Speaking to 947's Robert Marawa in recent months, the club's sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., was asked if Kaizer Chiefs had any interest in the talented winger.
Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Another striker
'Oswin is a top talent, what we can say about him… I mean, I don't know any club in the country who would not want to sign Oswin,' Motaung said.
'What we are trying to do is the best that we can. It is to fulfil not only what the supporters want, but we know we need to get the best talent in order to achieve our goals. So we want to bring top players.
'So what I can say is, he is a top player. We are working tirelessly so we can bring top players to the team. We would love to have him,' the Kaizer Chiefs leader continued.
'We have said it before. We would love to have him. We had talks with the chairman of Polokwane City, not just only about Oswin… other players also.
'It is a process that is ongoing,' Motaung concluded.
Unfortunately for Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates won the race.

Did Kaizer Chiefs sign Orlando Pirates rejects?
Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signings of Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane on Thursday. The two defenders were previously in the books of Orlando Pirates before they were released a couple of weeks ago. Just after they left Mayfair, the two were already linked to Amakhosi. This week, Chiefs unveiled three new players. On Thursday, Mako and Monyane were announced as new additions to the squad that will head to the Netherlands for their pre-season training. 'Kaizer Chiefs are delighted to announce the signings of Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako as their two new acquisitions after announcing three other players earlier this week,' the club said in a statement. 'Previously with Orlando Pirates, the pair bring valuable experience to Naturena, having won trophies and participated in the CAF Champions League in recent seasons. Mako, born in Zebediela, Limpopo, plays as a left wingback, while Monyane operates as a right back in the defensive line. The duo will reinforce Amakhosi's rear guard with their versatility and work rate. The team will travel to the Netherlands tonight for a pre-season training camp,' the statement concluded. Kaizer Chiefs have already signed Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva and Nkanyiso Shinga this week. With five new players, Amakhosi will feel like they have a stronger squad compared to last season but many fans feel the squad still lacks compared to their rivals.
