Disney+ announces reboot of legendary dating show, along with reality series The Rooneys exploring Wayne and Coleen's relationship 'like never before'

Disney+ has announced the reboot of a legendary dating show along with a new reality series set to explore Wayne and Coleen Rooney 's relationship 'like never before'.
Blind Date was famously hosted by the late Cilla Black from 1985 to 2003 and now the show will return to screens 'bigger, better, and bolder than ever'.
The new ten-part series will start in a secret location and contestants will be faced with the choice between three potential suitors who will be hidden away behind the legendary 'Blind Date' wall.
Disney+ promises 'head-turning' twists as the couples spend the summer living together, and production is set to begin later this year.
The iconic British game show originally saw a contestant question three potential dates hidden behind a screen – which would then slide back to reveal their chosen match.
Though not yet officially confirmed, it was previously reported the new version will take place on a tropical island, just like ITV 's Love Island, hosted by Maya Jama – with contestants battling it out for a dream wedding on golden sands.
A TV insider previously told The Sun: 'This sounds like a radical departure from the old Blind Date, one that definitely has hints of Love Island about it.
'But fans will recall a lot of the dates took place in hot, sunny climes abroad, and producers want to recapture some of the steamy fun, and expand upon that.
'Even the wedding element has hints of the old show because the dream was always that the dates on the programme would lead to couples tying the knot.'
Meanwhile, Disney has also announced a new premium access series titled The Rooneys, and filming is already underway.
The ten part doc-series will delve into the footballer and WAG's lives 'like we've never seen them before'.
It is set to see Coleen tackle 'new entrepreneurial endeavours' and Wayne stepping away from the football pitch to do school runs.
The new show has 'unprecedented access' into their world and dives into their everyday life, including highs like holidays and celebrations as well as the lows.
Disney+ has also announced a third new programme, Jamie and Sophie: Raising Chelsea.
The ten part doc-series will delve into the footballer and WAG's lives 'like we've never seen them before'
With filming already commencing, it is set to follow Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo as they embark on the journey of parenthood together.
The couple said: 'For nearly a decade, we've brought audiences along the highs and lows of our personal and professional lives through TV, radio, social media and our podcasts.
'It's such an honour to now partner with the incredible teams at Disney+ and Dorothy St Pictures to bring our next chapter to viewers across the globe.
'Navigating our lives with a baby on the way has opened up a whole new stage of our relationship – we can't wait to give you a front row seat!'
Disney+ boss Sean Doyle said: 'We've seen great success over the past couple of years with our Disney+ Original unscripted series such as 'Finding Michael', 'Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story', 'Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story' and more recently, 'Flintoff'.
'Our distinctive offering of combining the most talked-about household names and their incredible life experiences has hit the right note with our audiences who are looking for authentic and captivating real-life stories.
'As our slate evolves, we want to continue working with world-class producers and homegrown talent in the reality space, with a focus on female-skewed factual.
'These shows will complement our existing and iconic reality offering from our US studio partners, including The Kardashians and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
'We're really grateful to be working with the Rooney's again, along with Jamie and Sophie for the first time, and Blind Date is a brilliant opportunity to bring everyone's favourite dating show to a large scale with the potential to resonate with a whole new generation.'

Stirling joked that beloved-but-dumped islander Jeremiah Brown was returning as a waiter for two other contestants who were on a date. Fans were not happy when this didn't turn out to be the case, as they were hopeful that he was about to make a comeback. Speaking to E! News, Iain said: 'I'll be honest, it was, perhaps, a misjudgement by me. 'I genuinely thought people would appreciate the nod to him, because we very rarely talk about it, but if you think about it, it's an unwritten rule that I never really joke about the islanders once they've gone. I'll maybe do a joke as they're leaving. So it's a big deal.' He continued: 'It was a genuine statement of love that I mentioned Jeremiah after he'd already left the show. I thought people would be, 'Oh, that's funny.' He was such an intrinsic part of the show. Some people did take it as such, and then some people sadly didn't, and I apologize to those people.'
