfelt gratitude to the state and devoted fans after announcing his departure from the club.

Soccer-Newcastle boss Howe confident Isak will stay on amid transfer speculation
Soccer Football - Premier League - Newcastle United v Everton - St James' Park, Newcastle, Britain - May 25, 2025 Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe reacts Action Images via Reuters/Lee Smith/File Photo (Reuters) -Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe said he is confident that striker Alexander Isak will be at the Premier League club at the start of the 2025-26 season, after leaving the Swede out of their 4-0 friendly loss to Celtic due to transfer talk. British media reported earlier this week that Premier League champions Liverpool were interested in signing the 25-year-old Sweden international, who has three years left on his Newcastle contract. Isak bagged 23 Premier League goals last season, only behind Liverpool talisman and Golden Boot winner Mohamed Salah (29). Isak, capped 52 times for his country, joined Newcastle from Spanish side Real Sociedad in 2022 and has since netted 62 times in 109 appearances for the Magpies across all competitions. "It was my decision. He travelled back to Glasgow with us but I decided to send him home due to the speculation around him," Howe told reporters after Saturday's match. "The last thing he wanted is to be sat in the stand watching, that wasn't fair to him. But I'm confident he will be a Newcastle player come the end of the window. "It's difficult for me to give 100% clarity on any player. Alex is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team. I'm confident he'll be here at the start of the season. "Yes, I've had discussions with him but that's not abnormal. I respect a player's career and how short it is. Alex has been really good, he's trained really well and I realise there'll be noise around him." Newcastle, who qualified for Champions League football after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season, will next be in action against Arsenal in a friendly match in Singapore next Sunday. Ex-England skipper Paul Ince gets 12-month ban for drink-driving
LONDON, July 19 — Former Liverpool and Manchester United star Paul Ince has been banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £7,085 (RM40,330) after a drink-driving offence. Ince admitted driving his black Range Rover while over the limit on June 28 in Cheshire. The ex-England captain had a reading of 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was stopped by police, Chester Magistrates court heard on Friday. Nigel Jones, prosecuting, said: 'On the day in question, the defendant was witnessed by an off-duty police officer driving a vehicle perceived to be swerving across the road.' He said the 57-year-old's car swerved across the central reservation, hitting bollards and causing two tyres to burst. Frank Rogers, defending Ince, said: 'My client finds himself today facing the huge impact of a ban, but he accepts he only has himself to blame for that. 'He misjudged the fact he believed at the time he would be under the limit.' Rogers said Ince had been at Heswall Golf Club and had not eaten before having two drinks in the clubhouse. 'He felt fine to drive, of course we now know that he shouldn't have done,' Rogers said. District Judge Jack McGarva told Ince: 'The message has got to be if you're going to drive you don't drink at all.' Ince, who also played for Inter Milan and West Ham, earned 53 caps for England, winning two Premier League titles among a host of trophies during his six years as a United midfielder. He moved into management after retiring, with his most recent spell in charge at Reading ending in 2023. — AFP

(EPA Images pic) LONDON : Liverpool are preparing to launch a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike after missing out on Newcastle's Alexander Isak, according to reports today. The Premier League champions have switched their focus to Ekitike following Newcastle's refusal to sell Sweden striker Isak, who is valued at around £150 million by the Magpies. The Reds are trying to complete a deal for France international Ekitike by this weekend after he reportedly indicated he was willing to move to Anfield. Liverpool are set to offer over £70 million for Ekitike, who has also attracted interest from Newcastle and Manchester United. The 23-year-old scored 22 goals in all competitions for Frankfurt last season after joining the Bundesliga club from Paris St-Germain. Liverpool have an opening in their forward line after Diogo Jota's recent death in a car crash in Spain. The Reds are also believed to be willing to sell Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez, while Colombia forward Luis Diaz has been the target of a rejected bid from Bayern Munich. Liverpool have already splashed out £116 million on Germany playmaker Florian Wirtz, as well as signing defenders Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez from Bayer Leverkusen and Bournemouth respectively. Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili has also linked up with Arne Slot's side since the end of last season after agreeing his move from Valencia in 2024.
