Cheeseboy gives Orlando Pirates advice before Kaizer Chiefs clash
Former Orlando Pirates star Lebohang Mokoena knows what his former side needs to do to get a win against Kaizer Chiefs
Former Orlando Pirates winger Lebohang Mokoena, affectionately known as Cheeseboy, has shed some light on what his former side needs to do to claim three points in the Soweto Derby.
'I think it's going to be a challenge, but they need to get over that defeat as soon as possible because they still have the league and Nedbank Cup titles to play for.
'I think the psychological aspect is very important. They just need to get over this loss and refocus on the remaining matches,' said the former midfielder.
'The derby is just going to make up for everything because at the end of the day, the Orlando Pirates fans don't want to see their team lose against Kaizer Chiefs.
'Every game is going to be important, not just the derby, but I think the derby will be a great gesture to the fans,' explained Mokoena. Riveiro's legacy remains untainted
Although Jose Riveiro will leave the club after failing to secure a second Caf Champions League star, Mokoena feels his legacy at the club is cemented. The Sea Robbers' Betway Premiership title challenge also looks to be in tatters after their 0-1 defeat to Sekhukhune. The result leaves them 12 points adrift of leaders Sundowns with two games in hand.
Key defender Nkosinathi Sibisi will miss the clash with Chiefs after his red card against Babina Noko. It's been a bad week for the Sea Robbers, who also tumbled out of the Caf Champions League at the semi-final stage.
Chaine; Van Rooyen, Xoki, Mbokazi, Hotto; Makhaula, Mbatha; Nkota, Maswanganyi, Mofokeng; Mabasa .
We could see Patrick Maswanganyi return to the XI, allowing manager Riveiro to revert to a back four. Tapelo Xoki should deputise for the suspended Sibisi. Elsewhere, Tshegofatso Mabasa is often the first-choice attacker in domestic league outings.
These sworn Soweto Derby rivals meet in the Betway Premiership on Saturday, 03 May at 15:00. They meet again the following Saturday, 10 May in the Nedbank Cup final. That match also kicks off at 15:00. It's crunch time!

Orlando Pirates DRAMA: Relebohile Mofokeng's exit nears!
Orlando Pirates fans should be wary of the latest news coming from camp Relebohile Mofokeng. The 20-year-old's father seems adamant that a move to Europe must happen. Meanwhile, the club have several clubs enquiring about one of Bafana Bafana's brightest prospects. According to reports, MLS side FC Cincinnati, Al Ahly and Zamalek FC have shown interest, while earlier in the season, European powerhouses Barcelona and Glasgow Rangers were said to be monitoring the dynamic winger. In January, Orlando Pirates rejected a R25.8 million bid from Zamalek FC – a few days ago, they placed an R31 million price tag on the star, a clear indication that they're willing to listen to offers. I don't want to see him in the Betway Premiership again this season. I know God will answer my prayers,' Sechaba, Mofokeng's father, said '[Whether it's in] Spain, England, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Switzerland — Rele can play. I believe that with all my heart. Take him to Barcelona? He can play. PSG? He can play. Any country. I'll be happy — but not Saudi Arabia,' he added. 'Not yet. He's still young. He needs to compete in UEFA competitions. If he goes to Saudi now, he won't experience that. Yes, he'd be rich — but happiness is more important. You can have all the money in the world, but if you're not happy, it's worthless.' Mbule in, Maema next? Pirates raid Sundowns again
Orlando Pirates are reportedly interested in signing another Mamelodi Sundowns star. The Buccaneers already snatched up Sipho Mbule after the midfielder parted ways with the Tshwane giants. The player that the Sea Robbers are looking at is Neo Maema. The 29-year-old midfielder only played eight league matches last season and will be eyeing a move away to get more game time. Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is a big fan of the Sundowns star and is no surpise that Maema is linked with him. Soccer Laduma revealed that the Buccaneers enquired on the Bafana Bafana midfielder before even signing Sipho Mbule. 'Yes, the club is believed to have made enquiries about Maema. Actually he was the first one even before Sipho Mbule. It has to be seen what will be the next move because apparently he still has one year on his contract with Sundowns. And Kaizer Chiefs are also believed to be interested in him,' the insider told Soccer Laduma. Another insider said that the Sundows star might think of an opportunity of playing for Pirates and getting regular game time. 'At the moment the player also seems to he looking at the opportunity of moving away from Sundowns to go and play regularly somewhere. It could be at Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs depending on which club really needs him. But the player apparently just wants to play regularly,' the second source told the same publication.
