New TSA line to reduce overall wait times

The United States Department of Homeland Security has launched the 'Families on the Fly' campaign to alleviate stress for families travelling through airports.
The initiative features dedicated family lanes for TSA security, designed to reduce overall wait times and streamline the screening process.
Families can also benefit from a discounted TSA PreCheck cost of $85 per person, down from $100.
The campaign is currently implemented at Orlando International and Charlotte-Douglas International airports, with plans for expansion to several other US airports.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also indicated that changes to the amount of liquids travellers can carry in their hand luggage are under consideration.

U.S city tops Time Out ranking of the 20 best places in the world for nightlife

Las Vegas has suffered a drop in visitor numbers recently, with " ridiculous prices" to blame. But there's more than one reason to go against the grain and book a vacation there. For one, we revealed insider tips for enjoying Sin City on a budget, from the best-value hotels to book to a pro tip for getting a discount after you've checked in. Secondly, it's just been crowned the global nightlife capital. It tops Time Out's 20-strong ranking of the best cities in the world for nightlife for 2025. The list was compiled by a survey of 18,500 people around the world, who were asked about nightlife and going out in their city. Each city was ranked according to how locals rated the quality and affordability of the nightlife scene, from clubbing to entertainment, coupled with the thoughts of Time Out city editors, and arts and culture writers. Las Vegas is lauded by Time Out for its DJ-oriented raves and hidden speakeasies. Las Vegas expert Ryan Slattery says: "Nightlife in Las Vegas famously centres around top DJs spinning EDM or hip hop in enormous resort nightclubs. "But in recent years, there's been a shift to a more low-key nightlife venue: the cocktail bar." He continues: "Many of these cocktail lounges – Stray Pirate, Doberman and Nocturno, to name a few – can be found in the city's thriving Arts District, a walkable downtown neighborhood of vintage shops, breweries and restaurants. "Vegas also has a slew of tiki bars and dozens of speakeasies; spots hidden inside a working barbershop, behind a bookcase of a Mamak stall at Resorts World or in the basement of the Mob Museum. There's even one called The Lock that you crawl into through a safe door." Second place in the ranking goes to Madrid, "home to an incredibly diverse nightlife scene with outstanding bars and clubs". In third place is Paris, which Time Out acknowledges is expensive, but declares that going out there is "worth every penny". The guide adds: "Parisian nightlife is going through a new golden age right now with Queer collectives like La Créole, Divin0 and Le Bunker lighting up the city with joyous, inclusive and intersectional parties where dancehall, perreo and afrobeats ring out, proving that techno no longer has a monopoly on the dancefloor." Disney World is giving away FREE $100 gift cards to annual passholders… but there's a catch

If you've been thinking about finally splurging on a Disney World Annual Pass, now might be the time to do it. For a limited time, Disney is offering up to a $100 Disney Gift Card eGift when you purchase a new Annual Pass to Walt Disney World. But before you get too excited, there are a few things you should know - and yes, there's a catch. First, this offer only applies to new Annual Passes. If you're hoping to renew your current pass or stack this on top of another discount, you're out of luck. Disney specifically notes that the promotion cannot be combined with any other discount or offer, including renewal discounts. The amount you'll receive also depends on the type of Annual Pass you purchase. The highest value comes with the Disney Incredi-Pass, which includes a $100 Disney Gift Card eGift. This pass is available to everyone and has no blockout dates. If you're a Florida resident or a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can snag the Disney Sorcerer Pass and get a $75 Disney Gift Card eGift. The Disney Pirate Pass, available only to Florida residents, includes a $50 Disney Gift Card eGift. And finally, the Disney Pixie Pass - also exclusive to Florida residents - comes with a $25 Disney Gift Card eGift. Once you purchase a new pass, Disney will send the gift card via email within a few days to the address provided during checkout. So yes, you'll have to wait a bit before you start spending it on Mickey pretzels or those Minnie ears you've been eyeing. It's worth noting that these gift cards can be used pretty much anywhere on Disney property - from dining and shopping to hotel stays and even park tickets. While Disney hasn't shared an end date for the promo, it is described as a 'limited time' offer, so don't expect it to last forever. This deal might be Disney's way of encouraging more guests to invest in annual passes again after its operating income dropped drastically earlier this year. If you're not sure which pass to get, Disney's website has a comparison tool to help you figure out what's worth it based on how often you go, where you live, and what blockout dates you're okay with. The Incredi-Pass, while the most expensive, comes with the fewest restrictions and the biggest gift card bonus. For Florida locals who visit the parks often, the lower-tier passes still offer some solid perks - and the free gift card is a nice little cherry on top. Ultimately, if you've been on the fence about becoming an Annual Passholder, this promo might be the push you needed. Just remember to read the fine print and double-check that you're eligible before you buy - because once you're in, there's no turning back (or refunding that pass).

Furious Spirit Airlines passenger lashes out after being banned for her outfit: 'They treated me like a criminal'

A Spirit Airlines passenger claims she was banned from boarding a flight over the length of her shorts. Tanasia Grayer was stopped by gate agents at Miami International Airport on July 16 as she tried to board a Spirit flight bound for Chicago. The frustrated passenger claims she was wearing short athletic shorts, a cropped workout shirt and a fluffy pink robe as she tried to board the flight. 'She stopped me and said: "You're not getting on a plane like that",' Grayer told CBS News. 'So I looked at her and I said, "Like what?" She said, "With those shorts".' Tensions heightened even more when Grayer's sister Jessica Kordelewski became confrontational with airport security officials and screamed: 'I'm confused, this is crazy, this is insane'. Kordelewski was later arrested and accused of disorderly conduct and trespassing after being issued with a warning. She has since been released. Grayer claims the airline 'treated me like a criminal' for wearing what she describes as 'normal shorts'. Bur Spirit claims the traveler was 'not in compliance with our Contract of Carriage', which details clothing standards for all passengers, and 'refused to comply when provided an opportunity to do so'. The airline updated its Contract of Carriage policy in January this year, issuing stricter guidelines on what passengers can wear while onboard its aircraft. Guests will not be permitted on a flight and may be required to leave if they are 'barefoot or inadequately clothed'. The policy also bans clothing or body art that is 'lewd, obscene or offensive in nature'. Listed examples include see-through clothing that exposes breasts, buttocks or other sensitive areas. But Grayer insists her outfit did not violate the policy, telling CBS that she wore her robe so that her clothing was 'not too revealing'. She argued that a staff member 'should've told me' during the 40 minutes she spent in Miami airport. 'That way I could've went and changed my clothes to put anything else on,' she said. Grayer also claims that not only did she walk through the airport in the outfit without any incident, but also wore similar length shorts on her original flight to Miami. Spirit, in a statement to Daily Mail, said the sisters were 'denied boarding after displaying disruptive behavior'. 'We always want our Guests to feel welcome and have a great experience. Consistent with other US airlines, our Contract of Carriage contains certain clothing standards for all Guests traveling with us,' a Spirit spokesperson told Daily Mail. 'Our records show a Guest was not in compliance with our Contract of Carriage and refused to comply when provided an opportunity to do so. The Guest and their travel companion were eventually denied boarding after displaying disruptive behavior. Further questions should be directed to law enforcement.' The pair ended up flying home on another airline as Kordelewski is now on Spirit's 'no fly' list, according to reports. The sisters have also vowed that they 'won't be back in Miami at all'. Grayer claims in the future she will avoid wearing outfits resembling the one she wore in Miami just to ensure a similar issue does not arise.
