Steve Burton marries Michelle Lundstrom in intimate Laguna Beach wedding

Express Tribune19-05-2025
General Hospital star Steve Burton married chef and content creator Michelle Lundstrom in a romantic beachfront wedding on May 17, 2025, in Laguna Beach, California, according to People magazine.
The couple exchanged vows in a private Orthodox church ceremony, followed by an intimate ocean-view reception at Montage Laguna Beach, with 45 close friends and family. Burton, 54, told People, 'This day isn't just about a ceremony, it's the beginning of forever with the love of my life.'
Lundstrom, 44, known from Netflix's Barbecue Showdown, wore a strapless gown by Lee Petra Grebenau, picked with help from her daughters Lilah, 14, and Hannah, 10. Her look was completed by General Hospital hair and makeup artists Anzhela and Luiza Adzhiyan.
The bridal party included Burton's daughters, Makena (21) and Brooklyn (10), Lundstrom's daughters, and former GH actress Lisa Vultaggio. Burton's groomsmen were his son Jack (19), best friend Jeremy Ross, and GH co-star Jonathan Jackson.
The reception featured elegant floral arrangements, candlelight, and a soundtrack of 1980s music and movie themes. The couple's first dance was to 'I Choose You' by Forest Blakk.
Dinner included beef tenderloin, and their wedding cake — a vanilla sponge with vanilla cream and berries — was a compromise from Burton's original request for a classic sheet cake.
The couple got engaged in January 2025 and chose not to wait long. 'We just knew,' Lundstrom said.

Source confirms Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson's relationship is "sincere" following filming

Liam Neeson made headlines in 2024 when he told PEOPLE, 'I'm past all that,' in response to questions about dating. At the time, the actor appeared to have closed the door on new romantic relationships. Now, Neeson, aged 73, and Pamela Anderson, 58, co-stars on The Naked Gun, have reportedly entered 'the early stages' of a romantic relationship. A source close to the production has described their connection as 'sincere' and noted that they are clearly smitten with each other. Their chemistry has been evident during the global press tour. At the New York premiere on July 28, the pair posed together alongside their children—displaying ease and warmth. During an appearance on Today on July 29, Neeson and Anderson playfully pretended to be caught making out when the camera turned to them. At the London premiere a week earlier, Anderson planted a kiss on Neeson's cheek in full view of attendees. Neeson, previously married to Natasha Richardson until her death in 2009, had described Anderson in his PEOPLE cover story as 'madly in love' with her, praising her professionalism and character. Anderson reciprocated the sentiment, calling Neeson 'the perfect gentleman' and praising his respect and kindness. Although Anderson later clarified in Entertainment Weekly that their relationship remained platonic during filming, citing professional dinner events shared with cast members, the current reports suggest that their connection has since deepened into something more affectionate. As The Naked Gun prepares for its release on August 1, fans and observers continue to monitor the pair's evolving relationship with interest.

Selena Gomez reveals wedding dessert preference for future event with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has shared an early look at her wedding menu preferences, revealing both her dessert choice and what she plans to avoid when she marries fiancé Benny Blanco. In a new video clip released by her beauty brand Rare Beauty, Gomez said, 'I do know I don't want a big cake,' when asked about the wedding food she envisions. The singer and actress explained she prefers a more modest option: 'I think I'd want a mini one for just us that we can freeze.' Gomez also named her preferred dessert — her grandmother's biscuits and gravy. 'My Nana's biscuits and gravy,' she said. 'That sounds like dessert to me.' Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024. However, the couple have not yet begun detailed planning for their wedding, as confirmed by Blanco during a July 10 appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast. He cited conflicting work schedules, stating they have been 'working on so many things that we hadn't even had time to get into it.' Blanco added that they may set aside time over the summer to begin planning. As for the overall tone of the event, Blanco said he believes it 'will be, like, chill.' Gomez and Blanco have often spoken publicly about their shared interest in food. Blanco previously told PEOPLE that he often creates personalised meals for Gomez and advises others to cook for their partners as a sign of affection.

Happy Gilmore 2 director reflects on unexpected early plot twist involving Virginia Venit's character

Director Kyle Newacheck has shared his initial reaction to the surprising plot development at the start of Happy Gilmore 2, which premiered on Netflix on July 25. Speaking to PEOPLE, Newacheck revealed he was unaware of the major storyline involving Julie Bowen's character, Virginia Venit, until reading the completed screenplay. 'I did not see that coming,' he said. 'I would never have projected that that was going to be the inciting incident for this movie at the start of it.' Virginia, now married to Happy Gilmore and mother to their five children, is killed off in the film's opening moments after being struck in the head by a golf ball hit by her husband. Newacheck noted that the choice made sense in context. 'It's still within the DNA of the universe,' he said, referencing the original 1996 film in which Happy's father dies after being struck by a hockey puck. Bowen also addressed the plot in an interview, recalling her reaction when reading the script while on holiday. 'When I found out that I was killed on page 12, I started laughing,' she said. Despite the outcome, she was pleased to be part of the sequel. 'Of course, why would I not want to be part of Happy Gilmore?' She added that Adam Sandler was committed to involving original cast members in the sequel. Happy Gilmore 2 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
