India's big rebuke to Pakistan and China, both countries not invited to global event to be held in Delhi, event is..., will feature 120...

New Delhi: Things are not the same between the Indian Army and the Pakistan Army since the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the ensuing Operation Sindoor. During the operation, China provided full support to Pakistan. What is UN Troop Contributor Chief Conclave? As a result of these two incidents, India will not be inviting the Pakistan Army to the United Nations (UN) Troop Contributor Chief Conclave, scheduled to take place in October this year in New Delhi. According to sources, China's PLA is also not invited. The United Nations (UN) Troop Contributor Chief Conclave will include an integrated firepower demonstration on the third day at the Pokhran Field Firing Range near the India-Pakistan border. It will be a four-day event. What is the UN Peacekeeping Mission? In this conference, the Indian Army is going to invite the heads of the armies of those countries that send their soldiers to the UN Peacekeeping Mission. At present, a total of 11 missions of the United Nations are going on across the world. Armies from about 120 countries are participating in these missions. Most of the soldiers currently deployed in the UN Peacekeeping Mission are from India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan. What is special about this year's UN Conclave? For the first time, the Indian Army is going to organise such a UN Conclave. But Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir has not been invited for this very special conference. Asim Munir is said to be the mastermind of the Pahalgam massacre carried out by the Pakistani terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba's offshoot, TRF (The Resistance Force). Indian Army's current deployment At present, about five thousand (5000) soldiers of the Indian Army are deployed in 9 out of 11 missions of the United Nations. The Indian Army is deployed from civil war-torn Sudan and Congo to the disputed Golan Heights between Israel-Syria-Lebanon. Many times, soldiers of India and Pakistan are deployed together in these missions. But after the Pahalgam attack, the Indian Army has decided to completely sever ties with the Pakistani Army.

Long-range precision hits had psychological impact on Pakistan: CDS

NEW DELHI: Long-range precision strikes during the cross-border hostilities in May caused "a huge psychological impact" in Pakistan, chief of defence staff General Anil Chauhan said on Tuesday, reiterating that Operation Sindoor had not yet been called off. The CDS emphasised the need to adapt swiftly to disruptive technologies, rethink legacy structures and prioritise synergy across the Army, Navy and IAF to tackle the challenges emanating from the constantly evolving nature of warfare. "War and politics are closely related. Wars are often fought to achieve political purposes. Today, we see very short, precise wars - like in Operation Sindoor - where political goals are achieved through rapid and targeted action," the CDS said at the inaugural edition of the Annual Trident Lecture Series organised by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies. Noting that "domination" through impact and effect is the new norm, the CDS said Operation Sindoor was not undertaken to capture territory or prisoners of war. "There were very long-range precision strikes (at selected targets). The impact was important. Physical was less, but the psychological impact was much more. (India) could hit very, very deep inside with precision," he said. "It created a huge impact psychologically, displaying sophistication and superiority. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo This is the matrix of victory today, it has nothing to do with territory. This is how domination is changing," he added. In keeping with the "new norms" laid down by the govt, the CDS said the Indian armed forces need to maintain "a very high order" of operational preparedness around-the-clock. Cross-border terrorism will get the appropriate response from India and terrorists can no longer find safe haven within Pakistan, he said.

Ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, PM Modi says NDA a cohesive unit

Synopsis Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the Bihar polls, emphasized the NDA's unity and urged MPs to collaborate effectively. He fondly remembered key figures like Balasaheb Thackeray, George Fernandes, and Nitish Kumar, highlighting their role in forming the NDA government. Ahead of Bihar polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday emphasised that NDA is a cohesive unit, a natural and organic alliance, and asked MPs to work as a team during outreach activities. In his first address to NDA MPs in over a year, Modi remembered Shiv Sena founder the late Balasaheb Thackeray and the late JDU leader George Fernandes, and fondly mentioned Bihar CM Nitish Kumar as 'Nitish Babu'. The PM asserted that after these leaders joined hands, the NDA government was formed and reforms started, sources said. By mentioning Fernandes and Nitish, Modi has sent out a key message before Bihar polls. MPs took special note of Modi conveying wishes to home minister Amit Shah for becoming the longest-serving incumbent in his ministry, overtaking BJP veteran LK Advani, a co-founder of the grouping in 1998. "It is just the beginning... There's a long way to go," Modi said about Shah, triggering buzz among NDA MPs. Shah has been at the helm since the Modi 2.0 government took over in 2019, and his stint is of six years and 65 days so far. Parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju later told reporters that the PM spoke about NDA's long and successful PM said the Opposition must be regretting its decision to seek a debate on the terror strike and India's military response, according to sources. Modi recalled that he had begun his reply in the Lok Sabha with the assertion that he would present the "stand of Bharat" and praised the points made by NDA speakers. Modi also took a swipe at leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, a day after the Congress leader was pulled up by the Supreme Court for his claim of China encroaching on Indian land under the current government. Gandhi makes childish and unsubstantiated comments about Indian territory and security, and the court has served him a lesson, Modi Modi for Operation Sindoor, NDA resolution said, "The NDA Parliamentary Party lauds the exceptional leadership displayed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during these times. His unwavering resolve, visionary statesmanship and resolute command have not only steered the nation with purpose but also ignited a renewed spirit of unity and pride in the hearts of all Indians."
