Teej-Ready Essentials: Must-Have Vanity Picks For A Glamorous Hariyali Teej Look
Preparing for Hariyali Teej is as much about spiritual connection as it is about embracing the beauty of tradition
Hariyali Teej isn't just a celebration, it's a heartfelt expression of love, devotion, and tradition. Observed during the monsoon season, this auspicious festival holds deep cultural significance, especially for married women who fast from sunrise to moonrise as a gesture of love, prayer, and well-being for their husbands. It's a day filled with vibrant rituals, traditional songs, swings adorned with flowers, and the unmistakable charm of mehendi-stained hands.
Whether you're joining the festivities for the first time or it's a cherished yearly ritual, preparing for Hariyali Teej is as much about spiritual connection as it is about embracing the beauty of tradition. From timeless attire to graceful adornments, every detail adds to the magic of the day.
Here are five must-have essentials that will help you look and feel your best, elegant, rooted in culture, and ready to shine this Teej.
1. Elegant Handloom Cotton or Silk Saree
Hariyali Teej celebrates age-old traditions, and there's no better way to honour that spirit than by draping yourself in an exquisite handloom saree. Shades of green and red — symbolic of fertility, love, and prosperity — are especially popular during this festival. Opt for breathable cotton for daytime comfort or luxurious silk for a more regal vibe.
For a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary charm, explore Mohey by Manyavar's curated saree collection. Their handloom-inspired pieces beautifully capture cultural elegance while offering modern silhouettes, making them ideal for both rituals and festive gatherings.
2. Smell Fresh All Day: The Perfect Fragrance Companion
A captivating fragrance doesn't just complete your look — it enhances your presence. The ITC Engage Mini EDP Gift Set for Women is your go-to pick for the occasion. This thoughtfully curated set features four distinct EDPs, each with its own unique blend — from lively fruity notes to delicate florals.
These long-lasting fragrances are perfect for the woman who wants to feel refreshed, radiant, and confident throughout the day. Whether you're dressing up for a puja or heading to a family gathering, let your scent tell a story of elegance, joy, and celebration.
3. Power Lips: The Finishing Touch to Your Teej Glam
No festive look is complete without the perfect pop of color on your lips. A quick swipe can instantly brighten your face and tie your entire ensemble together. The Lakmé 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipstick is a must-have in your Teej vanity.
Its built-in primer ensures a smooth, even finish, while the matte formula offers long-lasting, smudge-proof wear, perfect for all-day celebrations. With a wide range of shades specially curated to flatter Indian skin tones, you can find the ideal hue to complement your saree, jewelry, and the vibrant spirit of Hariyali Teej. From soft nudes to festive reds and rich maroons, there's a shade for every mood and moment.
4. Regal Radiance: Elevate Your Look with a Kundan Maang Tikka
When it comes to festive dressing, it's often the little details that leave the most lasting impression. A traditional Kundan maang tikka adds an instant touch of royalty to your Teej ensemble, resting beautifully on the forehead and symbolizing grace, heritage, and feminine strength.
Explore timeless pieces from Amrapali Jewels, known for their intricate craftsmanship and regal aesthetics. Their gold-toned Kundan maang tikkas blend classic design with contemporary finesse, making them the perfect statement accessory. From Neem Juice To Tangdi Kebabs: A Look At Diljit Dosanjh's Recent Foodie Escapade
It's always a visual feast when Diljit Dosanjh uploads a video of his culinary outings. A big-time foodie, the Punjabi icon brings his signature charm to every epicurean adventure. This time was no exception. In the clip posted on Instagram, Diljit offered fans a glimpse into his vibrant menu, starting from what he has first thing in the morning, to his morning meal and diverse lunch session. The video opens to Diljit Dosanjh speaking in a fun, broken English. "Today we are making green grass juice," he shares before preparing the healthy drink with neem leaves, a little turmeric and some water in a blender. Although the singer gulps down the entire glass and one of his team members follows, their reactions make it clear that the beverage wasn't exactly a crowd-pleaser. Next, Diljit Dosanjh indulges in a scrumptious yet nutrient-packed breakfast. Arranged beautifully on the table was a bowl filled with dahlia, a staple morning dish made from cracked wheat. Diljit adds a generous portion of protein powder into it, followed by some pomegranate and surajmukhi (sunflower) seeds for the perfect blend of flavour, texture, and a wholesome punch. We also spotted crispy and golden omelettes, a delectable fruit salad spread featuring what appeared to be pineapple, watermelon, avocado and kiwi slices, coupled with a few blueberries and some dates. That's not all, there was a plate of grilled avocado toast and two glasses of orange juice as well. Phew! View this post on Instagram A post shared by DILJIT DOSANJH (@diljitdosanjh) After that, Diljit Dosanjh's work commitments took him to a private jet. But before juggling his hectic schedules, Diljit relished some yummy treats. His lunch comprised creamy pasta salad, loaded with veggies, spicy and roasted chicken tangdi kebabs, crispy chapli kebabs and mayo-smeared grilled sandwiches. But that's not all. Diljit Dosanjh wrapped up his full-course meal on a sweet note. He enjoyed chocolate nankhatai topped with cashew nuts - a type of buttery and crumbly Indian shortbread cookie and a glass of refreshing watermelon juice.
